  1. You can watch it here https://livestream.com/accounts/726212/events/4481510
  2. Well maybe those players need to learn to respect the sport. Its a football scrimmage so there is nothing gained by playing dirty and no shame in being as respectful of the other team as you are your own practice squad. Punks that don't understand that are nothing but thugs and will always need someone policing them.
  3. Its pretty clear on the TCA threads who Reitz is; he's part of the TCA broadcasting group and a TCA supporter. Its also clear that he thinks you are an Adamsville fan. If you aren't, then why don't you introduce yourself to those of us who don't know?
  4. The vandalism to motivate the team was stupid and could almost be overlooked because it was easily repaired except for the false blame they put on SPitt. The paying the college kid to practice with the team was a good idea except that it is illegal under TSSAA and possibly dangerous. Neither of these however gave Marion County's team an unfair advantage in my opinion. But breaking in and stealing playbooks is different. First of all breaking and entering is criminal. Secondly it did give Marion County's team an unfair advantage in those games. This throws their whole season into question and the TSSAA will have no choice but to strip them of all wins and titles if it is indeed true. If the team is allowed to play, possibly eliminating more teams and possibly winning state, and is then stripped of all of it, then what? On the other hand, if they are not allowed to play and it is proven that the coaches did not steal any playbooks, then what? I thing the TSSAA needs to do a fast investigation and if proof of even one stolen playbook is found then the whole season needs to be forfeited. I agree it is tough on the kids but that's the way life is. One member of a group can ruin it for the rest of the group; it happens all the time.
  5. First and foremost let this be an injury free game with sportsmanship that gives glory to God. I am looking forward to an intense game and I feel it will be close, coming down to a missed opportunity to score being the deciding factor. Its going to be tough all 48 minutes and the victory will be earned, not handed to the victor. I'm not going to predict because these two teams are too different. Defense will be the key.
  6. Big Blue fans coming from Jackson! Go Big Blue!!
  7. Hodum always chooses week 0 as his teams bye week because otherwise the bye week breaks the momentum and and the rhythm of the team. We saw that tonight. I am just glad THIS week wasn't the bye week! Congrats to the Eagles on another W. Over and done now, its next week and all about Lexington.
  8. Congratulations to the Lions on a well earned W!! Keep this momentum going into Adamsville. It isn't going to be as easy, but it is just as possible. GO TCA!!
  9. You will be in my thoughts and my prayers! You have been on the sidelines for every game this season haven't you? You need to be there so I hope that you will have an ultrafast and complete recovery.
  10. Fortunately Joey is fine. He got his bell rung Friday night but insisted on going back in to hold the ball for the winning kick. He wouldn't miss this game for anything!!
  11. Last night was THE most exciting football game I have ever seen. It truly was undecided until the last PAT. Both teams gave their all and both should be proud! McKenzie is a class team that is truly a force to reckon with. When we met before I was amazed with your player's "do or die" effort in everything they did. Last night, I saw that in our Lions and that made for a great game. Your fans were great and some came out on the field to congratulate us on the win. The TCA Lions will be representing West TN next week and I guarantee that this is an honor and a responsibility that they take very seriously.
  12. Butchie, do NOT start taking away from our players by making allegations for which you have absolutely no evidence or knowlege!! The ONLY thing that being a private school means for TCA Friday night is that we are playing a school that is twice our size with twice as many players and a tax funded football budget! But you are right, that won't mean diddly. Our boys will play with what they have played with all year long: grit, determination, and all the ability God gave them. No one pays anyone to play for us. And I know that for a FACT! The only factor in the outcome of Friday's game is those 22 young men on the field and their God.
  13. I don't think we got to see how good Humboldt really is. The TCA defense kept them in check all night. I was looking forward to seeing Quan perform but I know I didn't get to see what he could really do. No way can anyone demean Humboldt's ability. They played a very tough and very ready Lions team. Were we to play again, well, thankfully we don't have to, at least not this year. Congrats to Humboldt on a fantastic season. Congrats to TCA for a hard-fought-for win!! Now, as Stockerd said, lets move on. Next week's game follows the day of feast and thankfulness. We had better be ready!
  14. I am quoting you this time because last time I replied something you posted, you deleted your reply which caused mine to not make sense. I want your statement to be here tomorrow, after TCA wins.
  15. GO LIONS!!!! Its game day and the boys in purple aren't done yet. Tonight should be a good game between two good teams. I know you can't base anything on common opponents but for what its worth, the outcomes are similar. McKenzie - Humbolt 15-18, TCA 7-18 Union City - Humboldt 38-15, TCA 21-15 Adamsville - Humboldt 28-21, TCA 42-14 Peabody - Humboldt 13-3, TCA 37-17 Its interesting that both Humboldt and TCA defenses gave up the same number of points to both McKenzie and Union City while Humboldt's offense was able to score more. Against Adamsville and Peabody the outcomes for Humboldt and TCA were more different with TCA having much more decisive wins over both of these teams. I am hoping for a good game with no injuries and God-honoring sportsmanship. I know the Lions are ready and I believe TCA will win this one in an exciting, high scoring game.
  16. Folks, be careful trying to read something into tcaee's comment about athleticism. He is simply stating what is usually said about TCA's ability to win - not athletic or big enough. Please don't try to make a race issue out of what is going to be a really exciting game Friday night. I am looking forward to seeing these two teams compete and seeing Quan and Jabriel perform. Both teams have strengths and weaknesses and are very different. Trinity is a 1A sized school competing in 2A but certainly has the ability plus the heart and drive to compete against a very good Humboldt team. I am hoping for a great game that is injury-free and a TCA win!! Go Lions!!
  17. The defensive coordinator for Riverside had just left TCA as defensive coordinator a couple of weeks before the start of last season. He obviously knew the TCA plays and abilities very well. He was actually Jabriel's "agent" in the college recruitment game. That will still be an advantage for Riverside but not as much as last year. Two of TCA's coaches were star players at Riverside in their day. Its a grudge matchup between the coaches now! I am going to predict a TCA win by 10.
  18. Your wish has been granted! McKenzie has been in the Dirty Dozen every week. Check it out From today's Jackson Sun Its not an entire article but it is certainly an acknowledgement of the hottest teams in the Sun area.
  19. This "Multiquote" thing is fun isn't it? I just did what you said Butchie and found all the posts where our quarterback was mentioned so now its easy to see where TCA was beating ya'll over the head with Washington prior to the game. What's the saying.... better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and erase all doubt? Goes for typing too!
  20. Congratulations. Your team won. So why do you feel the need to take shots at our team, our players, and even our whole town?? I had intended to come on here and say some good things about the McKenzie team but ya'll really don't need any more praise than you heap on yourselves. I am smart enough not to fault the team based on their fans behavior but you do make it hard. While there is no doubt that the Rebels beat the Lions tonight and was the better team, can you really call 18 points "dominating?" The Rebels had a lot of yardage for those 3 TD's. Must have been some defense on the field don't ya think? I don't understand why some think that the score doesn't reflect the game. Maybe McKenzie could have scored more but why didn't they? And Washington doesn't need a "shot" at the SEC. He's in and we can all watch together for the next 4 years to see what he will do with it. Good luck to McKenzie with the rest of your season.
  21. Thanks for the update. I am so glad to hear that it isn't more serious!! I hope he will recover and be back to play soon.
