  1. Exactly...if the defense recovers those 8 fumbles, no matter how the ball ended up on the ground, then yes, they had a hand in them. They turnover may have been gift-wrapped, but if the defense doesn't recover, then it's not a turnover. I noticed you aren't mentioning the INT anymore, I guess I convinced you that you were wrong about that one. Hey, GoChiefs, does any of this sound familiar?
  2. I can't stream from work. Will you let us know if he says anything worthwhile?
  3. Then you should have said that rather than sticking up for a buddy who was more wrong than you. Simply put, to say that a defense didn't have a hand in any turnover is nothing short of ludicrous and laughable. It wouldn't be a turnover if the defense didn't do something to gain possession of the football.
  4. Maybe you should be at practice this week, because it sounds like you've got it all figured out. Wow...that sounds really simple. How come the previous 10 teams that played Arlington didn't figure that out???? Haha! Don't you wish you guys would have had that kind of information in Week 8?
  5. One of them? Oh, so Arlington put that LB in that area of the field on that particular play and he caught the ball, but because it was thrown right to him, it had nothing to do with Arlington. And on the bad snap/handoff, I'm guessing the fact that the Arlington defense got enough penetration to jump on the loose ball had nothing to do with it, even though any number of Millington players were much closer to it. It's one thing to be an idiot, and another thing to prove it.
  6. When you hear it from threepak5, you'd think Northeast is undefeated.
  7. I am so tired of hearing this from certain Millington fans. I really hope you are referring to things other than turnovers, because if you don't think Arlington had anything to do with those turnovers, you suck at watching football.
  8. MJ Pride, that is true. I was just wondering if maybe he saw them play Hendersonville or Wilson Central.
  9. Maybe you should be at practice this week, because it sounds like you've got it all figured out.
  10. No one stopped those backs that year.
  11. You may be right Stan. I wasn't trying to take away anything from the 1A schools. I can't remember anything from the previous state championship games. I can barely remember who won. I get up bright and early every year and drive to Middle Tennessee just in time for the first game on Friday.
  12. I love how fans that don't know the first thing about their opponent are the ones who talk the most crap. I guess that's what being a fan is about though.
  13. Yep. They did their walk-through at Arlington that day. That doesn't make any sense. A coach trusts his QB as a sophomore, but not as a senior... I was shocked to see the double wing/triple option nonsense, I was expecting to see a wide-open spread offense, especially with a 3rd year starter at QB.
  14. You missed my cryptic message - The Wooddale thread had the comment about Millington torching the Tiger defense. Just thought I would tie it all together Haha! I see what you were doing now.
  15. How large was the gate for the Friday afternoon 1A game? And how fair is it to parents who work a 9-5 job and can't get that Friday off to travel to Cookeville to see their senior player or band member in his or her last game? How about now that the game is earlier on Friday and you work in say Wartrace and don't get off work until 4:30 ??? with 4 Classes you get one night game on Friday night and 3 games on Saturday. And perhaps a somewhat larger gate for each game because some of the folks who didn't get in may come anyway? Maybe charge more per game for TV rights to make up the difference in gates? I couldn't tell you numbers, but I'm pretty sure the 1A game usually has the lowest attendance. It could be because of the size of the schools or the time of kickoff, or both. I see what you are getting at and it does make sense. This is totally off subject, but do you know the schedule for all of the games played in Cookeville this year?
  16. I've been to the last 12 Clinic/Blue Cross Bowls. If it dropped to four, I'd be disappointed, but I'd still be there.
  17. It sounds like this should be a good one. We're keeping our eye on this one. If we get past Indy, we will be ready for the challenge.
  18. Good stuff.....keep the bulletin board material coming. The games are not won on a bulletin board! It is playoff time and if all you have to get the Chiefs up is some bulletin board posts then you are in trouble! GO CATS True, but every kid is different. What motivates one might not motivate another.
  19. I guess Gallatin. I really didn't put that much thought into it. Who was the other? And you don't know where I'm going with this. Nice try, smarty pants!
  20. For #'s 2, 4, and 6, you'll probably need a new coaching staff. Think you can find one before kickoff?
  21. Having been in a 9 team district the two previous years, I don't think it's a good idea. It doesn't leave any flexibility for scheduling. There are only a handful of teams in the state that have trouble convincing 10 people to play them. That said, I'd rather have 9 or 10 team districts than have to deal with the Z Plan again!
  22. Haha. for real. I don't know what it is about Memphis area teams, but they really feed off bulletin board material. We've already got plenty from Indy.
