  1. Wow this thread has blown up this week. The Milan fans are confident about this game and I can see why.. They have a very good team this year. The only problem is they will be playing one of the best teams in the state regardless of classification. Alcoa should win but if we play careless or stupid with the football it will be a lose. However I expect to see a hungry Alcoa team come Friday AND a very competitive game. Alcoa 35 Milan 23
  2. Turtle we hope to see A-E next year. Thanks for the support....
  3. Talked to one of the Milan faithful today and was told he was playing.
  4. color=#FF8000][/color] Bulldog is Milan kicker really good??? I would say Alcoa's is average for High School.
  5. Maryville been there done that. White Stations just glad to be here. Maryville 38 Whitestation 20
  6. I have watched Alcoa 9 times this year and he's played maybe 10 quarters all year at linebacker. So yea I'm pretty sure. Also Alcoa will have a chip on their shoulders after the results of the Mr Football awards. This team and its players will want to prove something. Not that the players that won didn't deserve it because they had great seasons as well. However Toney's performances in the big games cannot be denied. Prepare for a statement performance!!!
  7. Bulldog Fan #2 Tyson does not play defense unless someone is hurt.
  8. THANKS KEV-O, I'm figuring were both bringing it back. Good Luck
  9. Philip Juhlin is a very underrated player. Someone will get a diamond in the rough with him. I have thought all along that he was one of the best quarterbacks in the state.
  10. I have the utmost respect for the Milan program. I have personal friends that have played for the dawgs. Milan has proved that they are one of the top programs in west Tn. Having said that they will be facing the F5 on Friday and Milan has not played anyone close to Alcoa's level all year. Their schedule has been fools gold. That will be exposed come Friday night.
  11. Come on.... R U serious! It was 43-15. Does it look like they had any trouble with YORK. I mean you guys beat Elizabethton by less than we beat York. Must mean ya'll are in big trouble!! Lets be honest about it. Everybody saw the game last year. Neither team turns the ball over alot. Both teams love to pound the rock. It will not be a high scoring game. I'm not saying milan will win and I'm not saying Alcoa will win. But didn't Toney play running back last year. Didn't Avery have 22 tackles last year. Mostly the same cast of characters back this year. Anybody who thinks this game is going to be a blow out either way is an idiot! BIGPURPLEMACHINE, I just gave you my opinion. Maybe your right and its a low scoring game. I could see that with these two teams being run oriented. Don't count on it but it could happen???
  12. Maryville's won 85 out of 87. Pretty dang tough!!
  13. Lets hear all the RUTHERFORD COUNTY and DAVIDSON COUNTY FOLKS NOW. BIG BOYS HUHHH!!! Your just lucky Maryville hadn't been in 5a this whole time. Congrats to the Red Rebels on a great win tonight. One more and Blount County does another sweep. I guess the BIG BOYS reside in Blount County NOW!@!!
  14. This post is too funny... This is the best ideal the tssaa has ever had. Short drive for the Blount County teams.
  15. Wow all this talk about open zone. The last time I checked there's nothing wrong with that in our county. Our administrators in this county don't want to limit our kids on where they can go to school. That's why the private schools have grown so much in this state in the last 20 years. Parents want their kids to get a good education. Alcoa offers that and they have an awesome football tradition. As for this game, Milan is in deep trouble if they had problems with York in the first half. Alcoa's going to pound the rock on the Bulldogs and there's nothing they can do about it. This game will be close for a half and then Alcoa will put it away in the second. I expect the F5 to touchdown about 4-6 times on friday. Milan will be fortunate to put up more than 14 points. Of course this is just my opinion and we will have to wait until friday to find out. GO TORNADOES !!
  16. Congrats to Elizabethton on a great year. Maybe we will see you some time soon. As for the Torandoes, we just played Alcoa football tonight. Total domination from our d-line and our O-line. Who's Next???
  17. nobody cares who likes/dislikes the chant. also nobody cares about "too hype" either. advice though.. really gets our guys going when you have the nerve to stomp on the "E" at mid-field as AE did while our boys do the chant. another thing, we have the best defense in the state so dont be too quick to talk about "pounding the rock". and yes i know alcoa has a very good defense too. if they didnt they wouldnt still be here. if elizabethton slows down the running game of Toney, look out. my prediction is coming middle of the week. Wow, Betsy that confident about their defense. The best defense in the state???? Well I actually got to see Betsy play against CAK. I believe the score was 14-13 CAK. Alcoa has played CAK twice and in those two meetings CAK has scored 17 points. One of those touchdowns was on a kickoff return in the first quarter. So, logically thinking you wouldn't believe that Betsy has a better defense than the Tornadoes. Let alone the whole entire state.
  18. When you play teams with excellent defenses like CAK and Loudon, you are not going to run up huge scores, particularly when the teams are as familiar with Alcoa's offensive tendencies as these two. Alcoa played each team twice this season and has played one or both of the teams twice per season for the past 5 years. There aren't a lot of secrets among these three teams. You might get an argument from elsewhere in the state, but it's my opinion that District 4 is home to 3 of the top 8 3A teams this year - Alcoa, CAK, and Loudon. This season CAK and Loudon both may have their best teams of the past five years. So, rather than being surprised by the scores, I kind of expected the games to go pretty much the way they went. When you play good competition, you will not always dominate. Chauncey there is know doubt that CAK and Loudon are 2 of the better teams in 3a. If both of these teams were in the west bracket. At least one of them would still be alive maybe both. Remember CAK did beat Elizabethton and Loudon beat polk county. So who would you put in front of Loudon and CAK? Lets say Milan and Elizabethton but who else.
  19. Chauncey the stadium at Elizabethton will hold well over 6000 thousand people. They have a big stadium for a 3a school. Alot of people like to stand around the stadium. Should be a very good game.
  20. How is York still in if people are making these comments? The answer is the west bracket is very, very, weak in 3a this year. 5 of the top 6 3a teams were in the east bracket this year.
  21. Great game Loudon!! You showed why we have the best region in the state in 3a. If Loudon or CAK was in the west bracket, there's know doubt that one of those teams would be in the semi finals. As for this game we played very sloppy tonight and our coaching was questionable at times. Why in the world on 4th and less than a yard you run a FB trap??? That was a TERRIBLE call. You give it to Toney straight up the middle OR you do a quarterback sneak. Also not using Tyler across the middle is unexplainable. Give Loudon some credit they did a good job up front but we didn't make the plays that an Alcoa team usually makes. We dropped a touchdown pass on the first possession. Made a terrible call on 4th and less than a yard. Our quarterback threw an interception when we had a guy wide open for a touchdown. That's three scores that we missed tonight. We better get our heads out of our BUTTS or we might not be as happy next week.
  22. Tornado89, I also have seen Betsy play against CAK. To be perfectly honest I thought CAK played very sloppy that game with like 10 penalties and 2 turnovers. Kind of surprised that Elizabethton lost that game. However it sounds like Elizabethton is playing on all cylinders now. We better come with our A+ game or we will be at home come Dec 4th. jwcardin there is only ONE F5!
  23. Wow this score really shocked me. I thought this would be a very good game but it looks like it was all E-TOWN. You never really know which A-E team is going to show up. Congrats to E-Town and hope for a great game next week. P.S. Turtle It looks like A-E will have to wait until next year to play Alcoa.
