  1. I just love how these new teams in Williamson County continue to make it this deep into the playoffs. Unbelievable!
  2. No, I think he is talking about Flatt's recruits. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  3. Speaking of Coleman, will he or has he been redshirted? I hope so. I think that extra year of maturity really helps the qb's.
  4. Problem: as in Flatt was the problem!
  5. Did they lose that much from last year? Or is it the coaching. I'm also surprised at Baylor.
  6. I find it very interesting that after Flatt's "retirement" /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> that people are still talking about BA's recruiting. I, for one, think that BA's problem is now gone. Hopefully, the alums will leave him "retired" this time.
  7. P-Todd Miller-no- good pitcher, but struggled this year. P-B.J. Jones-? P-Justin Guidry-yes-came on strong for FA P-Kimball-no-better ones in the middle region P-Issacs over Bass 1st-Adelman-no-Boyd from BA yes (most talented defensive 1st baseman in the state) 2nd Stumb -no- but don't know who I would pick SS-Coley-yes 3B-toss up OF-Graham yes OF-Drew Burns-yes OF-Golden Tate/before injury- ?after injury C-Hostettler-yes-Stallings needs to concentrate on pitching (has a pitchers build not catchers) Other pitchers of note: FA-Brown, BA-Bledsoe & Stallings - BGA-Bass or Smith
  8. A friend has a daughter that attends BA. I ask him about this and he said that at BA a parent signs a letter in January with a deposit that is nonrefundable, but that the parents have until June 1st to make a final decision. So, the letter from Flatt, seems to me to be a "problem"!
  9. ....and since Flatt is now retired, he will be the next Ronnie Carter. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  10. That is some great news for Bradford. He is a great all around player. Do you know where UTC plans on using him?
  11. Who was their starting QB this season and what year was he. Also, did Cade redshirt at USC? I know it was at least 2004 when he lead the Rebels to a state championship. He is a great athelete and Martin is lucky to get him. I am assuming that he has enrolled for this semester, so can take part in spring practice. Is Martin looking at any 07 kids at quarterback? I believe with this addition, I would concentrate on other areas.
  12. If this is indeed true, how much eligibility does he have remaining to play? Will he have to set out a year? Let's hear it from the Maryville faithful. Keep us informed.
  13. Who is their A.D.? Do you think Cordell will transfer?
  14. Yep, you are correct. I was thinking about Rankin wanting one of the private coaching positions and that because he had enough years to retire from public, he could collect his retirement, and also get paid well by a private. Didn't he apply at FRA and BGA?
  15. This has been a long time in coming with the Supreme Court. Back last spring or summer, I forget exactly when, but the TSSAA said that they were going to try and get the Supreme Court to hear this case again. I guess it is their last effort to get it overturned before they (TSSAA) has to pay up. I don't believe this has anything to do with Flatt retiring. He would have retired last year, but the coach that they wanted had already signed with someone else.
  16. Just think. He will be doing the opposite of Rankin. Retire from private school and go coach at a public. If he would give Centennial about 4 years then maybe their program would be up to snuff with the others in their region. They have had the players in the past (and I am sure some now), but never had the coach to get the job done.
  17. There is one guy on the current staff that I think would have been an excellent choice for BA, but obviously it wasn't to be. I heard from a BA parent back at the beginning of the football season that Masters wanted to go outside the BA family. Not being a BA alum, I think that Masters wanted to get as far away from Flatts influence as possible. And, if you think about all the controversy involving Flatt, it is probably a good idea to get a fresh new start with an outsider. Maybe now the public schools can move on.
  18. USA, Have you heard anything about Potter keeping all the BA assistants or is he going to bring some new guys in?
  19. BA yes, Ravenwood, 5 years in existence has one state championship and one runner up. Brentwood, one state championship but was hit somewhat by the opening of Ravenwood. They will be back but still make the playoffs each year. Franklin, was hit hard when Centiennal opened, but is now back on the upper swing of things. They did make it to the championship game a few years back and to the playoffs each year. Independence, three years open and should have been in the playoffs this year at 7-3. They will be tough next year. Now, just think if you took all the top players from these five schools and put them into two. Williamson County is the mecca of all sports in Tennessee.
  20. The difference between Blount County and Williamson County football, is that Blount has two power houses and Williamson has five.
  21. You're right. The paper did say that Brothers removed his name from consideration. I understand that the search is on hold because of Masters being hospitalized, and I am sure they will wait until after the holidays to make a firm offer. I just hope that they are able to find the "right" fit for BA. Good luck in your search.
  22. Wesvols, Sorry, but, yes it does sound somewhat like the Alabama situation. Everyone knows that a black cloud has been hanging over BA for the past 10 years. We all know what a great Christian, atheletic, etc. school BA is, but we also know all the turmoil that has gone on. I think with Brothers turning down his alma mater, it will really make others think twice. Hope they find someone soon or Flatt just might unretire.
  23. But with the money that I am sure BA will offer, his wife could stay home with their child. And as far as golf goes, just think about all the courses in middle TN.
