  1. Siegel has played both of these teams and I would have to say that Centennial will take this one easily. Scales is probably the fastest player I have ever seen in high school, and that even goes back to the Riverdale glory days with Gaston Miller and Antwaan Smith. I think Centennial with their speed can beat Glencliff by 21+
  2. This week is going to be very tough, I cant wait to make my way up to Brentwood on Friday night. But when it all comes down to it, the game on week 9 will be a slugfest and I am sooo ready for it. The atmosphere is always great, but if things keep up like they are this very well could be the loudest and craziest atmosphere I have ever seen in high school football. My mouth is watering for this one.
  3. Riverdale Gallatin Wilson Central Mcgavock by 100 Brentwood (Hope Im Wrong) Oakland Mt. Juliet Overton Cookeville Beech
  4. The building of this program is finally being affected by there being 3 other 5A high schools in the same city. When people use to move to Murfreesboro and their children played football, they would move to Riverdale zone because they wanted their children playing for Rankin who was and probably still is the best coach in Tennessee. Now that he has left, other coaches are getting an edge when it comes to "recruiting". You saw Shadowens have more success when Rankins left, and now other coaches are getting a chance. I am actually still suprised at how well riverdale has held up over the last 3 years, because I thought their time was up. But the way this year is going, I still dont know how to feel about their future with Aydellot
  5. Yea, well they were ranked 6th in the associated press so opinion or not they know more than both of us. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  6. Where is Oakland on this list? They have the best record in the best region in tennessee
  7. Your team manages to find the end zone 1 time a game with what was thought to be the best rushing attack in the region. And you beat a Lebanon team who was scared of the endzone by 1 point. Lebanon wins by a touchdown
  8. That is a pretty high praise of a team who is not really backing that up. Riverdale will always have talent. They always have great coaches there too, but if Riverdale had more talent then those great teams of the past, why cant they win big games like those teams could? Just wondering... Anyways, this game is going to be a test of how bad Siegel is tired of being at the bottom of the pile that is Region 4. If Riverdale holds on to the football this could get really challenging for Siegel. But seeing Siegel play against the best wing t offense IMO in Wilson Central. I feel like they will play well enough to earn a win. I like Siegel by 2 Jesse Chambers field goals. 23-17
  9. Lol never too late to start but I'll take: Siegel Wilson Central Smyrna Lebanon White Station Dobyns-Bennett Beech Brentwood Academy MTCS CPA
  10. I have yet to see Oakland play, but I was highly impressed with Wilson Central. This is a great week for Region 4 football. The Smyrna-Blackman game will be a low scoring dogfight IMO, and this game and the Siegel-Riverdale Game will both be games with the winner scoring in the mid 20's. Im calling Wilson Central in an upset because they run a very smooth offense with alot of misdirections, but Oakland is a very good football team and this one could go either way. 24-21 Wilson Central.
  11. This is a tough one to call. Smyrna has only scored 25 points in four games averaging just more than 8 points a game. Their competition has been slightly tougher than Blackmans. I predict this one to be very close. But in the end I have to go with Smyrna because of a minute advantage on the defense side and because I think Bryson is starting to perform. Although I'm not comfortable saying this because without him, Smyrna may be the worst team in the region. I call Smyrna 10-7 in a heartbreaking loss for Blackman.
  12. 1.) Riverdale- He has been successful for a very long time. 2.) Oakland- The only reason he isn't #1 Yet is because this is his first year, Im eager to see how much success he has the rest of the season. 3.) Wilson Central- Solid team year in and year out. IMO they have the best offense in the region. 4.) Blackman- They seem to be playing unlike any blackman squad I have seen in quite a while 5.) Siegel- Watson is probably the worst head coach in the region. But they have a great staff. Wyant was a great addition and has really improved the Star's defense.
  13. Hillsboro and McGavock have been the teams I have heard the most about. Although I dont really see Mcgavock beating the winner of Franklin's region or the winner of Region 4 in a state playoff game. So I would have to say Hillsboro has a great shot. Also if we were just talking nashville schools, MBA is pretty darn good this year.

    Kickers?

I like Jesse Chambers from Siegel. He may not be the best in the state, but last year they won 2 or three games because of his clutch kicking and in the tough region they play in. He is only a junior and I have seen him kick a 50 yarder before. He has a bright future ahead of him no doubt.
  15. Two of the best players I have seen so far in Region 4 would be Staley Haynes from Siegel, who is a powerful, good blocking full-back with a great speed burst. And Justin Bowers from Blackman. He is a solid player who can pretty much do everything from the defensive to the offensive side of the ball. I would also say Caleb Barber from Wilson Central has a good future ahead of him. Is he the brother of the Rogers reciever who plays at Tennessee?
