The culture is slowly changing. I am very impressed with Coach Hammontree. The freshman class is very impressive this year also. I look for a bright future on "The Mountain"! None of those freshmen need garbage service either FYI.....lol

I heard Ensworth is VERY impressive. As for Heritage we are much improved from last year. Numbers are up but we are still a ways away from being a contender in the district. I feel 3 or 4 wins this year is possible.

Personally I think Coach Ham is doing a heck of a job. The numbers are low right now but that freshman class coming in is a good looking group. Why beat their brains in as freshmen and discourage them? That would be stupid! Sit back and have some patience. In 3 yrs Heritage will make the playoffs. As far as the coaches goes......I'd rather have 6 coaches on the same page than 12 going seperate ways. This group is laying a foundation for the future and that starts with discipline and hard work. Both of those are present on this team they are just unfortunately outmanned. Go Mountaineers!

And Maryville's starting QB this year lives in WB district.....what's your point? I was just stating a fact and giving an example! qb#7 said an overwhelming amount of Alcoa's athletes were within 3 miles and I named one that wasn't. Tuition is gonna happen.....I don't like it but I have learned to live with it! LOL

26% of Alcoa students are tuition students. 1 out of 4 kids at Alcoa do not live in Alcoa city limits. If I am correct Robinson that is at UK now lived in WB district and was a tuition student. I'd venture to say that a large majority of that 26% plays football. It's been happening for years and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.

Coaches West and Hendricks are still there. Chuck Prugh and Coach Hammontree's brother have been added. Not sure about any others!

I have heard rumors that Troy Fleming is coming to the Mountain. Anyone else heard this?

I like the direction, intensity and organization. He needs more numbers and size. In a couple years he will have a nice program. Go Mountaineers!

I just looked at the Anderson County Fireworks on youtube. WOW! It is better than Booms Day! They put some serious bucks into that. I'd like to just go to the fireworks at the beginning and leave afterwards!

Ok, this is for that high and mighty alcoa education. You used the words:athletes, they, their and players. These words are plural. Plural means more than one. You named one player that came from alcoa to Heritage. Therefore, you should have used the words:athlete(notice I dropped the "s"), he (not they or their), and player(notice once again I dropped the "s"). You named only one! You want to talk about QB"s? Your starting QB live closer to Heritage than I do. SAD
