  1. ND stands a good chance of winning against GPS. I'd say around 40% chance of winning, 35% chance of drawing, and 25% chance of losing. (I'm testing Booger's math skills.)
  2. I'm impressed with McMinn County. They are the class of AAA, and the best AAA team, in SE Tennessee right now. East Hamilton will get better as the year progresses learning the new coach's system, so it should be a can't miss game between the two come playoff time.
  3. I'm bound by code not to discuss situations of judgement and opinion. I will say I cannot remember Coach ever getting a caution. I'm sure he has at some point. Not to quibble, but he got the card after the HV goal. All that being left unsaid, the Irish kept their cool in the 97 degree heat and played the game as it was - staving off attacks and going for the counter. They almost pulled it off, too.
  4. They won by two do they not teach math at dental school?
  5. 3-1 McMinn Very one-sided game. Baylor only had 12 dressed. What's going on at this mighty program?
  6. I will be out at the Mayfield Dairy this afternoon selling steroids and hormones to make our milk taste better and last longer. I may swing by for a few minutes on my way home to see McMinn Co with my own eyeballs. Does Baylor stand a chance against this behemoth?
  7. Things might get ugly for CCS this year. I watched Briarcrest beat GPS 3-1 last week, and GPS has some holes in their defense that a decent team can exploit.
  8. ND 3 (goals by Bernarding, Brown, and Koenig) Baylor 2 JV
  9. I didn't see any raving lunatics on the parents' side so I must have missed the Livingston games.
  10. A couple more games and a correction... Saturday 23rd GPS vs Briarcrest 9 AM Cookeville vs Baylor 5 PM GPS vs CPA 5 PM
  11. Smith County went 3-0-1 during the Soddy-Daisy play day. They beat McMinn Central, Hixson, and the Chattanooga home school team, and tied Soddy-Daisy. Smith Co will give the magnet schools a run for their money this season.
  12. As long as we have good ginger-headed referees, we should be fine.
  13. Not that it matters, but your source is wrong. For your sake, it better be wrong, otherwise the level of incompetence by not having a coach in place for 5 month is staggering.
  14. After a year off because of unfortunate birthing plans, I will be back in full force as I will have a freshman joining the Irish this year.
  15. I complained at the end of October to the TSSAA officials. But the fields were fine, then. My complaint is that the complex is unsuitable for a high school championships. $$$$$$s are the reason it is there.
  16. Champ, she wasn't fired. I talked to GPS parents of rising 8th graders yesterday. Though conditioning starts soon, there is still no coach in place.
  17. North Red Bank might as well be open zone. But I say more power to them. They aren't breaking any rules....... I almost typed that without busting out laughing.
  18. This is what the TSSAA handbook says: B. On the ejection of the student-athlete, the school will be required to submit a report on the action of the player and any disciplinary action taken by the school. The minimum penalty will be as follows: 1. Football – 1 Game Suspension 2. Soccer – 2 Game Suspension except for the following offenses which shall result in a 1 Game Suspension: a. A player anywhere on the field (other than a goalkeeper within his/her own penalty area) who deliberately handles a ball to prevent it from going into the goal. b. A foul by a player against an opponent who is moving toward his/her offensive goal with an obvious opportunity to score. There is no distinction for an ejection because of 2 cautions.
  19. You and Champ should start a psychic palm reading service. Signal won 3-2.
  20. Does anyone actually like the site as a place to crown the state champions, even if the pitch was as green as White Hart Lane? I have personally spoken to TSSAA officials about it, trying to understand the reasoning. These are obviously high school games and should be treated as such. This isn't the Division 1 State Cup.
  21. Greenville CAK CSAS @ Boyd This game is actually @ CSAS and they have procured Finley Stadium as the venue. Game is at 6 PM and is the only playoff game going in SE Tennessee today, so come on out. I think I will go as well since its just down the hill from my office. I predict OT with one team winning in PKs. North Red Bank White House Heritage Page Crockett Co Madison Acad.
  22. And I stand by my comment. A blind nut got his squirrel.
  23. I mean CSAS beat Hixson. I blame my public education.
