The ride back from Smyrna has the looks of being a long one for the Centennial boys.

I was pulling for Columbia to pull this one out. Unfortunately the cards just didn't quite fall into place for them. This game reminded me a lot of last years Franklin vs. Brentwood playoff game, which Franklin lost when they didn't complete their two point try in overtime. Both teams played hard last night.

It wasn't pretty, but still a win.

After watching Indy play against Siegel, and then hearing about their game last week. They are going to have to get a lot of stuff together if they want to beat many people this year. Brentwood 42 Indy 3

I think you don't quite understand not throwing away things to other teams.

I've got the vibe that it is going to be a lot like last years game, very close. B.G.A should be looking pretty good passing wise, with the Smith brothers. (If they are both still in the receiver spots.) No clue how their backfield is looking this year not really having a running back returning. But if their line holds up, and they can throw the ball like they should be able to, then it really might not be a problem for them. I really don't know much about B.G.A.'s defense this year, but with Coach Webb managing that side of the ball, then you can only expect good things. I'm hoping some others can fill in what I left out and fix mistakes. Franklin should also be solid on the offensive side of the ball. Kuivinen will return as QB, and after a year of starting and another of getting a fair amount of playing time, he should have matured enough to be a strong player this season. The line should be solid and have some decent size, with leadership coming from Senior Logan Tucker. I'm really looking forward to what they bring at the receiver position with Young returning, and a new transfer. Look for a solid backfield led by Dye, who had a good season in 2009 despite Ford and Lee getting most of the handoffs. Defense is looking good with a fair amount of speeds in the backs. You know Coach Webb couldn't have left them in bad shape. Should be a great game that I can't wait to see! My prediction: B.G.A. 7 Franklin 10

No intelligent Franklin fan is just going to post up who will be playing and who won't.

There are two Franklin games that I'm looking forward to seeing, just because of the hype that will build up the week before each. Franklin at BGA- Aug. 21 Brentwood at Franklin- Oct. 29 Should be a decent hype for the Indy vs. Franklin game as there is every year. But it's all going to depend on what kind of season both teams put together.

Who do they have playing QB this year?

And all those guys that were "being looked at" by Notre Dame.

I also think Brentwood and Franklin will finish 1 and 2, but I think it will be close as to which one comes out on top.

I will have to give the comeback team of the year award to Columbia. Although they did drop a division and weren't playing the same Wilco opponents, they were able to have a very solid year.

Tate can absolutely sling it! But sadly, not much more than that it never seemed. I'm really interested in seeing how is younger brother does next year.

Eubanks was able to compete in one of the toughest districts in the state. He must know a little something.

While watching the game, I was thinking the exact same thing. It's a shame the choices that Sparkman made once he got to UNC.

That 7 points was next very reflective of how Franklin was unable to stop the run last night.

Expect for the stands to be packed Friday night. I know we will be getting there early for sure!
