The 2009 game was a disaster! That was some of the worst officiating that I have ever seen.

Rockwood jumped up 20-0, and relaxed. A hangover was not an issue.

Tellico should have beat Midway by 3 touchdowns. Greenback will give us trouble though.

When things got tough, a couple of Rockwood players were bad mouthing each other. It wasn't extreme, but there didn't seem tobe a big amount of team unity. Tellico has that!

Rockwood looked tired and deflated in the second half. Could not connect through the passing game, while Tellico did. Tellico also dominated the line of scrimmage from the second half, on. Devin had a great game, and the Cheeks boy was pretty food.

Leaving your starters in the 2nd Quarter is not running up the score. You have to let them play AT LEAST one half.

Calling the Tellico coach a cancer is a little extreme. I have an idea on who you are talking about. That guy had no business being in his position, but he was no cancer.

Teams in the past would have lost to Andrews and Midway. This is a very well coached team.(Although, I didn't like the play calling before the last fumble). And with all due respect to Sale Creek, but they may be the worst team to ever come to Tellico. But hopefully, our guys will have enough respect for the opponent to play their best. Football is the hardest sport to build upon, and I have respect for the school for letting their Juniors and Seniors play, and having a Varsity team. One day, those guys will win their first game, and it will be something awesome for them. Look for that to happen in year 3.

They are pretty bad, there is no doubt about that. I never will forget the Meigs/Tellico game in 1994. Wow, that was a fun week.

Won a lot of games, and did a pretty good job there. Yes, he did have a lot of talent, and probably should have had better post season success. Still, he worked pretty hard at his job, and he did not attract a lot of negative attention. (and he won a lot of games) Stability means a lot. (look at Sequoyah and Sweetwater). Now, this job should attract a lot of good candidates. Lets hope the best person is hired, and politics does not play a role in it. If a local person is best qualified for the job, then he or she needs to take the job. It will be interesting to see who gets this. Again, thank you Coach Tucker for giving a lot to your Alma Mater. The whole Tucker clan has been good for Tellico!

By reading this thread, I am starting to realize that this loss could not have happened to a better group of fans.

Great coach! Of course he has a lot of talent, but the kids respond well to him, and the students love him. Coaching is in his blood, and it is good to see that his parents support him.

Of course, that is more than Tellico has, and I wish we had the one championship. But why don't they have multiple championships like other power houses over the last 15 years? (Livingston, Jackson County, etc,,)? Honestly, I thought the teams from 97 - 00 were probably some of Central's best teams. That was when they started their dynasty. This is not to knock anyone, but it is something that a lot of people notice.

Memphis is a dirty town when it comes to their leaders. It has always been the case.

And it is loud there, too.

Guys, save your sympathy to those folks who deserve it. This is only a game.

Look, Central is known for having the calls go their way in the district play. So, a Central fan complaining is similar to Duke fans complaining about the officials Bad calls happen, and it is a shame to see it end like that. However, that is life.

Stupid people - The opposing team takes off for a 70 yard run, and gets knocked out at the 15 yard line. You can then hear these fans clap and cheer(usually their son), because they believe that something good has happened. (This happens a lot at Tellico). And, it is usually women, of course. I was also at a Maryville- Tennessee High game once for a playoff game. Maryville was up 35 - 0 before halftime. The Tennessee High fans were pumped up. Those folks brought 7 busloads, painted their faces, and actually thought they had a chance to win. One dumb woman even blamed it on the coaches. I basically told her that she was stupid, and said that your team is boys playing against men. Terrible bands - I am not going to mention names, but some high school bands are embarrassing. If you can't hit the right notes during the National Anthem, then you should not be playing. Sometimes, a school would be better off by having the Mayberry Band playing. This is a ball game, not a funeral! - I am sorry, but I am going to stand up on huge plays. GET OVER IT! And quit complaining about the students. They can make for an awesome atmosphere! Yeah, they are punks here and there, most most are pretty good.

Never been to Bradly High School. Is it not off highway 11? I am thinking about going to the game. I have to think it will be crowded. I wish someone could leave me a ticket so I won't have to stand in line. I won't be able to make it until just before kickoff.
