  1. I agree it is premature to make decisions in June about something that is 2 months away. No one knows with certainty where we will be at that time. Perhaps the numbers go way down. Maybe we learn something new about the virus that makes it easier to combat. Maybe they develop a vaccine. Or maybe it is really bad and we have to shut everything down again. The bottom line is no one knows. If we do not prepare to be ready to play, then we probably cannot even if we get the chance. Let’s prepare for and hope for the best and choose the best course of action when we get there.

  2. I agree with how you are counting it. I want to know hospitalizations, hosp. rates, deaths, and death rate. That said, I don't think it hurts to take a little extra precaution to prevent something if it can help. If it drops the transmission rate as little as .1, that makes a big difference over the long run with potential high-risk people being infected with it.

  3. All rational comments above. This virus is now extremely political and extremely profitable. All information you get from the government and experts will be slanted. Things we know from studies in the US and around the world: Those under 18 are less susceptible to the virus. Those under 18 are more likely to have mild or asymptomatic cases. Those with mild or asymptomatic cases rarely transmit the virus to another individual. Those under 18 dying or requiring hospitalizations are extremely rare. The risk to our school age kids is close to zero. I am in a high risk group and wouldn't consider asking my grandkids to not participate in school or athletic events because they may pass it on to me.

  4. There will be football this fall. It may be different than what everyone is used to and may not be convenient for everyone, mostly for fans. But I do believe there will be football. It’s hard to screw kids who have worked their tails off for years out of an entire season, especially Seniors who don’t have another year of eligibility. HS is not like the NFL or College. Those guys will be granted another year of eligibility and be paid regardless. Hs players don’t have either of those luxury’s. It’s time to get over this Covid stuff, quit listening to the doom and gloom news stations pumping everyone with horror for their own agendas and get back to life. Just my opinion

  6. Congrats to Coach Darnell on the job. The Cobras will instantly become much better defensively. Coach Darnell's defenses at Pearl-Cohn have been strong. I look for either Tony Brunetti to call the defense himself or maybe Tommy Wilson comes back to serve as the DC at PC.
