Great game by Wilson Central-they controlled the clock keeping the MJ offense off the field- MJ could not get the offense going-turnovers cost WC though. Glad to get the win but Wilson Central is better than their record indicates.

I agree with this statement, although gotta give the MJ defense credit, they were the lone bright spot on the team. Edited by MJGOLDENBEARS

Great game. WC played their hearts out.

MJ defense was excellent and the Bear offense played their worst game of the year. Penalties and turnovers and dumb mistakes; but MJ gets the win. A lot to improve on with many big games coming up.

Wish Central good luck the rest of the season.

7 point win over WC is not a good win for this program looking towards the playoffs.  Unfortunately, probably one and done after the first round.  Not on the same level as the real players in 6A like Blackman, Maryville, Whitehaven .....

AP; No one is in the same league with Blackman, Maryville and Oakland. Not sure Whitehaven is at that level; but they could be.

Major; I'm not so sure it was WC's offense keeping the MJ O off the field as it was the MJ O keeping themselves off the field with penalties and mistakes.

I'm sure the coaches let the offense know how " offensive " they were and will have their attention this week.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
