We have 3 transfers. All are seniors. One lineman that didn’t play last season. One RB that was injured the first game and missed the rest of the year and one other player that is playing varsity for the first time. There is no one sitting out until the playoffs.

Take it easy on the Pirates.

It's too bad he couldn't stick around in Whitwell. I would have liked to seen him stay there. Good luck to him at Waverly.

Coach will do a great job at East Hamilton. I can't help you with that one about Madison Academy Booger. You will have to ask that OC yourself. lol

East Hamilton is going to be in VERY good hands. You won’t find a better teacher, mentor, and coach than the coach you just said was only a “seasoned better than average coach.” East Hamilton is set to make a splash hire. I can assure you that they have chosen the right man for this job. ANY program around would be fortunate to have him. Go Canes!

Well.... it's happening. Like I said last week when I said on here that Dilfer would be named the coach.. He isn't coming across the country to play with what he's got there. He will be on the recruiting trail and all of those kids and coaches aren't going to be Church of Christ.

The name alone will attract athletes to their program. Also have you ever heard of the Elite 11 camp for QBs? That's a really big deal as well. Anytime someone hires a Super Bowl winning QB it's a big deal. Again, I'm not a Lipscomb fan, but I realize a big hire when I see it.

You are correct about one committing to Lipscomb University for volleyball.

They are committing 1 million per year to their athletics department for financial aid. It sounds like to me they just got serious about football again.

We all know what happened. Derrick Davis will be GREATLY missed at Polk County. I don't blame the guy one bit for not wanting soccer to use the game field that HE works on, lines off, and maintains. Mr. Culpepper (AKA Charlie Murphy) got on here bashing Derrick. Most of us that know Derrick through football don't pay attention to it. He needs to go to the soccer boards. Like I said, we all know EXACTLY what happened and those at the core of the problem.

I don't have many posts here, but this one is warranted. Your posts are classless. Derrick did more for that football program than has ever been accomplished there. He was on his on a lot working on that field, getting it ready for games, lining it, etc. Derrick Davis accomplished more with less than anyone I know. Polk County WILL miss Derrick Davis. Soccer on the game field that he maintains, mows, lines, and takes care of??? A lot of time goes into maintaining these fields. I don't blame him for wanting soccer to stay off of the field. I wouldn't want them on the field I had to maintain either. When someone takes care of the field it is perfectly normal to want to monitor who and what uses it. Your name calling at him is ridiculous and pathetic. You use to get on here and talk about how great of a coach he was back when Polk was really good several years ago. If people don't like the way things are going then they can choose to leave which is what he has chosen to do. You haven't ever said any of this crap to his face. You need to back off and leave the man alone! DD is a good friend and is one of the best defensive football minds around the area. He will be greatly missed leading your program. I GUARANTEE it. PS- Bashing him on these boards... That's something a "petty little man" or a "sorry man" would do in my book. It sounds like to me Heath Culpepper and Derrick Davis need to talk out their differences like men instead of you on here bashing him with personal attacks.

SP tried to keep playing Boyd. They refused to play. I’m sure they will want to play once SP graduates a bunch and Boyd gets their good Ms group to HS. Sorry, that’s not how this works. SP played Boyd even in the years when Boyd was a lot better than us because it’s a rivalry game. This series is done for the foreseeable future. Guaranteed!

SP tried to schedule. Boyd elected to not play us anymore. Multiple dates were presented but the administration didn't want to continue to play us regardless of the dates. The Boyd and SP series is officially over and I doubt the teams will ever play again.

Coach Fant turned down the Boyd offer so are they doing to let Drew Akins return or give it to Boskins from Knox Halls? He interviewed over the weekend for the job.

Hey Booger what side do you think Coach Fant will set on tonight for the Notre Dame and Boyd basketball game? That would surely tell us if he accepted the offer or not to return to Boyd. Boyd will get a good coach either way. I hope they get back to what they were in the past.
