Who do you think will win this Region 2A match up between Oakdale @ Greenback? Can the Kees' remain unbeaten this season? The Kees' SHOULD beat them but we have to stop making the small mistakes and contorl the football from the start. We've had a slow start in the first half the past 2 games, so G-Back has to get off to a good start in the first half, espically w/ these final four games (all region games). If G-Back is hoping to beat Coalfied, Midway and Oneida this probably the most important thing we can do. But no matter who wins or loses, you can "Bank on it" that it will be a battle to see who will claim the Region 2A Championship!!!!!

sbtigerfan, I played for G-Back for 4 yrs, graduated in 07 and that yr we went 1-9. So I know how u feel just hnag in there it will get better. It took us 2 yrs to actually get going again. Goodluck to you all hope you all win.

4-0 greenback going to union county of course I've gotta say g-back. But now we have to come out and play. We can't afford to do like we did last week at Harriman fumbles and penalties, that almost cost us the game at in the 4th.

yeah seems like that guy has something negative to say about every school program in the state. oh well every school has em... i think coalfield wins this one

Should be a pretty good game. If GB can keep the careless mistakes to a minimum they should come home with the win.

I went to the loudon vs. mcminn central game but wasnt impressed by loudon at all. they made several mistakes on both sides of the ball and looked very young. hopefully greenback wil go into the game prepared and put another win on the board. go kees!!!!!

I hope we do. The coaches, parents, players, fans, and community deserve a good season. They are putting a lot of effort into their team hopefully it will pay off. I dont know where we could find the helmet design for greenback but we may be able to get a picture of it and post it on here. ill see what i can do if no one else can find it on the net

due to the increase in the size of the team coach kil may try moving some guys around so no one has to play on both sides of the ball. i hope he does anyways that way our guys dont get tired as quick. GO CHEROKEES

i heard they lost like 15 seniors (including their starting qb) so i dont know how good they will be. its still kind of up in the air i guess.

DID ANYONE GET TO WATCH THAT SCHRIMAGE TUESDAY? I HEARD GREENBACK HAD MADE SOME IMPROVEMENTS SINCE LAST YEAR.

yeah plan b would be okay if everyone had a mathmatics degree to figure out who they were playing in the first round when they use wildcards. i like the cherokeans plan better.it definately needs to be looked into more.

who are the players to watch from oneida? Ive heard the woodard brothers,houston hood,holden sexton, and a few others.

Smelcier was a great guy to be around and a very athletic individual.As far as I know he took a job with one of the sevier county high schools (seems like it was pigeon forge) due to better pay. He was Greenbacks head baseball coach for a few years and all the guys who played for him loved him. Im not sure what else he coached for at Greenback.

yeah that also had alot to do with it.Trai Glenn had a bad night along with a few others.The defense played half way decent but they couldnt put any pressure on coalfields qb.oh well maybe they will play as a team friday.

Greenback could win this game if they would come out and play as a team. Last week against coalfield the qb (bunkie vanskiver) was way to focused on publicity and not focused enouph on the game. Rumor is that he went around the school friday saying that he wouldn't be throwing to 1 receiver (no names) because he was sick of that guy getting more publicity than him.If you watch the game film you will notice that he stuck to his word. even when that receiver was wide open bunkie threw the ball to someone with double coverage or he threw it away.thats stupid!!!! dont get me wrong i am as big of a fan as anyone when it comes to greenback football,but you cant win a game like that.maybe we need to start hunting a new qb.
