  1. So, can you support your 5A argument with numbers?
  2. Yes, it is not an approved Coach T website. Just google "rebels" and "nation". Or if you are pretty clever, you just might figure out the website name. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  3. Good Point. However, they were in the same region as Maryville that year. But for the sake of fair and balanced reporting, here is Maryville's record against Morristown West since 2001. They were the last team to beat Maryville. 2001 Morristown West 24-31 L 2002 Morristown West 49-7 W 2003 Morristown West 14-6 W 2003 Morristown West 14-17 L Playoffs(Last Maryville Loss) 2004 Morristown West 38-0 W 2005 Morristown West 28-0 W Playoffs 2006 Morristown West 44-19 W Playoffs But the game this week will not be determined by past records. GQ does a very good gob of keeping the kids focused on the game at hand. GQ is also pretty good at keeping the kids on a even keel. When Cleavleland scored on there first Offensive play nobody freaked out. They just kept doing the same things they do every game and practice. I hope for a clean injury free game by to teams that play hard. I predict that Maryville will pull away in the second half. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. Since when do you love to talk football? You mainly post things just to annoy Maryville fans.
  5. Sorry that you can't make it tonight. The game will be on WBCR AM 1490 which I believe also has a free internet feed. I look forward to a hard fought game. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  6. Hey man. Just leave this one alone. If you keep digging you are going to find out that Lamar Alexander and Roy Kramer were both Maryville grads. You just don't know how far this rabbit hole goes. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  7. That is the sound of one hand clapping. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  8. He speaks for me. Maryville is not invincible. However, they do have a history of being prepared to play each Friday night. I hope that habit continues. Guess what, you changed the subject again(to Cat stamps). I guess it's hard to stay focused when you are a Secret Agent Astronaut Millionaire Cowboy. By the way, congratulations to both teams on their national rankings. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  9. I just caught the end of the Freshman game, but Powell looked pretty good. Congratulations on a win over a much heralded Maryville Freshman class. Hope is not dead in Powell. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> I don't think that this Maryville Freshman class has been overated. However, sometimes it takes a little adversity to reach your full potential. The Maryville coaching staff will use this to build on.
  10. No, your're a towel. I think Maryville wins a hard fought game. Kier Houston is good, but Powell has had Tyler Watts,Baron Huber, and Lee Smith and couldn't quite get there. Expect a physical game. Maryville should have the depth to pull away in the second half. Also, Powell has a very sturdy stadium. With that, I am going to bed.
  11. Maybe you should go back and read. You just changed the subject again. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> When you list all your personal accomplishments in a post you are not supporting any point except that you are awesome. Actually, is a very poor way to support that point.
  12. Glad you don't resort to name calling. You might have called him a redneck or a homosexual. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  13. I see this was where it started. Someone asked you to move to Blount county. Then you made an innocent remark about our stadium. And for some reason all these Maryville people jumped you. Well, I apologize for all of us. Please don't move to Blount county. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  14. I think RebelScum accused you of changing the subject when somebody had a point or proved you wrong. And if I am not mistaken, you changed the subject to how great you are and then eluded to the fact that he might be a redneck. Until you knock the rust off of your debating skills, you might want to omit the part about the debate team trophy. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  15. We had to take it down so the people on Ceder street would give us all the balls we kicked into their yard. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Besides, it was killing the grass.
  16. It might be a little off topic, but I am a long time friend of the parents of Tom Hansen who was a former place kicker for Powell. Tommy was invited to walk on at Purdue, but even though he did pretty well it didn't work out. He is now UT Martin's place kicker and has set records for consecutive PATs and kicking points scored in a game. Below is the link to UT Martin's info. http://www.utmsports.com/fullstory.cfm?id=...;sport=Football Cade Thompson and Steven Shiver from Maryville are also both playing for UT Martin and doing well. Both Powell and Maryville are represented pretty well out there. As far as Fridays game, the Red and Black will win, but it is never been easy to beat Powell. They always bring their A game against Maryville. I don't think they have ever lost to Maryville because they didn't have enough heart. I think the most impressive thing about the streak is that it usually involves two wins over Powell and/or Central each year./thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  17. As soon as we build a pizza joint that serves slices on coaster sized paper plates and beer in viking goblets we will build a stadium next to it. I am not sure if we will go to the expense of burying radioactive waste under it. Sorry that I sound like a hater, but I get all riled up when people disrespect the skeeterdome. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  18. Apparently city taxes pay enough for about 3 more points on the ACT according to the state report cards on schools.
  19. I think the key point here is that an honor student dumped Heritage for Maryville. I'll bet the year of homeschooling had more to do with a desire to produce a valedictorian at Maryville than a star football player.
  20. My bad. Just a 20 year reunion. They usually schedule them together.
  21. LOL. I am sure that would be at least a passing thought. However, I try to give people credit for their accomplishments, and Clinton beating Maryville at their homecoming would be up there as far as accomplishments go. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  22. I'll bet Big Daddy says lots of things. Clinton has been beaten by an average of 36 points per game since they have been on Maryville's regular schedule in 1999. The scoreboard has spoken. If Clinton wins on Friday, I will be the first to give them their due respect. Also, weather you know it or not, GQ respects the strengths of every team they play. If you show up with the team that he has prepared for, you won't get beat by 20 points.
