  1. Reitzfan That's nice but if memory serves me at least one of the squib kicks miss handled was mis handled by a player who also played WR in the game? How is that not having the right player in the right spot to handle that kick on a coach?
  2. That is funny no private here, just wish I had that much coin. We were discussing the UC/TCA game and IMO opinion the USJ game is relevant to how UC will game plan against TCA since USJ experienced great success muscling the ball on the ground against TCA which is UC's thing... You are right coaches have bad nights as do players...
  3. I also attended the game. Have a slightly different take on some of it..... speedster didn't get the ball much because earlier opportunities were contained going no where.... the trench war was clearly won IMO by University school on both side of the ball, TCA passing game has a lot of in met potential and could establish later in the season. My take on that game.
  4. Way to adultly contribute to the discussion of West Tn. football
  5. Ahhh BigEd, see I was unaware of the excuses you mentioned... Coaches should always be blamed for losses, opposing defenses never have anything to do with turnovers... short fields are never a good thing! Not much wisdom there sir, just more excuses. Don't bash, provide an actual viewpoint that can be discussed or feel free to discuss mine.
  6. Reitzfan, just predicting the game the way I see the matchup play out and IMO UC has the personnel to successfully play out the game using a similar game plan as the University school. Sorry that ruffles ya feathers. No offense intended towards TCA just a quick, simple break down of the matchup as I see it , as most do on this forum. I would be interested to hear how you see this matchup playing out if you care to share your thoughts?
  7. UC will take note from the success University school had against TCA and exploit their weakness stopping the running game, which is also one of UC's strength. Same goes goes for stopping the threat of TCA' s speed. University school contained the proclaimed speed threat from TCA and proved it was easily doable.
  8. Agree that the future of R7 will become very clear to all after this week. Peabody will solidify it position position as the leader of R7 after defeating handily in-county rival GC. Im predicting the Tide rolls BIG in this one from the onset and never look back. Peabody wins by 30. UC will find out first hand Friday night the weakness of TCA's schedule prior to this contest. Historically the same schedule wouldn't be as weak but with McKenzie and Adamsville both way down that is simply not the case this year. Wins against JCS, A'ville and McKenzie simply don't mean in the first half of this year what they have meant in the past. Unless the TCA staff can pull a rabbit out of their hat I predict Trinity scores no more than 10 in this contest and UC man handles a win on the ground by 13.
  9. What I think your missing from what Reitzfan said about the Adamsville win has nothing to do with one player missing. This years A'ville team isn't close to par with Normal Adamsville teams.
  10. This game won't even be interesting unless the fans on either side take the less than classy approach to winning or losing at what is most likely going to be one of the worst In- County beatings we've seen around these parts in awhile. Peabody is is having a season that is a perfect example of what occasionally happens in HS football when excellent player talent and a very competent coaching staff collide during the same time span.
  11. I'm going to go out on a pretty sturdy limb here Waverly 48-6
  12. Bigs, I think this Friday is going to happen in a big way! Having those guys back is going to be YUGE! Unless TCA rolls in and pulls something new out of their pocket, The matchups favor the Tornadoes.
  13. Pretty good summation of what is going to happen the rest of the season if teams stay healthy. Huntington will roll, Cornersville has no idea what is trampling towards them. Southsides odds of going unbeaten is around 70% IMO. Dyersburg is like a JUCO program playing A HS schedule. Peabody has the talent of a 4A program playing a 2A schedule and will not be scored on, TCA's speedster is fast but Doesn't have the combined strength to roll against stronger teams, did nothing against USJ. Union City has had a very rough start but I have a feeling they will show out in the next few games. Milan should roll the second half of the season. West Tn should be well represented come November!
  14. Managed the time to drive over and watch this game, TCA overcame a sputtering first half to handily out score the Rebels in the second half but McKenzie did have TCA on the ropes driving late in the 4th qtr. And with a late and long pick 6 TCA took the lead permanently. Very close hard fought game IMO by both teams. From what I saw TCA does have room to improve in overall game performance. Lots of potential from their playmakers on offense if they can piece it together over 4 qtr's also having some kids on D that made some big time hits. McKenzie appeared young and in a rebuilding cycle.
  15. Gibson Co. keeps the momentum from the Adamsville win and rolls by 2 Td's in this one.
  16. Yeah that was my take watching the film of the A'ville and USJ games.
  17. McKenzie at 0-3 heading to 2-2 TCA this Friday. Seems like this could very well turn into a dogfight. McKenzie is winless but coming off some tough losses to some solid teams so they should be very hungry for a W being trouble for TCA setting at .500 Thoughts?
  18. Meigs wins in a huge way here and continues their march into the title game against Peabody.
  19. Going to be difficult to recruit football players and build a program without a legit home stadium. When that happens, it will happen but will be awhile.
  20. Laughing...... Dresden wins big regardless of who is playing or not.
  21. GC will accomplish the unthinkable in a close one.
