  1. Yep, that's us. We played as a B because we were a 1st year 14u team and we had not been to a series and didn't know what we were up against. We should have played A ball I guess, we just didn't know how good we were. Also won the ISA State and SEAA State, and a 16/18U tournament. You mentioned the four 14U teams to beat, we've played one of the four several times and beat them several times. ASA Nationals is a goal for us this year, so some Chattanooga and Middle Tennessee teams will get to see the purple and siliver in 2010. Where do we need to come get an education? We are looking for some fresh meat . No offense to the Silver Eagles, but the difference between B and Nationals is that in Nationals, you play the New York Yankees everygame. I can appreciate you're desire to play better competition, but I suggest "You look before you leap!" You're going to find that even the best B player can't serve water at the highest levels of ASA. But good luck anyway! And Chattanooga is where the education is being taught and you need to be playing there every week, not just once a summer.
  2. As most of you have witnessesed, there are several 8th graders out there that could start on any-sized school team. I'm not familiar with the rules that govern when and where an 8th grader can play up. I have mixed feelings on the 4 year limit. When you have a dominant 8th grader, I can't see keeping her down and suppressing her growth and developement. I also understand the maturity factor and putting her in an enviroment that may cause her to regress. In the end, I would probably let her play up.
  3. The most talented player should play, period. The competition from younger players should only serve as motivation for the older players. Competition makes everyone better and should provide a warning to the less talented that reads: " Get your crap together or get crapped on!"
  4. I heard a rumor, and let me clarify (only a rumor) that she might end up back in Chattanooga. Possibly at Chattanooga State.
  5. Honestly? I don't even think Alcoa is "out of their (York's) league". It's HS football, anything can happen. Plus a huge upset? Like I said, HS football. York was 3 plays away from 10-0, home playoff spot, and a #1 ranking. I don't think this will be a huge upset WHEN York whens. . Speed right? York has at least 1 player I have never seen caught and they have corners, LBs, and even Lineman that can run 4.6-5's. And, granted that 44 and 2 has speed, what does it matter when they are getting hit at the line or behind it? They aren't power runners by any stretch of the imagination. 8.3 ppg allowed this year... I'll take my chances with York. I see York with this one by at least 14. They won't be stopped if they play like they did last week. It's gonna be a rough game... and I can't wait. Good luck to both teams. Drive safe Amish Nation Alcoa not out of York's league? You guys need to come off the mountain every now and again! They would WAX both York or SC by 48. I'm all for supporting the local team, but COME ON!
  6. I will jump in and say All-State Sequatchie County senior Chelsey Burgess. She is a great defensive catcher with a great arm. Offensively, she has power and speed and if you need the clutch hit, Burgess is the one you want up to bat. She is so athletic, she can play any position on the field. I'm sure they're others out there, lets hear about them!
  7. Ya'll won't get another chance at Polk this year. Surely you aren't too drunk on your blue kool-aid to think ya'll can beat Alcoa. As a matter of fact, Central won't have a chance at Polk for what appears to be a long, long time. I must be swimming in blue kool-aid because i truly think the chargers can beat Alcoa and make it to the third round. Really it will be tough for either team to make it to third round. Its not Kool-Aid, Charger is hitting the crack pipe too hard, ain't nobody beating Alcoa. Lay off the pipe til Friday!
  8. I hate to hear that your stadium and facilities were vandalized. Don't let it become a distraction for the boys this week and beat the crap out of these overconfident Loudon folks! There's at least one from down the valley pulling for Bledsoe.
  9. York will be an extremely tough opponent. Sequatchie will have to control the line of scrimmage and hold on to the ball. From speaking to several folks up on the "plateau", York and Sequatchie will be one of them most evenly-matched games in the playoffs. Good luck to both teams but I'll take the home field advantage (-3) and say the Indians 24-21.
  10. Directions! Can you even get to Goodpasture from Jamestown?
  11. "Shy about hitting?" I bet you feel differently after the game.
  12. To the HOMERS of both sides, enjoy this friday night, win or lose.... Prepare hard for the 1st round of the playoffs and then start the long vacation that is Winter..... We are both proud and above-average teams, but we couldn't combine McMinn and Sequatchie and play on the same field as Alcoa!
  13. I'd like to call Vegas and put a G down that Polk can't keep South Pitt to under 7. I know Polk has a good team, but let's not get too crazy now. S.Pitt 21 Polk 17
  14. It will be interesting to see how the Indians respond after a tough loss to a good Bledsoe team. I hope the loss doesn't linger into this week, if so it will be a long drive home up Hwy 28! Good luck Indians!
  15. I dont know seven....Open has never lost a game Im picking the Bye by a field goal!
  16. Regardless of who both teams have played, it will mean absolutely nothing come Friday night. This will be a hard-fought game on both sides as usual. Bledsoe obviously has a talented team. No matter if their opponents weren't highly ranked, they took care of their business. Thats what you're supposed to do. In the end, I think Sequatchie's quarterback and place kicker will be the difference. Seq Co. 34 Bledsoe 24. Good luck to both teams.
  17. I hope the five starters that Marion gets back can defend the pass better than the kids they had out there friday night, because if Marion had trouble defending our passing attack, good luck with Signals. I will be pulling for Marion, but I don't believe they can go toe to toe with Signal on offense. Signal 35-21
  18. No dog in the fight, but have seen both teams play. South Pitt by 21.
  19. Chief, Where do you see the badmouthing? Sequatchie was just wishing! I wish he was faster too! along with wishing he was 6'3, 220 lbs. Nothing derogatory about wishing. But what do I know? I'm an idiot!
  20. Three quick points: 1. It wasn't you that changed the intensity 2. The TSSAA could care less and 3. Please locate the space bar on your computer and use it.
  21. Like the song goes: " You don't pull on Superman's cape! " Pittsburg by 30. and I don't have a dog in the fight.
  22. I think Signal by a touchdown, but next week I will take the pirates and -21.
