Sorry my friend but Murf left 3 seasons ago. Clarksville Academy then to Whitehouse Heritage. Matt Dyer runs the program now. Senior orientated for sure.

3 linemen out. Best weapon is dismissed because he won't practice. 1 true running back left. Little experience at WR. Best threat knocked out and probably lost for the yr. Can't do much in 3a with that. It was already going to be a down year and last night was the bottom.

The only child I know that has come to SC lately from another school lives with his family within walking distance of the field. I'm pretty sure Jimmy checks these things pretty seriously considering all that is at stake. The player, the team and the school lose in the end if wrong. I really hope the people that man the rumor mill find another school to pick on. This crap only hurts the kids in the long run.

Just a point of reference for Warren Co students, if you are 0-3, don't BOO and curse your opponent as they walk on the field. Calling the Owls "Sh_t County really wasn't a good idea. Great job Owls.

I have to go with my home town staff. Jimmy Maynord and his staff get more out of less talent than anybody I have seen. I am alittle prejudice though.

Let me preface this by saying that my son started both ways in last year's game against PC. #1 and #2 are the stupidest things I have ever heard stated on CoachT which discredits anything else you would have to say on the subject. As for #3, the word "convict" pales in comparison to what my son was called for four quarters on the field. Pearl-Cohns coaching staff and administration were some of the nicest people I have ever met and we admire what PC has accomplished the last two years. People like you give high school football a bad name. Hope you enjoy your trip to Carthage. If the field is wet, it is called rain. Our irrigation system is shut down for the winter.

After losing 56 to 0 in Junior High one Tuesday night, our cheerleaders followed us to mid field chanting "We're so proud of you". A bit annoying to say the least. The air horns at most stadiums is another pain in the asparagus.

The guy from Smith County has been in the booth for 31 years without missing a game. Not many can do that and be "bad".

Having been involved in football for several years, I have seen very few bad officials. In the old days, there were a few "homers" but all in all most were decent. Tuesday night at a Mid School game I saw a ref wave off one face mask, not call the next one and skip a horse collar because the tackler didn't pull him hard. Not to mention the jersey pulling on offense. At this level is were I have witnessed a drop in performance. And it has gotten worse every year. Any comments?

Being associated with football for 30 years I have found a kid's diet has as much to do with hydration as anything. Bananas, fruits and vegetables help alot. We tell our kids to drink their body weight in ounces of water. What they drink today is for tomorrow. I took a class with a former NFL player who suggested Gatorade and water mixed 50/50. Players who swear off cokes and other caffeine also do better.

In 1974, I watched SCHS vs Livingston at LA. Game ended up 21 to 20 SCHS winning. Jimmy Maynord QBed for LA. That was the 1st thing I mentioned when I met him 11 years ago. Great game. My dear brother was a tackle for SCHS, then called the Carthage Owls.
