Rockwood had plenty of chances to beat Boyd tonight. If i'm not mistaken they had two drives where they stalled in the red zone. For a second year the Tigers gave them all they wanted but came up short, either way a win is a win. With that being said, Oneida is quite a bit better football team than Rockwood. Take that into consideration and them being at home and from seeing Boyd tonight, I say Oneida by at least 10 if not more!

Give credit where credit is due, #15 and #1 are studs for Boyd! I went down expecting alot more tonight from Boyd but was not as impressed as I had expected.. Good run game, not much passing so can't judge... Defense is average at best, in a completely non biased stand point for any team for Boyd to even make it out of next round that D has to step it up.. If Oneida doesn't step up and torch that D, I guarantee Grace will! I've saw Grace play multiple times and I think GCA is soundly better than Boyd, but we shall see!

For the past Harriman has been more athletic than teams they have faced up until this year and about half of last year. If you want to go down integrity road go look at John Webb and Rockwood, he's doing the same thing... Except he's winning games and at least being competitive with the likes of his rivals. For him it doesn't matter if they're young or what! They always come out swinging and playing tough! There are plenty of things that could be done better at Harriman! I will agree with you that I respect him making men and them having integrity more than anything BUT you like to see your team win and most folks unfortunatelly value winning more than anything and I have to tell you, it's only going to get worse the longer he stays!

You must not watch them much... Can you explain their mediocrity in 2005-2010... This is not just something that's happened. He's an outstanding guy, but whether you'd like to admit it or not he's just not getting it done at Harriman. Also, that predictable offense just keeps getting worse and worse for them every year! It's sad to not even be competitive with county teams.

Guess we'll all just see then, that's why they strap it up! Enjoy your time playing the publics, it won't be like that much longer!

As would anybody, a win is a win. The boards are pretty much the same this year as last.. It was played out to be that Rockwood was beat before they stepped on the field.. Look for Rockwood to come out motivated about last year's game and give Boyd all they want!

That's what was said last when year when Rockwood went down there and dominated! The kickoff return was Boyd's saving grace!

This will be the only win for the Highlanders coming into the playoffs, good luck to Midway!

It does no good to whine now, it's playoff time and you play who you get. Judging by last year's game he should not have any complaining to do, the Tigers had Boyd the whole game but let it slip late!

But here's to hoping that next year we can be at least competitive and hold a .500 record!

Are you positive? It was said at the game tonight that if you all won, then Rockwood would more likely travel to Oneida or Hampton?

You would like to think, out of respect for the program that he would humble himself. If he would just look in the mirror and realize this program is going nowhere under his lead and realize it's time to hang it up! The days of getting blown out by every rival is getting old and flat out pathetic, some fans are ignorant enough to be satisified. Most with even the slightest of sense about football aren't satisfied and they shouldn't be!

How will the BIG BLUE do on the hardwood this year under first year coach Wes Jones? I imagine with Xavier Howard returning they'll have quite amount of offense with some size to go along with him. Let me hear what you think?

That is true, but when dropping to 1A and the talent he had from say 2006-2010 those 5 years, those shown.. only one quarter final appearance and still lost to Kingston every year and only beat Rockwood once.. There has been an abundance of athletes in the mid 2000s

Yes, watching athletes with so much potential transfer to a rival school sickens me.. The main thing i'm tired of is getting blown out and being everybody's beating bag! I mean c'mon at least make it competitive, that's what's pathetic!

It can be frustrating I know, trust me i've been there watching with you. If Tapp consistently calls the plays like he did last night then i don't have a problem. Unfortunately it's probably not going to happen though.

I can agree with you on most of this, it's been rough watching for the past while. Coach throwing his hat off is not a big deal, i've known plenty of coaches to do that same thing and have alot worse mouth on them. Tapp is a great great guy, i'm just not to sure there is anything he can do to help this program anymore. That being said, he isn't going to be fired. It rarely happens in high school ball. the only way i see him leaving is when he tries to get an upper level education job. So we'll just have to stick it out. P.S. Mr. Callahan has said he wants the best facilities and athletic programs around, so you never know what he might try to do. My vote is Tapp will continue to be there for a little bit

bluedevil3563, I can agree outcoached but they way they played against Grace tonight it was impressive! It's growing pains but c'mon have a little more pride for the Big Blue... There aren't many of us devil fans on here!

Rockwood is probably the best 2a team in the state with a .500 or just below 500 record with 2-3... I think they end up 6-4 with the only loss coming from the 1A powerhouse Greenback. Rockwood takes this one by 2TD's or so.
