How about the District tournaments? Maybe collection points can be set up at each hosting District gym to collect money for clothes, food, water or what ever. Just a thought.

It would be nice if someone would set up a site to donate for all areas devastated by these storms.

sopH1025 deleted their post petty quick so maybe they seen it was wrong to post what they did. I would say it was just a kid that made a bad choice of post something. I would hope if I did something like that no matter my age, I would be man or woman enough to ask for everyone to forgive me, but that is me. I hope that all goes well for everyone that was hit by these storms and survived. For the families that lost their homes and family members I hope and pray for Gods comfort to each of you.

Van Buren travels well. Pickett County, Old District, Ex-Coach, Two good teams, Friday night, sounds like a big crowd to me. I know coach Bibb will have his boys ready to play he always does, and I am confident that coach Sullivan will have his boys fired up, if they need it. Should be a good contest. The way you guys came back and beat us on the mountain in the last quarter was like bleeding out. Well maybe not that bad but it was terrible none the less. Maybe we can return the favor. Good luck.

You guys have a pretty good team there in Bobcat country. I don't look for Pickett or Van Buren to hold anything back. It should be a fine tune up right before the District Torney for both teams. Those AP polls are a joke and no one including players should buy into them. The teams that has newspaper coverage have more exposure and votes than isolated schools. I wish you guys good luck in the game Thursday but I hope you loose against us. I love that electric feeling you get at a gym where a big game is being played, it kind of makes me nervous.

You are wrong to post this, if you don't care about things like this don't come on the board it states plainly what the subject is. Sure it really doesn't cover Mens Basketball but I would venture to say it has effected many players and family members. Where you may not be concerned about all the people that has died in these storms and the horrific damage they caused some are concerned about other peoples misfortunes. Everything seems distant until it comes home to you so show some compassion. Our prayers are with all the people who has lost family members in these storms.

Van Buren won by around 6 points we was up around 12 or 14 and went on a turn over spree and Eagleville cut it back down to 4. It was a good match up I am glad to come out of Eagleville with a win. They are a solid club.

I have already said you guys are a dangerous team. You have three bigs inside that are hard to deal with. Should be a great tournament.

Sometimes teams just don't play good certain nights, maybe you guys will be on your game when we come to Eagleville. I hope we beat you guys but I still hope it is a competitive game either way. I just hope whoever comes out of the District does well in the Regions.

Congrats to Forrest. I didn't see this coming I knew Forrest was capable of beating any team in the District but the way Community played us on the mountain I just thought it would be closer. Good luck to both teams in their next match up.

I would like to know as well. MTCS over the past few years doesn't seem to post much, but the Eagleville fans always do. Does anyone have any breakdown of the game other than Eagleville winning. Is this a rival game?

I see many opinions on here that I agree with and some I don't. Choices have to be made and most of the times they cost something. Loosing playing time, loosing starting positions and such. I would never bash a parent or player for making a decision like this. If I had a child playing basketball or a contestant in a padgent I hope they would do which ever they wanted not what I wanted them to do. But they will have to answer for the decision they made and move on. I don't see however if a player misses a practice or a game, due to an illness, death of a family member, or an injury they should be punished. You can tell the kids that are dedicated to the game and those out there just going through the motions if you are close to the team at all. With that OPINION stated and on another side, basketball has more than one player on the team and others are effected by a decision like this, so I can't question a coaches choice as to the punishment they deal out. I would have chosen basketball but I am not very pretty so it would be an easy decision for me.

This should be a great match up, a lot on the line at this point of the season. Forrest has lost a lot of games this year which I am not used to seeing but most games have been close ones. Cascade I think is capable of beating anyone if they come to play. I wish I could come and watch this game as well as the Community and Eagleville game.

A little to complicated for me but it looks like you have it all figured out. I would like just to win out and get a first round bye for the tournament. A tough task for anyone in my book.

Yeah there could be upsets. VB still has Eagleville away which will be a tough game for them. Also I am not counting out Community or MTCS, we still have them on our schedule. We will see who has the horses down the stretch to finish strong and take this District. It has been awhile for VB in getting a District title, we have been close a few times but have come up short. I like our chances this year with Baker and Smith and a cast of others that are picking it up. With that said other teams are getting better and are looking to knock the better teams off. I love it.

Does anyone open the gym for these kids to come and work on their skills on off days? If not it is the coaches fault. If the gym is opened and no one comes to work it is the players fault. From a outsiders point dedication in all areas would make it better. I would love to see the valley clean house in their district. Good luck

Yes, both Baker and Smith should play at the next level. I hope you are correct on thinking we will go a long way in the post season. It's a crazy thing though you never know what is going to happen. A bad game by your team or a great game by the other and it will be sitting on the couch wondering what happened. Good luck
