  1. WH-Heritage looked like they have very much potential; for 1A standards they have a huge offensive line and a bowling ball for a TB. They also have a very capable QB in Joey Mclung (I think, sorry if that is not his name)I believe they will present match-up problems for any team they face in 1A and I am really looking foward to when they play JBS. They played really sloppy w/ several turn-overs and what not but it is still early and they are well coached; I look for those kinks to be worked out. Todd Co. has been a solid team in KY the last few years and they appeared to have some good athletes but they did not have a lot of size. JBS also looked very good and sharp; they appear to be ahead of Heritage at this point but I believe the gap will be considerably closer by the time they meet. JBS were very balanced on offense and looked ok on defense; Defense is probably the biggest area of concearn b/c they lost some great players (Tuck) on that side of the ball but I do believe they will be just fine. They will make a strong run in play-offs and be 1 of the top teams in 1A yet again.
  2. As am I, they are very athletic but also very inexperienced.....
  3. Exactly and I believe WH is better than PC based on the fact that they had a strong base of younger players waithing in the wings. Specifically what has been referred to as a stacked sophmore class (now juniors) from last season. I am not knocking PC, they are a great team, I just think that this may be 1 of those years for WH.
  4. Yeah.....what he said; this guy knows his stuff, lol
  5. That is exactly what I am saying; not above and beyond but better none the less. At the very least Alcoa has the same team athletic ability as PC.....
  6. It was more or less a tie 1 score a piece, the extra point was uncontested.....
  7. I was referring to WH being more disciplined than PC more so than PC being undisciplined but I do see how it could be understood. WH will not see better athletes than they will when they play Alcoa so when they get to PC they will not see anything they havent seen already athletic wise. They also play Springfield who though inexperienced always have great athletes as well. I dont think PC is far and above WH as far as athletes anyway, probably more speed though. I see WH getting a lead and PC falling apart in the 2nd half and WH winning by 1 or 2 touchdowns. This is just my opinion; PC could blow them out who knows, I really could care less either way.
  8. Yup, and if I remember correctly her husband was the head coah. Who cares if it is a man or a woman as long as the job gets done correctly.....
  9. I am a Springfield alum myself so I wont be sad, however I will garentee you now that WH beats PC based on discipline alone. Take that and combine it w/ the fact that they are just better than PC, they may win by 2 or 3 touchdowns. So you are right, just got the teams backwards.
  10. How does this amaze you? Greenbrier looked sharp as usual while Springfield looked sloopy but as always had great athletes/speed all over the field. I am sure sure the sloppy play could some be due to inexperience as they graduated alot of players from last years team. I believe both teams will be fine this year; Greenbrier should make the play-offs and Springfield definitely has the potential to make it but it all depends on how quickly they put it together w/ their younger players.
  11. Yeah I like all the ones you mentioned in no particular order; I would also have to add "The Program" and "Gridiron Gang" as well.
  12. What time will this scrim be and is it at the middle or high school?
  13. Exactly; I played HS football myself and believe me we wanted to win no matter what. Even if the coaches didnt play the starters the whole time it was always enough to know who did the best/won.
  14. No one is knocking FCS just stating that if WHH can play w/ and hang w/ them even in a scrim says alot for WWH and maybe they are better than eveyone thought they were. Will be interesting to see them play JBS.
  15. I remember reading the same thing but when I came back to find the thread I couldnt find it anywhere.
  16. I apreciate the effort but any Springfiled topic gets pushed off the front page pretty quickly. Just not alot of supporters here I guess or they are just now discovering the inet.....lol
  17. I am not familiar w/ any of them at this point; how well did they do in the scrim?
  18. Yeah it does stink but from what I have seen from Roger this will just be a bump in the road; the kid will rebound, move on w/ his life, and be just fine.
  19. I just voiced my opinion I am not arguing; I dont believe he will transfer regardless if he plays football or not. He is and always has been a 4.0 student and this kid will not be defined on the football field and you can trust me on that.
  20. I am just curious; there was a QB at CW a few years ago that was really good running and throwing the ball and I cannot remember his name. I was just wondering if he is playing college ball right now and where.
  21. Just out of curiosity who was he plaing for in that video; it didnt look like a green uniform and they didnt look big enough to be college.
  22. I have no doubt he could play 1-AA b/c he is a decent athlete; I believe there is something he could do at Vandy if they would find the right spot for him.....
  23. I really am not that suprised; I believe WHH will be the team that challenges JB for the region instead of Cascade.
  24. You are right about that; those are things that are corrected w/ experience
