Marion County should be a win. Expect them to beat Westmoreland next year again, since they lost somewhere around 15 seniors this year. I would say 9-1, with a region title.

I didn't say no one could just because we couldn't. And I always hear this about the "REAL" team that is gonna show up THIS time. I can guarantee you this, the real Alcoa will show up, so your boys better come prepared.

Yeah, we obviously got whipped. I can accept that. It's nothing I didn't expect. But it's not completely illogical to think those things when a team produces Division 1 prospects every year. Put yourself on the other side of the coin, getting killed by four touchdowns by a team with monsters for players. It's just NOT normal for Alcoa's defensive line to be as fast as our recievers. But anyway, I'm done with all this talk, go get Goodpasture next weekend!!

Yeah, I know...I've heard all about them. I'd hate to see either one of them. I know both of of those schools are known for their prominence. If you give Alcoa anyone else's schedule in the 2A classification, they go 15-0 without having to stop and catch their breath.

I'll tell you just what happened on the field tonight. Shiverdecker was pushing 200 yards at the end of the first half against one of the top defenses in the state in terms of points allowed. I think it was 28-0 at the half. We simply got outmanned. They have an awesome defensive line, those guys are beasts. They were in the backfield in a split second on nearly every play. I don't know how these guys lost a game all year. They are the most incredible team I have ever seen at the high school level. It seemed that everyone had 4.3 speed. Shiverdecker could hit the tiniest hole in a second and break it all the way. That guy is amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does at the college level. Congratulations to Alcoa tonight, you guys were just too much...

I love how the Alcoa fans pretend like their team doesn't recruit...As I walked beside a few Alcoa coaches coming from halftime, I noticed one of them saying that he's been wanting them to get a concrete sidewalk coming from the clubhouse just like us. If they weren't spending all their tax dollars on players with 4.3 speed, they might be able to afford one.

Ok, maybe I'm a fool, but I would say that the guy was on the coaching staff because he was wearing a Westmoreland polo shirt, a hat, and khakis. If that doesn't sound like a coach, I don't know what to call him. Regardless, the man disrespected me.

I heard a lot of talking about Smith County being a one show throughout the week. I think it was proven last night who the one man show was. We played an awesome game as a team, and our defense buckled down in the second half and played like the team that was giving up 8 points a game coming into last night. Congrats to both sides, you played with all your emotion on the field. We just wanted it a little more. I would like you all to know, however, that a threat was made to me by somebody on the Westmoreland coaching staff. I was innocently taking a picture of the scoreboard after the game. He came up to me and started asking my name and telling me he was going to look me up if he saw the picture on the internet. He told me I had better get off the field if I knew what was good for me. I wasn't moving. I have all the respect in the world for the Eagles of Westmoreland. I do not repsect a middle-aged man who comes up to a 17 year old guy, trying to start trouble simply because he is a sore loser, and we got the one that COUNTS!!!

I thought this would be as good a place as any to make my first post on CoachT. We're gonna bring the bigger crowd, the better football team, and the mentality of champions.
