  1. Signal could lose to EH, Bradley, Greenville. Toss ups with Tyner and ND. Red Bank is an interesting match-up. I think 7 and 3.
  2. I do not see Norte Dame beating Catholic. Catholic has played with the big boys the past several years. ND did not beat anybody last year that was any good. Beat by a 5 and 5 McMinn Central badly and by SM. Good QB and skill people returning. Not very tough in the trenches against power running teams
  3. Bledsoe? They are awful. McMinn Central scored 97 at Bledsoe and best them easily at Central. The Warriors not very well coached either.Only one player that is very good. Team very limited on the offensive end
  4. Troll, you must be getting out in some sunshine. You are absolutely correct in your analysis. Would make 7AA a very competive region. Gives Signal some natural rivals in district play. I would suspect the BOC control member is doing his best to keep Red Bank and Hixson out of 7AA. Watching out for number one not the membership.
  5. Underestimated Central? Played Sloppy? Sounds familiar.
  6. Prayers for speedy recovery from Old Warhorse.
  7. What has happened to Sequoyah? Have they lost 3 of the last four games?
  8. Chief- Really, it boils down to what you do on the field during the regular season. Loudon can blame no one but themselves for the loss to a bad White County team. Beat White County and you are 7-3 with a head to head over Kingston. Just the way it is...Get over it and go beat CAK!
  9. I would say this is pretty dang close to what is going to happen. Thanks
  10. As usual the Indian is all over this. I suspect that McMinn Central and Polk will join Tyner, East Rdige, Chattanooga Central, Brainard and Howard or ND (Central has played in the same region as this before)...........Hixson, Red Bank, Signal, CCS Howard or ND plus the valley teams.........Sequoyah and Sweetwater head to north to join the "Killer Elite Region" Alcoa, CAK, Knox Catholic, Kingston and Loudon. Maybe Scott shifts somewhere. Two of the districts out west will broken into another district.
  11. " IF CAK does play 6 or 7 offensive players both ways then I do believe it will wear us down a bit, but just how much is uncertain" With the way Alcoa can rush the football, playing so many offensive players both ways will doom CAK against the Tornadoes. Most of these guys have not played much defense all year and one would think they do not spend alot of time in tackling drills.Having to take a physical beating for long extended drives will take a huge toll on the CAK passing game in the 2nd half. It will wear on the offensive lineman who have to play on defensive side also. Plus in the times I have seen CAK play, their defensive line is awful. Spend the whole night against Grace just cutting the OL. Not alot of technique or skill. I really think CAK does not change anything. Trys to turn the game into an arena game. Let Alcoa score and then try to score quick. If CAK trys to change what they have done all year, Alcoa wins going away.
  12. I agree. ND is at home. Speed kills. Not sure this game will be that close.
  13. At least Coach Flatt understands why the playing field for publics can be substantially different than privates. Nice article coming from someone who was at the very beginning of the public/private debate.
  14. McMinn Central has two assistant football coaching positions. The key is finding a teaching position in McMinn County. Send a resume Attention: Mickey Blevins Superintentant.
  15. Polk has an uphill challenge with the loss of the starting QB. Wildcats are very solid on defense and will give up some underneath stuff but limit the Chiefs opportunities down the field. Polk will try to limit Sequoyah possessions with long time consuming drives. If Polk can limit Chief offensive touches, they stand a good chance. Game in Benton is a huge plus for the Wildcats. Sequoyah has traditionally not played well at Polk (as alot of others)..........If the Miller has 200 yards rushing. Polk wins. Sequoyah throws for over 200 yards, I think they win.
  16. It is almost impossible to prove any thing involving recruiting at private schools. There is no doubt that the Norte Dame roster changed a ton from the spring and last year.
  17. Chiefs played well. QB is very good! Good luck down the stretch. Why on-side leading by three scores with less than a minute to go? Should not have been surprised, Sequoyah did the same thing against Meigs. That kind of stuff comes around sooner or later.
  18. Oh yeah my pirate friend......Kevin Wells is clad in Black and Gold and totin the tater for your very own Cherokees.
  19. At the spring game at Meigs County, ND dressed like 20 guys and looked like a middle school team. Understand there were some upcoming freshman not playing but amazing how quick the roster changed from May to August.
  20. Loudon is alot better than won-loss record and Sweetwater has only played one team with a heartbeat in Polk County. Redskins get a win over the Cats
  21. So what exactly happened at the end of the game? I have heard that chippy does not accurately define the events at the end of the game.
  22. Norte Dame could go 7-3 or 8-2 with the schedule they play. Single A schools, weak 2A opponents and a district that is way down this year. I would suspect the Irish will find scheduling a little more challenging in 2013.
  23. Kingston's opponents thus far have a combined record of like 3 and 2o something. Harriman, Oliver Springs, are among the victories. Rockwood is the best they have played so far and that score was 21-14 at Kingston. I think Lenior City exposes Kingston and wins pretty easy. 35-7 is about right.
  24. McMinn Central rushed for over 300 yards and had 6 touchdowns running the football. That is not an indication that you can stop the running game.
