  1. I'm a little bias. But Columbia Academy's fans "Marty's Party" (reference to their head coach) are really loud especially considering how few of students they have at the school and they also have traveled quite well this season.
  2. You are correct. It's not. Just the truth. You ask a lot of girls that play basketball and they will agree with you that girls' games are played at a slower pace. And because they are played at a slower pace, they are usually not as exciting and they also have less scoring. So you add everything together and the guys' games are more enjoyable and should be played at the later time period.
  3. East Hickman's gym is pretty nice. And I know everyone that has been to CA's gym "The Pit" hates it. But the students their like it and it is a very original gym.
  4. Yea, i agree about wanting to sit near the action. But at least at CA, you don't have to walk on the court just to get to your seats like you do at Santa Fe. So that is an advantage for CA's gym, but the one negative is that you can't see all the gym unless you are standing on the railing like their fans do. So if I was someone who just wanted to sit and watch a game, I wouldn't enjoy it that much. But seeing as I am not one of those people, i really like the originality of the gym.
  5. This is really dumb. I know at some schools the fans only come to the guys games, not because of time, but because the guys games are more exciting. So aren't a lot of fans just going to leave after the guys game? I know a lot of people I know would do that.
  6. Yea, Whiteside had a great game tonight. He has played exceptionally well all year so far. Averaging over 15 points a game so far. He has really stepped up when some of the other players have not played very well. He has been CA's most consistent player on an inconsistent team. And Santa Fe's student section was weak. They have about 3 times as many fans as CA, yet they sat down till the 4th quarter and through the first 3 qtrs. they would stand and sit every 10 seconds or so. CA's fan section was pretty good considering the number of fans they had tonight. And Santa Fe's parents were quite loud. The loudest I have seen so far this year. It was a good game by both teams.
  7. CA beat Santa Fe in a pretty close game. CA was winning the whole game, but just couldn't ever pull away by more than 10 or so. Ended up winning by 4 or 6 or something around there. # 31 on Santa Fe(their best player) was shut down the whole game.
  8. Yea, Rector is an amazing runner and he isn't bad at passing either. He was better at throwing than CA's other QB. I don't think that the coaches ever gave Rector a real shot to show how good of throwing QB he was. If you were at the Zion game, he did quite well. Yes, i know, that was only Zion, but he still impressed me with his arm that game as well as his legs. Just an all-around great football player and has been CA's best player since his sophomore season. Top Linemen: Gilbreath Defensive MVP: one of the Wayne Co. linebackers (forgot which one it was but he was really impressive) but truly this one is a wide open race. Offensive MVP: Rice or Rector Do they give an offensive MVP, defensive MVP and also an overall MVP?
  9. Sorry but he shouldn't be up for consideration. I believe with Monkey Wrench. If you look at his percentages of TD's to INT's then he isn't any better than anyone else. The only reason he had a ton of yards is because they threw the ball 50 times a game. His average yards per completion isn't that great either so he was just a good QB but by NO means could he be the Region 6a MVP. Sorry to burst your bubble on that one. Disagree with me if you want but if every AB threw as many times as he did then they would put up double the stats as Pugh did. He is by far Zion's MVP but if he was on anyone else's team, he would not have been their MVP. He had a good season but not a Region 6A MVP season. Top three candidates (in no order) 1. Rector 2. Rice 3. Gilbreath No one else that i can think about.
  10. True. I think he should have been nominated. I saw him play twice and he played like I would think a Mr. Football nominee should play. I can't say anything about Gilbreath because i never saw him play because he did not play against us. I'm not saying that he shouldn't have won. But I would think that to win Mr. Football you should play every game..
  11. Yea, i agree that Rector was the best rusher in the region by a good bit. And i also believe that those stats are not correct because i know that Rector rushed for over 1000 yards this year, so putting that in the equation as well, he was the best rusher in the region by far. I would put him in the top 3 for region MVP with Rice and Gilbreath being his competition.
  12. I was planning on going to the games this weekend and i was wondering if players get in free and if they do, do they need to bring a roster or anything like that?
  13. Santa Fe beat Mt P. by a good amount.
  14. hahahahaha /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I don't think any one player really stood out for the whole year consistently. Especially because everyone has gotten used to it being marco and there wasn't another Marco there this year so it is hard to pick any one player because no one reached his status.
  15. CA beat Davidson Academy in overtime by four tonight.
  16. Who all did they play in the tourney?
  17. I'm sorry to hear that. He was a good football and basketball player. Cornersville will really be missing him. I know how the recovery is from tearing your ACL (i tore mine last year) and he should be fine for baseball but if he is gonna be doing physical therapy through all of basketball season. Good luck through the recovery and hopefully Cornersville will do decently without him.
  18. CA beat Nashville Christian by three last night. 47-44
  19. Good luck to both teams, I'm happy to see MTCS made it to the playoffs but their trip ends at Wanye County. Wayne County is just too good so we are not going to see an upset by MTCS. Could be a decently close game though.
  20. CA won 27-15. Should have been by a lot more, but had some costly turnovers inside the 5 that will really hurt them in the playoffs but in this game it didn't really matter. CA really dominated the game from my point of view, but it was a good game to watch anyways. Congrats to CA for the win over a cross town opponent.
  21. they play wayne county. they play wayne county.
  22. yes, ca will be in the playoffs if they win, and collinwood loses. yes, ca will be in the playoffs if they win, and collinwood loses.
