Last I saw on TSSAA sight they had projected us (Cascade) CPA, Giles, and Page in the playoffs. I just noticed you have Marshall in also as a 7 seed. Do you see all these teams as a lock? If not who would be out? Thanks for the info! As others have stated, I am lost following all of this so your input on here is awesome!

This district is really a toss up to me. Mt. Pleasant being the only constant all year. Santa Fe, Culleoka, Richland, CA and occasionally Hampshire all beating each other. All of these teams have alot of parody. Hampshire,has some offensive fire power but the lack of coaching and lack of defense does them in. Dont know the coach but have heard other coaches talk about comments he has made to them and he seems to be a joke. Cornersville def lacks size,upperclassmen and strength. Missing Lovett really did do them in. They were beat down early on but I have been surprised to see they have had chances to win games lately only to fall short. Nice to see the young guys not give up. CA takes MT. Pleasant to overtime, beats Santa Fe. Nice wins but loses to no Defense Hampshire 2x's. Richland seems to have alot going for them but cant seem to find consistency overall. I feel as though they should be the number 2 team but have not proved that thus far. Cody Jordan can play! Santa Fe who started off league play nicely has fallen off as of late. Losing to Hampshire by 25 and narrowly escaping with a 2 pt win vs Cornersville. I hear they are having some internal problems. Culleoka has the talent to be the number 2 team to come out of the district also. They finished strong last season. Can they repeat that with virtually the same team? 2-4 in this district tourney are up for grabs. Do you see any upsets for this tourney?

Its always good to see a fellow district team get wins out of district! Congrats Forrest! Now when district play starts up I look to see Cascade make a run at the top this year!

Came out to watch some basketball on a Sat night and was surprised about the game. I thought Cornersville had a Pope kid at point guard? I did not know he was out. Saw them play this summer and thought they looked good. Sat, saw kids I have never seen before. I heard all they had was freshmen and the big kid is a Jr. Just looking at them I thought Loretto was going to kill them. This was not the case, the Cornersville kids came out and jumped them. I liked the point guard for Cornersville. He was way better than I thought he would be. Those freshmen are really scrappy. But this also was there down fall. They got into foul trouble and without a bench this changed the game to Loretto's favor. It was a 2 point game late in the 3rd when Cornersville had 2 big kids foul out. Loretto did what they needed and took advantage of, I assume 5 freshmen on the floor and put the game out of reach. Loretto is alot better than last year but not world beaters and Cornersville is super young but definitely not a pushover as long as they can keep kids in the game. Not the game I expected but it was fun to watch! Good luck to both teams this year!

Who is hosting the district tournament this year?

I believe this game will meet all the hype. Both teams have been playing well as of late. I know that Cascade winning the first game was such a confidence booster for the boys. They will not go into the game over-confident they have all the respect for Eagleville. I think Cascade will win but it will def. be a close one.

Hey distirct 11-A fans! I get such a laugh when I read all the bickering in your threads. If you cant tell Im a Cascade fan through and through. I cant help but notice that LeadFarmer likes to keep it stirred up over there. I was talking to a buddy today that told me he(leadfarmer) is the Darnell kids older brother. From what my friend said Darnell is a good kid but a bit embarressed by his brothers mouth. Farmer get a life! Coach Wilson has turned a one win a season dormit Cornersville program into a team that competes nightly. If in fact you are Darnells brother you should be thanking the Coach for helping your brother get to where he is now. Why in this day and time are people always making excuses for our athletes?! Did Cornersville not lose many players from last years team? I believe they did and if thats the case how many starters did they return? Shut-up and let the coaches coach!

Champions lost a close one to a good Community team. I think Community is better than their record shows. Although I think its the champions district to lose. We need to take care of MTCS Friday night!

Thats the story I heard also. I also heard that title 9 wasnt making them do this it was the principal and board agreeing to do it. My question is if this was softball angry parents why in the world does this affect basketball? Plus I thought title 9 was about equal right like if one team gets new uni's the other team should have the right to new uni's etc. What does playing first have to do with equality? Thats stupid IMO.

I agree that the numbers right now dont lie but I just dont feel in the run of things MTC is better than Forrest. I feel like Forrest will get it done they usually do some how some way.

My was I shocked to see the game score of this one. I heard Darnell was sick and didnt travel with the team. That makes a huge difference, he's a 10-10 guy if Im not mistaking. I also heard that Huntland shot lights out. I havent seen Huntland this year but they should be pretty good getting everyone back from last year. I cant wait to play them in the district again next year. Cornersville you guys will be fine once you get everyone healthy. The Stiles and Darnell combo is hard to match. Also I like your point guard #1, he can shoot the 3 and drive although he doesnt look to drive enough. I look for Huntland and Cornersville to both finish in the top 4 of their district.

Who is your top 4 teams in the district now that we have seen everyone play? In no order I have: Cascade, Eagleville, Community, and Forrest

Im with you I'm going to pick Cascade also. I think our boys keep getting better and this win would go along way from a confidence stand point to help us through the rest of the season. Good luck CHAMPIONS!

Clarksville Academy looks really good. I find it hard to believe that they dont win this district.

Dont know much about this district other than I have seen Culleoka and they look like a dominant team again. I have also seen Richland and talked to friends who have scrimmaged them. I would not overlook them at all. They looked pretty solid to me. I think they are one of those teams that nobody seems to be talking about and that will sneak up you. As far as the other teams in this district Im not sure about them. Cascade is making a push for a football state championship!!!!

I think Cascade is due for a win! But it will be a battle to get it. Forrests record isnt anywhere close to what they are capable of, dont let it fool you! GO CHAMPIONS!

How did the Cornersville vs. Moore Co. game go tonight? How did each team play? Went and saw Cascade beat Van Buren Co. in a shoot-out! Cascade wins 82-75! Way to go Coach Pope and boys!

After watching teams from both regions play I think this may be one of the most exciting region tournaments around. Good luck to both regions! Would love to see Cascade win it all!!!!

That must be a joke Noway he's that old. I've seen him a couple times and he does a great job! He's turned the Cornersville program around in his first year! My guess is he's 28-29? Keep up the good work Coach Wilson and good luck this post-season!

I like Moore Co. to take the district 11A tourney. I see them beating Culleoka in a close one. If the toureny is being held at Cornersville, I think the Bulldogs will make some noise over there with a possible upset.
