  1. Don't be mad! Good luck to your team going forward. Sorry you had to show your ignorance and lack of maturity. with your reply.
  2. Over and over and over with you calling bad spots!! Give credit, Portland wanted it more in 2nd half.
  3. It kills me to hear someone pull out the enrollment card in this!! What do you think we have been tasked with playing schools twice as big as us in our own district (SC, Mt. Juliet, Hendersonville, etc.). Quit trying to get your excuses in play before they step on the playing field. I am looking forward to a good game. No injuries would be a major plus in this game for both teams!! Hope the boys from both sides are drinking plenty of fluids today!! Good luck, Panthers!!
  4. Make no mistake, the single wing has ran it's course!! The reason for the zero points is that Portland has NO passing game!! You have got to have balance!! No QB whatsoever and about 5 - 6 scatbacks that may throw on occasion. Both teams Portland has faced figured this out and stacked the defense on the line of scrimmage and dared them to throw. There is your reason for "0" points this year. The defense and special teams are getting killed due to POOR tackling, period!! It is going to be a long and dissapointing season if the coaches continue being stubborn about the running the single wing with only running backs in the backfield and find a passing QB that will keep the defenses honest and off the line of scrimmage. That is on the coaches. Defense and special teams is on the kids with the poor tackling. Take pride of the school, the community that comes to watch you and yourselves and show more effort on game nights. Good Luck against the Wildcats!!
  5. It will be nice to see what this "explosive" offense can do against the likes of Riverdale or better yet, Maryville. It doesn't matter what you do getting to the dance, it's what you do while at the dance. That is what truly matters. Hopefully this year is different and they can go far in the playoffs.
  6. I agree with you Big "EG". The wide receiver #22 just put on a good show after a legal hit trying to draw a penalty. It worked, but backfired. He must be the little brother to the placekicker they had a few years back. I will be watching the Academy Awards for his nomination. Should be a classic with the Waves and the Bears next week!!!
  7. Full strength, with the exception of the starting quarterback (17) due to an injury. The back-up QB has looked solid in his abscence. Gallatin dismantled Lebanon 41-0, allowing them ~20 yards of total offense for the night. Excited to see this game!!
  8. Didn't you and 56dad/56whomever cry enough when you were babies???
  9. Awesome clip!! Mathers is the real deal. I drove up from Mt. Juliet to see the scimmage. It's great somebody was taping the scrimmage. Do you have the HIT of the scrimmage when #36 of Gallatin hit #21 of Blackman?? That guy is a beast on the field. A good back-and-forth game.
  10. Wow!!! I know it is supposed to be cold that night, but I didn't hear of H_ll having a cold front. You better wake up or Freddy (movie reference) is going to get you.
  11. I have seen the "Big Games" (Gallatin-Beech, Hendersonville-Beech, Gallatin-Mt. Juliet and Beech-Mt. Juliet) and there is no way you can make an assessment of who's better by watching one of those games. Your quote about Beech, "They are, however, most CERTAINLY a better team than Gallatin." is quite rediciulous!! They beat Beech on their own mud bowl. My take from the game is that it could have been worse!! Gallatin did the unthinkable, they SHUTOUT and explosive Beech offense. What a district!! 4 teams that are playoff bound.
  12. Gallatin 28 Hendersonville 10 Can we have a decent Friday to watch football?? No rain!!
  13. Are you kiddin' me?????? What happened to the EASY win?? You can now grab a bite to eat before the games, since you can show up at 6:55. Your strong showing ran off the best coach for the program going into a TOUGH district.
