Again(Keeping in mind..That all the coaches and all the players both this year and last believe that Goins should be the qb) WHAT oh WHAT should he do???WHY oh WHY does your opinion mean more than the teams??Top to bottom they ranked first GOINS ,second Bo,THIRD BIBLE...these are just the facts.Perhaps the coaching staff has an opening....you could apply ..and if they hire you(never) you can be the one and only "voice of reason".You may even get the HC job and then you can put Goins where he belongs.lmao..BUt in fairness...if a great/tall/supurbly talented player moves in ...I'm sure Goins can find somewhere else on the team that he can play. Now what of the OTHER 21 positions on the Team...WE did lose a LB..DL..CB..and the center...those seams like some big shoes to fill too.

jchs1 .Your facination with with the quarterback is telling.On one hand you say he is a great athlete then you tell us should not be the QB because he is too good to play there.I.m alittle confused.Is combine numbers are great...but wait there not that great because it wasn't a QB specific combine.Help us understand .Should Goins even play this game?If yes,,,then where would you put him?..If you remember correctly Goins TOOK the job based on his JV performances! He was not the even in the top ten of athletes when he did that.As I recall there were 8 senoirs that went on to college campuses THAT following spring and probabley another 3 that could have.So what should Goins have done after that in your opinion?should he have not gotten sooo strong and fast/quick.Should he have refused the QB job last year and this coming one?Should he insist on getting sacked or do we allow him to move around ? You also should know that Goins is a REAL football player and has been for a long time.He understands that the coaches will play him where he can help the most.He also understands that this QB position is a polorizing position in this and most schools.He understands the emotions that many fans express are not based on Hate but rather a overwhelming sense of competitiveness and the desireto win a State championship.This is your motivation ..right? well put linemanpat and ohsgrad. I, (having assisted coached (AC)on a lower level of football), can tell you that there is never any arguement amongst the coaches about where anyone should or should not play on the field.The coaches are there everyday and see for themselves who belongs where.the live and breathe football and are constantly trying to figure new angles that can help the team win.While I held that (AC) position,my opinions were listened to and respectfully considered.I did ,on a few occaissions, make a suggestion or 2 about where this or that player might be better suited to help the team.Being a coach on this lil team ,the (HC) would give the assistants' suggestions alot of weight and we would end up trying this or that player at different positions--this nearly always never worked and we would put it back where we had it.Thankfully ,I never Head coached---man the stuff they had to listen to,,.....They took all the HEAT..but we were all(coaches) in agreement.That's why I don't coach from the stands or from the blogs.If I ever felt very strong about something I would either make it a "gentle/well meaning/respectful/non-hurtful suggestion on here,or perhaps I would find a coach and privately discuss it with them.Just saying...Cowbells caused a few false starts on the other team !I'm almost sure of it!! GO PATIOTS !!!.P.S. Coach Anderson times 40's on the track in spikes,Nike times them on artificial turf in football cleats.Hope that helps explain the time differences..knowledge is power.

Wow, what an uninformed comment coming from the 4life supporter of a team that went undefeated in the regular season only to make a bad mental game decision, I mean “gut” decision at the end of the playoff ball game by NOT throwing the ball into the endzone and lose to the wildcard team at home in the first round. Stopped at the 1. :’( Hate it for the kids who worked so hard last year. (That I truly mean, they deserved a better end to their season.) Maybe you should have kicked the extra point and played it out in OT??????? But that is on the mental side of the game. I guess we all can not be as “smart” or make those “gut” decisions on the mental side of the game as well as the ScBears. So you may wish to be careful before throwing those stones in that glass house you live in. They are ALL 15 to 18 year old high school kids after all, so lay off the “mental” slaps. Great post! and very factual,I've seen for myself the progression of a multi-sport athlete from pee-wee's thru middle school and on to high school.In the younger programs(up thru say freshman teams) the "gifted" athlete has all the advantages.He is genetically faster/stronger/faster/quicker and has better balance and cooridination and is usually more agressive in using his advantages to secure starting posions in most sports.This dominate player is clearly one of the better players anywhere he plays and in many cases is the "go to guy" that the coaches rely on most. Once on the varsity level it becomes another story.In the male athlete puberty starts to take a larger role.all things being equal(by that I mean they all grow about the same) The work ethic now begins to take a MUCH larger role.A decent athlete(thru hard work) can elevate himself above a Historically gifted one.1st DIET- what they eat.when they eat it and how much.2nd I gotta go with weight training!no nonsence/ focussed/intence/Daily weight training!If not daily then 4-5 times a week(every week regardless of sport) with a focus on weaknesses and goals.While a proper "athletic diet " can make a "in shape body" ,It's the weight room that will build the muscle.It's this muscle that the athlete will use for confidence and to scare/dominate most other rivals.I myself have been lifting for 5 years and once it becomes a habit it can be very rewarding.Although I have some knowledge in this area I am NO expert.A doctor approval first/ekg's are very important.There are other dangers as well,,,Overtraining/injury/exposure to steriods.But I strongly believe that a well supervised weight training program can bring nearly any athlete up to another level . For further research try BODYBUILDING.COM(I'm not affiliated)The have taken a no nonsense approach to the sport.They have eliminated questionable products from their site.They promote a drug-free approach,and there are alot of workout programs and diet education.

On Saturday March 13th at the Nike football Combine in Charlotte NC, Charles"Anthony"Goins a junior QB/DB at Jefferson County High School scored a 113.25 SPARQ rating.He came in third at the combine and his score place him 10th in the nation after 8 combines. GREAT JOB Anthony!!

While both posters made and could continue to expound on the Facts regarding that "former" Head Coach,I for one would like to leave that painful time buried in the past. Linemanpat can uyou tell us about any current 40 times or other accomplishments made in the weight room?I saw a big freshman lineman today at the Center ripping out some 225lb bench reps!Oh and I think we are the second largest school in the state,if anyone is counting.

I believe we would benefit from scrimmaging a strong and a weaker "out of conferance team".Is it then a fact that we won't be scrimmaging anyone this spring?That being said it ...It was my take on "linemans" thoughts that he believed that he could accept either direction the team went.I also can assure anyone reading these posts that, if i'm not mistaken ,The lineman is one the smartest players and students in the school.Also i'm told that junoirs Goins and Stooksberry and soph Winstead all maxed out on bench at 315LBS !!!! HUGE numbers guys !!! Keep up the good work!!! GO PATRIOTS !!!

I have 30 sentences posted over the last 2 posts and this is the one you want to talk about?

Those of us close to the team KNOW the source of the ugliness.Those of you reading our posts that don't know what I'm talking about ,just ask one/any of the players or coaches why Goins is being attacked and by whom.Look:agenda folks ....It,s over !! your done!! Get over it and move on with your life..PLEASE try to act like men! and not like little "BLOG " whinners..KIffen changed his phone number !!! whata drag ...LOLOL GO PATRIOTS ! ! !

First Fact...Football starts with the line,,this also the second and third fact..ITS THE line that opens holes and protects the QB.Another fact is a coach has to play with what we got..We cannot invent or wish or hope that the linemen suddenly become 6ft 5in 290lbs monsters..Now- don't get me wrong(i do like our guys) it's just that we are/were undersized at these positions.In fairness the QB isnt 6ft5in 220lb and neither are the receivers.The running backs arnt 5ft11in 215lb monsters with a 4.3 40 yard dash. and on and on..Do you get the POINT yet?In car racing hey used to call it "RUN what you brung".There are about 1250 D1 scholarships avail to incoming freshman.It is extreemly rare to have one from any regular high school, as there are millions of kids playing high school football.WE the PATRIOTS (over the course of several decades)have had several make it that far and we need to recognize what a huge accomplishment that is.It also must be stated that in order to fairly criticize the QB's ability to "READ" One must know what the CALL was.WAs a" read "called? or was a "GIVE" called?Do you know which was called? the coaches and the QB know what was called and they know if it was called properly or executed properly. I'm really dissapointed about the ugliness spoken about Anthony Goins. But as the QB he is gonna have to learn to take unfair/unkind words.But His STATS speak for themselves.Was Goins a ALL AMERICAN? Was he ALL STATE last year? No he wasn't.!But then again was he ALL CONFERENCE ? YES he was and all of the coaches/players and IMAC know it and agrees with it.I would have thought that after the end of the season that this specific "group" would have NO further reason to continue this childish agenda.But sadly this is not to be.Anthony Goins keep your head up and keep up the good work!GO PATRIOTS!!! dvp4life

For the record...I don't know any of the coaches personally.I don't know their wive's names or the number or names of their children.I don't know where they live and I have never shared a meal with them.I did join the sideline club but didn't attend any of the functions(thats a story for another time).I do know nearly all of the Junoirs and many of the Seniors and Sophmores.I also have second hand knowledge of the 3 discipline problems that have been brought up.I can tell you that I don't agree with all of the decisions that were made regarding these matters.I also don't agree with every coaching decision made on the field.But then again I wasn't hired or consulted to give my opinions.I consider these matters "INTERNAL ISSUES" that are better off addressed by the Administration and the Coaching staff and the TEAM.As far as being a blind follower of this coach....I am not!I would have followed Meadows/Brimer/Hutchins/Jett/Kisabeth/Riley or most any other coach.To me it's of the utmost importance to support the Man in charge.I also believe it's counterintuitive to TEAM SPIRIT and UNITY to speak badly of the coach.In fairness i have heard people say "I don't like the coach"..,My response is usually something like....."Is he abusive?"..."Is he innapropriate?"...."Is he doing anything illegal or unethical?"..THE answer is always NO..,,,I do believe the posts that say this or that player is unhappy or feels they were not treated fairly,I would be SHOCKED if every player on any team thought their coach was great.It's a given that anyone who is in charge of that many players is not going to be universally loved.OK...Let's see we have aprox 75 players/150 parents/50 brothers/50 uncles/50 grandfathers/30 years of alumni/and an unknown amount of other folks"from here" that remember the GLORY YEAR! Man...is it even possible to make all those people happy?Is it even fair to ask the coach to try?Or should he focus on the team?Unfortunetly the coaching staff has had to put up with multiple D1 parents.They have had to put up with people screaming and cursing and threatening them.I have seen this horrible behavoir myself.I have heard it from the families of STARTERS and BACKUPS and those that were lucky enough for the coaches to "FIND a place for them to play".And of course my favorite,,the ones that think Kiffin is going to call any day!!(LOL)...So for me it is not about "love for a coach".,,,but it's about being a positive influence on those around me and by those young men that read these posts.To me that is what it means to be a fan.PEACE...Sorry about the "DO IT" (Ijust switched to decaf lol).......GO PATRIOTS ! ! ! dvp4life.......COWBELLS Caused a few false starts on the other team(i'm almost sure of it)
