Any one can have an off shooting night a bounce not go there way but by 42. That is a spanking; not 12 on the blaze home floor. It will be an interesting district race this year, as will the Mt. I know high school sports are highly emotional and when people live with rose colored glasses on about their child it makes it much worse. I too am very emotional and loyal to who I care about. In this case when people are wrongly accused it hurts and you want to defend them. I am a fan just like everyone on here and no this is not the place to air feelings towards people unless the stone is cast first. I will disagree with you on the drama issue. All schools and teams have drama. Everything is great until playing time becomes an issue. When your daughter is riding the pine it is always someone else or an excuse why. Not saying this in your case but in general. But if the shoe fits then so be it. My daughter plays in a different district than Murfreesboro so I don't have a dog in this discussion. If I could choose a coach for her to play for it would be at Riverdale. Maybe I will move to the boro so that can happen. I look forward to a great season from the Lady Warriors and keeping up with all those predictions. Maybe the blaze will make it back "when pigs fly".

Ahh Smokey we meet again. I too played 3 sports in HS and 2 in college. I am thankful to my coaches for pushing me in all the sports. I am glad you are NOT my coach, pushing me to be my best, to work hard and not quit when it gets tough. We know the real meaning behind your post. Since I know the coach/player you are writing about I will let you know that 4 girls are running track, 1 softball, 2 volleyball all at the encouragement of the coach. She has also encouraged players to work in the community, church, and other volunteer organizations. I am proud of this coach for her dedication to her players.

Well Mom of the player I have nothing against your daughter, the note that you and the mr. sent to the parents explaining why she quit explained why she is a quitter. Many atheletes set on a bench all season and do not blame the coach when they were unable to return to full speed following their injury. That is life, they stay on the team and support them, they don't report a false charge of being recruited to another AD and then move to that school. Another question I have, why let her spend the night somewhere with the coach, I believe hubby said something earlier about you do what the coach tells you or your daughter pays. If you feared for your child why did you follow CM to Riverdale. This is crazy and I apologize to everyone except HiCotton and his wife here, this is my opinion, certain parents are thorns in the sides of coaches, you two - well your the whole thorn bush. I do know CM very well and your daughter QUIT she was not let go from the team she QUIT. Say what you will the parents do know the story we do know the truth. Your postings are to try and win over the other Rutherford County teams so that hopefully someone will take a chance on your daughter playing for them- knowing what kind of luggage she carries with parents of your sort -good luck with that. Think what you want of me I don't care, I have never stalked anyone in hopes of getting them fired so that I could feel better about myself. I have never allowed my children to do something I was uncomfortable with, I am the parent not the coach, if I don't like it I would have a civil conversation with the coach expressing my concerns. Only bringing her up because that is why HiCotton got this whole mess stirred. They moved in hopes to follow CM and when she didn't play because of an injury and lack of ability he started this whole thing, his goal is to get CM fired, real nice guy. Any parent that does something like this that makes their own child look so bad and true its bad for her but she was not an innocent bystander either, she has the same wish for CM because she couldn't play for her. Ok Riverdale man I said I wouldn't but I'm gonna address this. Hicotton may have some sort of receipts because he is the root of the problem. If you think it was unethical for your daughter to spend the night somewhere why did you let her go? Says something about your parenting I would not let my child go somewhere or do something that I felt was unethical. Also CH never recruited your daughter, you live under this impression as if your daughter is good enough to be recruited, I have seen her play she couldn't be recruited to a good rec team. So she gets hurt can't return, and when she does whines that her foot still hurts and can't play, I don't know any coach that allows players to play in games when they can't cut the mustard in practice. You get mad at the coach and she quits and yes that is being a quiter (just so you know many injured players stay on the team while they recover because they are TEAM players) as yours is not. So you cry recruiting violation, meanwhile you stock CM house, admitted to driving by her house to see who's car is in her driveway, and now your daughter is at BLACKMAN - did they recruit her? Oh thats right you have made her high school years so nice by stirring all this that you claim she is being harrassed (imagine that!) Perhaps I'll send a letter to TSSAA and get that looked into. You are one sick puppy. Sorry folks this is personal when one person sets out to have a coach fired because their daughter is not good enough to play it becomes personal for all us other parents that support CM and what a great coach and mentor she is to our daughters. The flier was in error, anyone that knows anything about CM knows that there was Never any intent there. TSSAA has given their harsh ruling and she accepts that so move on. We get it she is guilty under TSSAA for inviting middle school players to her game, and thank goodness you were not handing down her sentence or we would be getting the electric chair ready. I think all that know her, know what a fine lady she is and for all those that show their support I know that she appreciates it. Really, I don't think Coach Maxwell would want ALL middle schoolers coming to Riverdale, because then she would just have to deal with ALL those lots of parents that think there children are the best. They invited "all" Middle schoolers instead of "ZONED" to go Riverdale. Sounds like real heavy recruiting huh?

Its so sad that in your life you never had a coach or teacher that was such a strong role model for you that you wanted to continue to learn from them. YOU obviously do not know Coach Maxwell or you would know the itegrity and pride that she and her teams carry. She is an awesome role model to young women and there is no shame to wanting to be under a coach like that. Being a coaches wife, it is quite entertaining to hear the ignorance that some of you allow yourself to post on Coach T, others of you obviously know what this game is about and the politics (good or bad) that takes place in athletics. Those that cry "cheating" or "unfair" are often victims of living behind rose colored glasses, thinking and truely believing that their child is the best player there is, when in fact they may not have any talent at all. The coach sees that lack of talent and their sons/daughters get no playing time and suddenly the coach has done something wrong or they are a terrible coach. I have 3 children, 2 have been given athletisism, one not so much, and I thank God everyday that I have have been given the sense to see that. So for all you "cheater" calling fools, stop rearing your ugly heads, Coach Maxwell is good as gold, she is a talented coach and an incredible person, do not slander her character over a typo. Move on people and GO LADY WARRIORS!!!

Riverdale's chemistry is the best I have seen this season. They seemed to be more fluid as a team since the lost to Cookeville. They had a great Christmas season with 2 championships in 2 very good tournaments. I have only seen them play a couple times this season but they seem to be having fun playing together. I am not sure Jaclissa was shut down with only a few points. One of the parents in the stands had her for double digits in assists and rebounds. Great players take what the defense gives them. She has a great cast around her and they seem to be playing well together. Coach Maxwell seems to be playing a 7 or 8 person rotation since the Cookeville loss. Bringing Spurlock off the bench and 00 gives them a spark and solid play when needed. I wish them luck the rest of the season. Coach Maxwell and my former coach seem to be a great team together. Go Lady Warriors

Mr.Lifsey has done a great job of conducting the interviews. After talking with one candidate personally he felt like they had a great vision in how to turn the girls program around. I take my hat to Centennial for trying to get it right this time. Coach Williams had great things to say about the school, the committee and there process too. Good luck to the Lady Cougars.

I hear Williams has been offered job at Centennial but leaning to Riverdale still. I know he has not been contacted by Independence about opening.

This is a coach with around 20 years head coaching experience and has never been let go from any other positions that I know of. He has coached Div 1 and a nationally ranked JUCO. He has 300+ wins. His time at other schools have seen there wins increase dramatically under his leadership and coaching. He is very respected by all of his peers, ask Coach Maxwell. This was just a raw deal handed to him. Remember people in Brentwood have alot of money and it talks. Let's just wait to see who may get the Ravenwood position and then the story will write itself! I have played for Coach Williams many years ago he was awesome then and has been a great mentor. They come no finer!

What is the latest at Ravenwood? Have they completed the search? I hear Coach Williams is heading to Riverdale with Coach Maxwell. The boro gets another great coach from WCS if this is true.

I was told that Ravenwood's former coach has been seen at Riverdale lately talking with Coach Maxwell. Could he be one of the assistants. If so great pickup for the Lady Warriors and another loss for WCS.

It is a shame that good coaches leave Williamson Co as they do. Barnwell at Independence, Maxwell (41 wins in 2 years) at Independence, Boucher ( starts program and goes to Region)at Ravenwood and Centennial, Williams at (Ravenwood near 300 wins and first winning season in school history) Brock at Page consistant 20 game winner. Levy going to Region first year at Franklin. And others not to mention in different sports. We talk about life lessons; what are we teaching the kids now. As and outsider to athletics it is hard for me to believe that we are so ruthless about HS athletics. The leaders of most schools are the coaches and if there is no stability in these positions who will lead the school? the physics teacher! No disrespect to Physics teachers.
