Keep praying and maybe we can all get prayer back at the games. I really have to question anyone who has a problem with a prayer for the protection of their children before a very violent sport like football. I am calling discrimination. My right ( and the rights of I would guess about 99% of the other fans in our area ) to freedom of religion is being oppressed by a handful of people who feel differently. Without covering all the details since it has been fought time and time again, America was "conceived" on the very principles this small handful chooses to discount. Some thoughts for this small handful.... 1. Taking a "spoken" prayer away does not stop prayer from occuring as I always pray for the safety of everyone prior to the game. 2. Removing the 10 commandments from public places does not mean that these God given laws "go away" and you no longer have to play by this set of rules. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. 3. There are no Atheists in heaven or in hades. ( Automatic change made by CoachT ) Think about that for a moment..... every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord. Even Satan KNOWS what Christ did for YOU and he knows the power of God.

1. Because most refs stink, they are passive towards losing teams. 2. Attitude of players possibly PO's the refs, who stink already. 3. Is it possible their are really penalties? At least on a couple of these?

DB 56 South 14 DB is for real as much as Greenville, they will prove it Friday night.As much as WACO would love to say "44-0", South will score. Boone 41 Central 14 Boone is tuning up for a run to the post season. Science Hill 49 Crockett 7 Something new in football Crockett needs to know...."the forward pass". Tenn High 56 Volunteer 7 The rocks are weeping in the Stone Castle, UT is watching.

People from Knoxville, Nashville, etc. are getting some of their own medicine. Greenville should not play up simply because the other areas do not have to play up. Is it best for high school sports? Probably not. But the T$$AA chose it and thats how it is. The T$$AA should probably look into a City vs County alignment. Imagine a conference of Greenville, Tennessee High, DB, Science Hill, Morristown East, Morristown West. Another conference of Alcoa, Maryville, Farragut, Fulton, Oak Ridge, Bearden. That would be some good football, but you would have some great teams finishing 6-4 or 7-3 and staying home for the holidays. It will never happen because too many good programs would have to stay home come playoff time, and it would hurt the mighty dollar for the T$$AA. So the trend will continue for the city schools to dominate county schools, brag about how good they are, and then most years get sent home with their tail between their legs. Greenville has proven this year that bigger is not always better. One thing I would like to see is coach salary comparisons at schools such as Greenville, DB, Science Hill, Maryville, etc, compared to West Greene, Cherokee, Sullivan East, Volunteer, Sullivan Central, etc. The $$$ talks and the results are clear. There is not a lot of difference in 17 year old boys in Maryville compared to 17 year olds in Sullivan County, but there is a huge difference when the better kids are in a program with money that can offer more to their athletes.

Well said. That's why the theory on performance against common opponents doesn't hold up. The only way to truly compare is to play each other.
