I still think Catholic will be down. I'm hearing rumblings about guys maybe transferring. Not sure how true it is or if it's just talk. But we shall see. Fulton has some really talented skill players and I'm sure Coach Black will be able to put together a good line.

Falcons will still have some skill guys but you have to have players to have a line .. and they just have any numbers .... maybe 2 guys that have ever played any ball at all and look to have any ability ..so it will be interesting .... you saying transfering because of not getting the financial aid anymore or ??? Wonder ..Q .. if they have to transfer outy because they cant get aid any longer does that make them automatically eligible at the school they go too ???   Maybe there is a lineman or 2 .. Fulton needs them ..LOL .. but Im probably correct in assuming it may be a WR or DB or someone like that ...

I don't think it's hefty but let's be real there are schools out there offering cash to schools and wanting two home games. I know of a few publics that have done that but the smaller schools said no. As far as playing 1A when posters make comments like good luck finding games you get them where you can instead of playing 8 or 9 games. But honestly Catholic is losing way too much to dominate games like everyone thinks. And based on the letter the parents received this week Catholic will probably loose athletes from their feeder schools because of financial aid being taken away.

Q ... does that include upcoming Jr and Sr's on KC team ??? Wonfer .. guess the TSSAA would make these kids elegible wherever they end up .. since the reason they would have to leave would not be their fault ......

Good Morning!  I've been gone a while taking care of some medical issues...just checking in.  So how are the Falcons and the Bobcats going to turn out this year in everyone's opinion.  I missed breakfast again this morning so I have no rumors to dwell on from the area.  Last I heard Fulton has drawn a little interest this year from so guys roaming the halls that could have and should have been playing all along.  Thoughts?

    • Understand the young thing.  I was one of those.  Barely 17 when I graduated from high school and started college.  But redshirting for athletic purposes isn't doing them any favors, in my opinion.  Life isn't always going to be fair.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
