  1. She is really 6"2' if not taller. If memory serves me correctly, it was an ankle / foot type injury. Don't quote me on that, but....
  2. I remember just a few years back (well....the 98-99 season), RSCC had players from Harriman (Mindy Purdy), Kingston (Verionca Kirby), Midway (Leslie Rucker), Scott High (Renae Allen & Amy Hamby), Wartburg (Wendy Terry), Oakdale (Nancy Scott), Cumberland County (Jesse Inman), Anderson County (Kim Amos & Jennifer Hatmaker), White County (the late Lindsay Floyd), Charleston--aka Walker Valley--(Laura Davis), Austin-East (Carmen Faulkner), Campbell County (Renee Tapp), Huntland (Leslie Smith), & one from South Carolina (Simona Brown). If I left someone out, I truly apoligize. So....you can see how many local girls they had on a very, very talented team that was just mere seconds from knocking off Walters St to advance to the nationals. Like I said earlier though, that's a totally different song and verse.
  3. If Brandi Brown and York can stay healthy, WATCH out my cyber friends. Last year, Miss Brown missed a majority of the season, but....she was back just in time to totally dominate come tournament time.
  4. I remember a time not that long ago (late 90s / early 00s) when the RSCC ladies program was on the up and up, but.... I won't even go there right now!! I will say that with lot's of hard work, Coach Wright can get the program back to at least that level, if not at the level the program was at in early to mid 80s.
  5. I would like to take a moment and say that you, the Anderson County football family, are in my prayers. I also want to take a minute to wish you guys nothing but the best tonight between the lines. Good luck guys! Coach Stiltner
  6. I want to truly apoligize for the comments made by ask_me. That is in NO WAY representative of how 99.9% of the people in Oneida feel including 100% of the coaching staff and players. Take those comments with a grain of salt. Coach Stiltner
  7. I remember one night, my JR year, we (Oliver Springs) were playing Powell Valley for Homecoming. With just a few ticks left (3 sec or so), PV called a timeout trailing 28-22. At one time we led 28-0 before a bunch of idiots left their locker room trashed for them to see at HT. We had the ball at the 3 yd line. Coach came out and told us to take a knee. After he left the huddle, the SRs (mainly the QB) called a slant pass which I would score on to make the final 34-22. Boy was coach ever mad---screaming that now he had to go apoligize because a "few dummies" ran up the score.

    Richmond race

I'd be a fan of the 9 if it were a bicycle being peddled around the track.

  10. Oneida @ Huntsville should be a good match-up Thursday night as both schools come into this contest 2-0, 1-0 respectively in the TMSAA small school north division.
  11. CoachT friends, I do not know all of the details, but I do know that ALL of those involved with the HERD (especially the basketball program) need our prayers as they deal with the loss of a popular, smart, hard-working student / athlete. Coach Stiltner
  12. Man, I'd drive the end of the earth and back to watch my team!!
  13. Festus, It clicked as to who you were last night when granny called to wish me Happy B-Day!! I believe she had been on the phone with you for a little while--LOL!! R Squared, I will be coaching baseball, but....I am scheduling both baseball and softball. I'm waiting for a call from Jellico about a game, but....if we do not play I will need a game; if they do schedule, I will need a scrimmage. So...give me a couple of days and I will let you know for sure. We travel together to save on bus fare!! As for the Big One's, I'm sure we'll come alive my friend!!
  14. riot, I wasn't making excuses for AC--I was just answering your Q about if AC had any talent in the FR or SOPH class. I'm sure I forgot to mention players like Ryan Farmer & Cody Seiber, so...I'm going to quit before I make a former player mad since I have helped coach many of the SOPHs and FRs on the team. Another Q: Did AC & Scott High meet back in the 80s and 90s?? Any insight would be helpful on my part because I am only familiar with the past 4 years.
  15. RunningRiot, I can say that the top freshman at AC are either starting on varsity or dressing varsity and playing a little JV my friend. Take for example: Chad Coleman, Zeke Rogers, and Paul Longmire (all freshman) Coleman is either starting (or playing a lot) at fullback and linebacker--varsity level Rogers is playing a ton at safety with an occasional carry at RB as a freshman Longmire is getting reps with the varsity (even playing some snaps on Fridays) but playing JV And the guy who was to play freshman quarterback Colton Phillips--broke his collarbone, so.... So....I can keep going and going, but....freshman and JV results don't quite mean the same thing as Friday nights!!
  16. Look for a JV to be released either today or tomorrow, but....here is what it looks like at the moment: Sept 12 vs Sunbright Sept 19 @ McCreary Sept 26 @ Coalfield Oct 3 vs Jellico Oct 10 @ Oliver Springs Oct 17 @ Sunbright Oct 24 vs York
  17. r2, I can vouch for the vehicles using the gas brother. After driving from Helenwood & Pioneer to Norris for 4yrs either 5 or 6 days a week--the last 2 in a gas guzzling dodge quad, I got as close to home as possible my friend. Like you said, it was either give up ALL of life's finer things or....so, I joined Friday's opponent. GO ORANGE & WHITE!! BTW, do you have any open dates for either a game or scimmage in the upcoming Baseball & Softball season at Union??
  18. At least the Allen County greenbeans are tasty and good my friends!!
  19. King, How much money u have cause I ain't talkin'!!
  20. MENTOR, Let's see: work or CoachT--hum?? LOL
  21. How tough is their REGION?? How about the toughest in the entire state of Tennessee. I mean ALL AE & Fulton do are win GOLD balls, Catholic and LA are coming in off Regional C'Ship years. Add in ever so tough Kingston and a much improved Scott High and there you have it my friends. The AC staff is truly second to none, so..I'm sure Coach Kerr and his staff will have the boys ready to go and battle for a region championship!!
  22. Coach McKinney at Coalfield tells me (or told me) that York has cancelled or backed out of the scrimmage--that was as of Saturday night!!
  23. Kingston is Region 2 3A in the TOUGHEST region in the entire state: Austin-East, Anderson County, Catholic, Fulton, Livingston, and Scott. Now back to Region 2-2A: 1. ALCOA---Hand down, out, or up 2. Loudon 3. Sweetwater 4. Rockwood 2-4 is probably a toss up my friends!! 5. CAK 6. Wartburg 7. Oliver Springs
  24. Kaz, Oneida-Wartburg is no longer a scrimmage, but...it is a REAL game to be played during Week 0 on August 19th at Wartburg. Thanks, The A
  25. Even I would like to take a minute to say good job to the two Lady dawg seniors (Milicent & Whitney)--what a successful career (though battling many injuries) you've had in Wartburg athletics--BBall and softball!! Good job!! Coach Stiltner STILT for you sportsmom--LOL!!
