I don't believe that number is true. and Twitter beef still doesn't make the game or the fee make any sense.

Any small/struggling program would take a whooping for an "obscene amount of money". And those contracts are public record. There would be a story on it in the local press if it were true.

This isn't true. Doesn't make any sense. Why would they want to pay to play someone that may beat them?

It was like a 2 minute google search. Most of the ones i can recall from Knoxville were a while ago, but we've had our share too.

They're both against the rules. But proving an inelligble player is much easier than proving recruiting.

Great line-up this week: Rhea Co. @ Bradley Central William Blount @ Hardin Valley Halls @ Central Farragut @ Fulton Catholic @ Powell This is perhaps the most compelling Pick 'em lineup we've had thus far.

i can't speak for everywhere, but the privates have gone whole hog since joining DV II, and that wasn't previously the case. Not even comparable. You think it's an accident that Knox Catholic Basketball has so many big-time recruits? i mean a couple of them moved in from Africa even. That couldn't happen when they were playing D1.

yeah. We tried that, and that whole recruiting thing got in the way...

And Catholic has a lot on the fine next week as well.

Maryville/West falls into this category as well. Regional Champoinship for 2/6a and 2/5a are both possibly on the line the next week.

fair assessment

I didn't see the game in person. But I recall 5star tweeting a clear bad snap recovered by West that was blown dead before it was recovered. If it happened the way it looked in the tweet, it was right up there with the Ole Miss fiasco. That's all I was refering to. Also, I was responding the to a poster who made it sound like OR didn't struggle at all. That was really the point.

Pullling off the win over Cleveland at home and now hosting AC. I think they'll be on an emotional high and have a little more self belief than they should.

Winner Winner! Only one to get it right.

Objectively it's Powell: 4Star Adarius redmond- #2 player in TN Class of 2022- 247 3 Star Ayden Greene- #6 player in TN Class of 2022- 247

Not a big fan of that. They already made a really soft choice scheduling HVA as a non-district game. Even if it's the "Smart thing" to do, it really unsporting. In the time of COVID, I'd like to see a required full schedule be the first tie-breaker over even the head to head match up.

I feel like they would have announced it today if it was happening.
