This game definitely wont be a blowout by redbank. Boyd beat them last year, so they will probably do the same this year. Only difference being that the lions have williams at tailback now. As for Boyds QB, I thought Crowe was better than Hughes last year. He gave us fits in the game at Marion, definitely didn't throw it well last year, but he has a year under his belt and is probably fine now. Good luck Bucs, take it to the Lions.

I think that Bledsoe will be much improved from last year, and it looked like they have some good athletes, but I think most of them are young. 32 will be key for the purple warriors to stop. I think the score will probably be 32-13. Bledsoe always plays the warriors tough.

Youre right jetpride, this game could have been much different, especially the way yall came out after the safety and drove it down the field before stalling out on a couple of drives. I think maybe we wore yall down as the game went on. Both teams have tremendous room for improvement all the way around, especially at tackling. To say this team is equally as talented as any Marion Team ever has got to be the most ridiculous statement you've made yet....especially making this statement before they ever step on the football field...Now I give you this, your optimism is high and the team is winning something like 32-0 right now, but be realistic....they are no where ready to be compared to the great teams of the 90s... Right on PirateTom ............CC is terrible, the final score was 38-3, with the jv playing the final quarter and a half, and we had 3tds called back. They did have a really good QB, but I bet he will be sore in the morning . This Marion team was very very sloppy tonight, especially to start with. Hopefully it was first game jitters, because the way we started, SP would be up 21-0 before we knew what hit us. We have a long way to go, so get busy this next week boys.

Hey guys, Marion plays Cumberland County this friday and I was wondering how they look since yall have scrimmaged them and what are our chances against them??

Personally, I don't care what you call us, jasper, Marion...........makes no difference, what is in a name?? Honestly, I do feel that this is the best chance for Marion to beat SP this year, will they do it.............I don't know. I do know that if they expect to beat SP this year then we better make short work of the jets this Friday. if it is a close game then I doubt we can play with the athletes of SP. Some of you say this team has a long way to go to be as good as last year. I think that is true, but this team is better than at the start of last year, no question about it, should be interesting in three weeks, thats for sure!!!

Ok, so it was in place last year and your backup in the jamboree couldn't run it correctly??? Your back up took 2 steps back then went down the line, then made bad reads and pitches? If so easy, then maybe you try putting an OL in there to run the veer, probably will do a better job than the second team. And as far as Travis, I have full confidence in him now after seeing how he played in the jamboree. Putting Brocks at QB is like us putting Jones at QB. They both can play the position and run the ball as a QB, but neither are true QB's. Hey Jets, I am from Marion. I think that Marion only lost around 10-12 seniors from last year. Numbers are up with 75 out and were going to be senior laden this year. Lost a couple of key players from last years team, but the first of the year is a good time to catch them, they should be clicking by the end. Marion is definitely going back to a running system much like the mid nineties. We have 7 coming back on defense and 5 on offense, but there are a lot of kids and a couple of transfers that played a lot last year, but just weren't starters... What bout the jets, tell us marion fans some about yall

Yes you are.........The veer is a very simple offense to learn. You only have a couple of reads in the offense, it isn't nearly as complex as some think. You study the complexities Veer offense at Gamestop??? I believe our kids will be fine with a spring and summer under the coaches. They ran a version last year in the second half of the season, so it was already in place.......but KC has been helping them understand it more. If Trey gets hurt, Matt won't be the QB it will be corpio and the difference in them are corp is faster and trey can throw better. The similarities are the same with SP no matter what you say. SP has a QB that has a cannon for an arm and is commited to UTC. No offense to Zones boy, because he is a pretty good athlete, but SP's offense would suffer if Terrell went down. Both teams are a couple of injuries away from being mediocre. I am sorry that I didn't record and study SP's defense like you do, But we will see how it all goes in three weeks..............I just hope that marion doesn't get embarrassed like you say they will. There is just no way we can score on the D and we will never be able to stop yall with all the athletes all over the field

Yeah we are doomed I tell ya......................lol...............We are terrible!!!!!! Marion will beat whitwell and grundy by at least four or five touchdowns apiece. It was a lot like SP did in their second game against whitwell. Mostly jv with some starters playing other positions like corpio mixing in at running back when he scored. He wasn't in there every play. Very vanilla all night like most teams are on jamboree night............we probably ran a whole 3 plays, maybe four. Think what you want, of marion, I think they will probably be just fine.

He calls it more of a spread wing-t, very similar to what we are doing at Soddy. So it is South Pitts offense.....................without the athletes??

I have watched this team practice and scrimmage alot this fall and back in the spring. They are as good defensively has the teams the Warriors had in the 90's. Fear the purple and Fear the Boeck. Ummmmmmmm...........no, they aren't. That is ridiculous for you to sit and say you have watched them practice and they are as good the 90's team. Lets get a little further into the season and see what happens after that third game and even Boyd. Lets say this defense shuts out SP and Boyd, then they can enter the discussion, and that is an extremely tall order. I do think that this team can be very good, but I see a 8-2 season probably. I am sure MM is in high school and has lots of school spirit, but lets be realistic here. Tommorrow I will have some scores from that 94 team for you to look at.

Reguardless of what you think, Ken is a great coach and most people realize that his assistants helped him win a bunch of games. head coaches get too much credit and too much blame, I believe......it is all about the staff that is in place. I don't believe Troy and Ken will bump heads, I know that yall would like to see that happen, but I think you will be dissapointed Good luck this year!!

Sequatchie will not face another team like South Pittsburg until the playoffs. It doesn't matter what i did and it doesn't matter if you were impressed, if you weren't then I am sure you wouldn't be any other time because I always had career games against grundy and I am sure you saw me from the stands.........getting back on the subject, I guess you are half right. I wasn't at the scrimmage, just heard about what happened. From the way it sounds, it wasn't a pretty sight and dicipline in kids is a pretty big thing in my book. Maybe on the mountain it isn't. For instance, MC scrimmaged howard on friday and as soon as the scrimmage started a starting lineman got in a scuffle with a howard player..................what happened?? Coach Boeck sent him to the locker room to change out of his uniform.............and probably after running monday, he wont do it anymore. Trust me, we have had the type of coaches that haven't had dicipline in their program, and for yall's sake, I hope that these young guys have it and have the respect of the players.............if not, we will all watch the train wreck.
