You only play who is on your schedule. This schedule allowed LaVergne to gain confidence especially with a young QB. Look for this team to put on an offensive show this week.
This says alot about the middle school programs in Rutherford County. There are alot of good coaches in the middle school programs, and it is starting to show when they get to high school.
This will be a huge test for Riverdale. The feeling is they are not as talented as teams of the past. Their high rating is due to what they have done in the past. They are now about to get into the meat of their schedule, and if they are not careful they could be the ones left out in this region.
I agree. The fan support has been awesome, and it is solely due to the energy and efforts of the new coaches. The challenge for MC will be keeping the fans excited and providing everything these coaches need to stay around.
Coaching will prevent Marshall County from when games outside of 3A. Although it has been better lately, the coaching is still not what the people of Lewisburg was expecting when they brought this new group of coaches in. I think Coach Thomas is doing a great job. I just don't think he has any good help.
Looks like you assume Antioch has been to more playoffs, and you know what happens when you assume. You have made my point. If you can count 6- 8 players still playing college ball why don't they win more? Their conference has been dominated by Sumner County schools along with Hunter Lane in the past 5 years.
Secondly don't give me the demographics argument. That is getting old. The coaches may be good, but the facts remain they are unable to get talented kids to compete.
The kids at Riverdale, Smyrna, LaVergne, Lebanon, and otheres all started out in middle school as well. They all seem to cope with the transition. Why is this the case?
It is amazing how Antioch continues to get great talent from their feeder schools, but they never "pan out" when they get to the high school. To me this game comes down to coaching and LaVerge will win this game due to the lack their of at Antioch.
