nobody cares who likes/dislikes the chant. also nobody cares about "too hype" either. advice though.. really gets our guys going when you have the nerve to stomp on the "E" at mid-field as AE did while our boys do the chant. another thing, we have the best defense in the state so dont be too quick to talk about "pounding the rock". and yes i know alcoa has a very good defense too. if they didnt they wouldnt still be here. if elizabethton slows down the running game of Toney, look out. my prediction is coming middle of the week.

keep talking "tornado74". nobody seems to figure out that when the opposing team wants to get on here and claim how mighty they are, the only thing they are doing is adding fuel to the fire. ask AE how far the trash talking got them. even i expected a close game. but the boys from betsy came out pissed off and were way past ready to silence AE. AE was a huge win and a confidence booster for this week (finally beating a knoxville team). elizabethton is clicking on all cylinders and it couldnt have happended at a better time. look out alcoa, dont overlook this small town team. ill make my prediction later in the week.

Betsy got robbed of a long TD run by Thomas with a "block in the back call" that nobody was even near the flag, & Thomas was already celebrating in the end-zone. Boles was out with the flu, Smith was out with the ankle injury, & Palmer was out with some kind of shoulder injury. What can we expect though guys? North Carolina "refs" & their coaches 100th win? There was no way those home cooked refs were going to allow our kids to travel over the mountain & take that away from them.

It went well. Thomas didnt play well at QB. Berry, Thomas' backup who will be a sophmore, came in and played exceptional. Birchfield and DeMoss led the recieving core. The defense struggled at first, but got better as the game went on. South is a heck of a 5A team and Elizabethton stacked up well. This should be a special year for Betsy. Has anyone else heard anything about our recievers?

It looks as if Matt Smith as a sophmore will be the biggest. hes about 6 '4 or 5' id say around the 250 pound mark. then you've got the Whitlock boy coming back from knee surgery, Kelly, Febuary coming back from shoulder surgery, & Whitehead moving to center this year

Yes, Betsy does have all the weapons & the playmakers are gonna be key. Betsy is gonna come out firing on all cylinders. Fast, hard nosed football. The line was so so last yr, i wouldnt say horrible, but should be in good shape this yr. The return of all the skill kids is what im looking forward to.

Betsy loves playin the roll of the underdog. The boys are working out everyday. Running, Lifting Weights, whatever they feel they gotta do to come out and contend. The line is supposedly the weak point. Yes, loosing 6'5 320pd Dexter Price on the OL, Shaun Carter on the DL, & Zach Coggins on both sides of the ball is going to hurt. The line will improve though. I really think Betsy has enough raw tallent with playmakers like Forbes at RB, Thomas at QB, & especially Hodge at WR to get the job done. The toughest tests for Betsy in the regular season will bc Greenville & CAK out of Knoxville.

From what I've heard Elizabethton is a real contender this year. Only lost 8 players from last years playoff team. After the drop of class I hear all kinds of hype about a possible State Championship run.
