  1. News talk 101.5 reported the score as a final at 38-6 .. my bad..
  2. unc4life... Liberty is the best team in the state regardless of classification... hands down. They will not be as good next year mainly because they lose their whole starting 5 and a couple more players.
  3. WUXP - MyTV30 (Nashville) WBXX - East Tennessee's CW (Knoxville) WFLI - The CW Chattanooga (Chattanooga) Comcast Cable (Memphis) Jackson Energy Authority (Jackson) per tssaa.org

  6. Holy Cross - 39 Liberty Tech - 45 End of 3rd

  8. Holy Cross - 19 Liberty Tech - 13 End of 1st I'm 99.9% sure that the championship game will not be broadcast on CSS. At least it's not on my tv guide.
  9. I have to think Liberty is the favorite.
  10. That's what I was wondering. Last time I checked Liberty wasn't ranked..... I bet they will be after this tournament
  11. Congrats Liberty! Way to represent Jackson, West Tennessee, and Tennessee well! Now go whip up on those California boys.
  12. Here's an article and box score of the game if anyone's interested: Liberty 69, Monsignor Pace 49
  13. I might be able to give updates. Right now, it's halftime of the game before Liberty plays. Mater Dei is beating Jeannette 48-16.
  14. I emailed the guy that runs the tournament today and he said that they probably weren't going to do the live video and audio. I don't know why but I guess we'll just have to wait till after the games to find out who won.
  15. Mater Dei blew out Golden Gate 89-48. That was the only game yesterday. Liberty plays tomorrow against Miami Monsignor Pace.
  16. I just checked the City of Palms Classic website and they supposed to be doing live audio and video streams for every game. They didn't have either for the Mater Dei game tonight. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if they'll have it by Monday.
  17. Mater Dei will be extremely tough to beat. I have to think they are the clear favorite as of right now. I'm pretty sure Brentwood Academy wasn't the favorite to win last year though so I'm hoping Liberty can give everyone a good show.

  19. This is the list of teams at the City of Palms Classic website: • Brooklyn Lincoln H.S. (N.Y.) • Decatur Eisenhower H.S. (Ill.) • Fort Myers H.S. (Fl.) • Jacksonville Arlington Country Day H.S. (Fl.) • Jeannette H.S. (Pa.) • Miami Monsignor Pace H.S. (Fl.) • Naples Golden Gate H.S. (Fl.) • Ely Blance H.S. (Fl.) • New Orleans Helen Cox H.S. (La.) • Phoenix St. Mary's H.S. (Ariz.) • Aston American Christian H.S. (Pa.) • Pittsburgh Schenley H.S. (Pa.) • Charlotte H.S. (Fl.) • Santa Ana Mater Dei H.S. (Ca.) • Lake Howell H.S. (Fl.) • Jackson Liberty Tech H.S. (Tenn.) 3 of those teams are ranked in USA Today's National Super 25 Rankings (Mater Dei - #7, Arlington Country Day - #9, Pittsburgh Schenley - #24). Mater Dei is also #1 in the West, Arlington Country Day is #2 in the South, and Schenley is #9 in the East according to USA Today's Regional Rankings. It's generally known as the best high school holiday basketball tournament. Hopefully Liberty will represent Tennessee well just like Brentwood Academy did (Brentwood Academy won it last year). If it's like it was last year then you'll be able to watch the games over the internet on their website. Not sure if they're doing that again this year though. Hopefully they are. More info on the tournament can be found on their website: City of Palms Classic Official Website
  20. When I played a couple of years ago, we were playing an away game when my teammate grabbed the ball after an opponents basket and attempted to throw it inbounds. Well, he absolutely chunked this ball and unfortunately missed his target and hit a lady in the head in the 3rd row. She fainted and had to be taken to the hospital. Needless to say, he received many threats from the opposing fans after that one.
  21. Good to see Tennessee teams gettin some love from USA Today. If I'm not mistaken, Pearl High School in Nashville was the national champion at some point in the 50's or 60's.
