Great win last night.I went home and warmed up some of my chicken tenders purchased from the warrior baseball team.Man they are good.I did notice a lot of new faces on the kickoff and punt team this week.The changes worked, and I hope they stay with the personnel they use now.Oh, and before I forget, welcome back DQ.Good to see you back to your old form.

I used to think it did, but here lately I'm not so sure.I think if you give Coach Shad two weeks to prepare, he usually comes out on the winning side of it.I think you will see about every play out of the playbook Friday night at the inferno.If I was Oakland I would pass the ball more this game.

Sorry, must have missed it. Obviously, long snappers are a special breed. Riverdale's LS has a very good delivery and is probably big enough to be a LS in college. I think he can. I believe former Riverdale LS Carson Tinker is the leading candidate to take over the LS duties at BAMA next fall. Aren't they about the same size? He is shorter than Tinker, and learned a lot from him.Tinker had great speed on his delivery.Thanks for your comments.

TDCMAN, I read your post about Riverdale's snapper's this season, but you never replied to my question.Do you feel like our long snapper can play at the next level?I am just asking, because of his speed and accuracy from 15 yards out.

2P, I believe a parent told me last week that they(freshman team), have lost only one game so far this season.

Anytime you play at Smyrna it's tough.I see this as a game where if the warriors take Smyrna lightly, they will lose it.If they keep focused this week, and I don't see why they wouldn't, they will be fine.I have heard that every week of practice has been more intense than the previous week.I thought a little distraction from homecoming week might get them into trouble this week, but I was wrong.The coaches are to be applauded for keeping the team's focus straight ahead and on the next opponent.GO NOODLE ARM.

As I predicted, #10 with a big game will be a win for Ensworth. Should have kept hime off the field in the 4th qtr too! Sounds like Smyrna let up after going up by 2 TD's. Can't do that against the #70th best HS in the US. Why did darkwa sit out the entire third quarter?Did he get hurt?He had 300 yards on 31 carries.What would he have done had he played the whole game?

I was going to go on here, and rub it in, but I won't because you admitted you were wrong.I talked to one of your coaches after the game that was up in the booth, and he and I both agreed that we hope both of us make it to the championship game later on this year, because a rematch game would really be awesome.I thought your team was supported very well by the crowd you guys brought.I know the ride was long, and I am sure the rain kept more at home.I just hope everyone will now realize we have a good quarterback, and our offensive line is the best in the state.

Wow, I did not know Byron's picture was in the program at Oakland.2p, he was not on the sidelines, but he was however talking to Oakland coaches before the game and after the game, and that tells me that the head coach doesn't seem to care if he hangs around players and coaches.I know if I was a fan or had kids there, I would not like it at all.Anyway, good game, and good luck at Blackman.

I feel like the boys(warriors) know this game is a big one.It's also homecoming week.The team doesn't have any major injuries that I am aware of at this time.I know Farragut has good speed at the wideout position, but I don't feel like they can stop the wing-t simply because nobody runs it as good as Riverdale is running it right now.

2priceless I appreciate those comments about your announcer.I think you have been very honest on here.Speaking as a parent of a visiting football team, yes it does bother us.I think it fires up the players even more than you realize.I would be really interested in hearing that explanation of why you guys still do this.One thing that still bothers me is how can Byron D. is still somehow associated with your team and players.How can coach mac have this guy linked to his program.I will tell you but you probably already know this, but you have a good player in #20.I was impressed with his play.

Yes riverdaleman, the talent is definitely still there at Riverdale.I want to say I think this group of young men are on a mission this year.This win I feel validates them as a great team, not just a good team.This guys actually get along great, believe in one another, trust one another.I personally have enjoyed watching a lot of these boys grow up over the years, and become men.GO WARRIORS>

Listen, I was told by a parent in early July about Gooch coming to Oakland.I told that person then, that I would bet my house that wasn't going to happen.I firmly believe that the heat was on him(waterboy Devinner), and he had to deflect attention away from Oakland.Why else is this garbage just now coming out?

I look forward to this game every year. With both teams coming in 1-1 and this being the first region game, expect it to be another nail-biter with lots of penalties and lots of licks. Seegull is being awful quiet this year. I miss the days with their obnoxious fans on the T. It just isn't as much fun without those guys on here shotting off their mouths and not backing it up. Yeah I was looking forward to seegull as well this year.I will say Oakland wins this one 14-6.
