  1. HC scored on DC's younger players. From what I saw, I don't think HC ever scored on their varsity. DC's starting defense looked pretty good. HC did move the ball on the first drive against DC's varsity players, but after that there were several three and outs until the back ups for DC came in. DC looked down offensively and was unable to move the ball on the ground all scrimmage except for a few plays. Like I said, when DC put in their seconds, HC moved the ball.
  2. If you are not a Brentwood fan, then who are you a fan of?! You sure aren't respectful of any West TN teams. Why would you come on this board and complain. Brentwood is the only team that should have a beef in this matter! Oakland gets to host an overrated Franklin team, Blackman gets a less than great Metro school, and Mt. Juliet gets a less than great metro school (who they've already beat. Who should have a complaint other than Brentwood? Quad 4 is much tougher than Quad 2 (and I know its not as tough as Quad 3, but it is what it is), go start some mess on those boards! Look who their 1, 2, and 3 seeds are! If you need to complain about any school, go complain about Bradley Co. getting a 1 seed!
  3. In the defense of both schools, the difference between 5A and 6A is one student! There isn't a whole lot of difference. Dickson did play two of the top 5A schools in the state in Henry Co. and Columbia. Those schools would sure enough compete in the 6A playoffs as well! Brighton did play Northside, who is one of the top schools in 5A. Don't blame the system, blame the geography and the Memphis schools for not getting enough in the playoffs! Dickson had to go west. Both schools had to play their district schedule. Dickson is in a 9 team district, which only left them with two non district games! Sorry Brentwood fan, but it is what it is....To be the best, you eventually have to beat the best! Now lets talk about this game instead of seeding.
  4. Rhea County is 5-5, Franklin Co. is 5-5...You must look at the 2nd tiebreaker according to TSSAA, which is teams on schedule with at least 50% winning percentage. Rhea Co. has played 5 teams and Franklin Co. 6, thus Franklin Co. is the last team in.
  5. McGavock will actually be a higher seed than both Franklin and Brentwood, and if I'm not mistaken, Overton will jump Franklin too...if you go to the tiebreakers. That could mean that Brentwood and Franklin are the last two seeds in Quad 3! Two teams I wouldn't want to see in the first round.
  6. Also, as unfair as it sounds, Brentwood will have to be the 7 or 8 seed in Quad 4, because they have the lowest total of wins (7)....McGavock and Overton have 8. Doesn't make a whole sense to have the winner of a district seeded lower than the runner up, but if the TSSAA rules for playoff standings holds true, it will happen.
  7. This should be the way Quad 4 turns out...only speculation, but I don't see a whole lot of changes: quad 4 1 white haven 2 brighton 3 dickson co 4 arlington 5 wooddale 6 collierville 7 germantown 8 white station
  8. As stated on other post...Franklin Co. is actually in and Siegel will more than likely be out. Look at tie breaker #2 on TSSAA website. Franklin Co. has played 6 teams (after tonight) with 50% winning percentage and Siegel has played 5. Everything else should be about right. I think this will shake up Quad 2 and 3.
  9. If the numbers are crunched right, this win by coffee county actually puts Siegel out and Franklin Co. is in. Both schools are 5-5, so you must go to the second tie breaker according to TSSAA, which is teams on schedule with 50% or more games won....After tonight, Franklin Co. would have played 6 and Siegel would have played 5. I don't neccessarily agree with this, but I think thats whats going to happen. I think the only 5 and 5 teams that get in will be White Station (2nd in district 16), Lincoln Co., and Franklin Co. There won't be a whole lot of shake ups to the Quads from last week, other than seeding.
  10. Several of those schools are highly doubtful for even making the playoffs (ie. Houston, Germantown, Cordova). I don't forsee those 3 all getting in. 2 out of the three is still doubtful, I see maybe one out of 3 with a 5-5 record getting in. You have to remember that there are several possible 5-5 schools in East TN and Middle TN that will get in over these teams (Siegel, Lincoln Co., Rhea Co., etc.) simply because of the computer rankings (wins against better opponents). If these East/Middle TN schools get in, that will push the quadrants further west and will put Dickson Co. in Quad 4. More than likely Dickson will be in Quad 4.
  11. Highly doubt that Dickson will overlook Clarksville. Clarksville took Dickson to the wire last season, and could very well do the same this year. Don't think that will happen, but I'm confident the cougars are not looking past this one. That being said, DC rolls 31-7.
  12. Don't have a dog in this fight, but after hearing what Dickson has done this season and watching the Springfield game last week, I just don't think Springfield will be able to hang with DC. DC rolls! 28-7
  13. I have to give the edge to Henry Co. in this one. After watching both teams play this season, I'd say Henry Co. is much more disciplined and has a defensive edge over the Jackets. Neither of the offenses have been that impressive. I'm going to go with a score of 21-7. Although Springfield has started hot, reality now begins to start! The next two weeks are not looking very good for the Jackets as they have to play the Patriots and then travel to Dickson to take on the Cougars.
  14. I would want my best running back on the field against Dickson Co. and their defense. Dickson Co. is for sure gonna have their best RB on the field! I don't think this game is gonna turn out the way some of you are assuming. Not saying that Dickson will win this one, but I sure think its gonna be close! Just a reminder to some, 2 out of the last 3 times Dickson has played B'Wood, Dickson has won. So, don't rule out the Cougars just yet! This one will be a close one till the end.
  15. I thought you just stated that you do not bad mouth everyone in 10AAA! Why would you bad mouth a Dickson co. team that went 6-4 (and could only play 2 non district games...One a new rivalry against a VERY GOOD CreekWood team and another against a long time rival, Columbia who is also a VERY GOOD 5A school (both infact are #1 seeds!), yet you have mentioned nothing about about a Franklin Co team that went 4-6 (and played minimal 6A competition) or a Coffee Co. team who went 3-7 (and played minimal 6A competition), both of which are in the playoffs!!! You must not know how scheduling games works! Sounds like you have something against Dickson Co. and District 10AAA! Because you previously stated your predictions about Dickson co's game with Hunter's Lane on Friday, I am going to assume you have never seen Dickson Co. play and that you are an uninformed fan or a Coach who tried to get a job at DCHS and was turned away! I doubt that Hunter's Lane easily ROLLS over Dickson like you stated! It WILL NOT BE A THREE TOUCHDOWN WIN for either team! I am also gonna let you know that NW will not be easily beaten by Gallatin. Beech, who is a pretty darn good football team found out a lot about NW during week 0! So, calm down with your bashings against 10AAA and all of the built up anger you have against DC. And just wiat until Saturday morning before you comment again! And please, please if 10AAA has more than 1 team still alive after Friday... ADMIT YOU WERE WRONG!
