Tigers and LA are not top tier teams but they're both improving. This was one of the most competitive, enjoyable games that I've seen for awhile. To me, this kind of hustle and hard play is what HS basketball is all about!

Don't know about your "cave to demands". I do know she's exciting to watch and has made Upperman into a serious state contender. It's apparent that LA could have used her talent .

Upperman reminds me of the 2007-08 Gibson co. team. Levi has it all and makes everyone around her better. Too bad LA let her get away.

Rumor is that an ex LA player will be going to UHS this year. If the rumor is true, he could be a huge plus for Upperman.

I'm not trying to start an argument nor put anyone down but a stronger schedule over the years could have made a difference once they reached the state tourney. When you play in a very weak district and region, you basically have to play that schedule.

Definitely not overrated!

Not trying to be disagreeable but I think the district is weaker than it's been for a while.

Last time was 2001-2002 season . Lost to Jackson co. at TTU. Only won about 7 games that year.

Clay co. defense, with about two minutes to play, looked about as good as you will see in single A.

I have no problem with the format but I'm sure it's easier to like when both your teams get a bye.

Am I missing something here? There are eight teams in the district. My 'old guy' math may not be very good but that equals four first round games. Are you saying there is a first round bye for # 1 and a play in game for seven and eight?
