It sure is funny that no one has mentioned Bill Duncan from Greeneville. Someone earlier stated that they had the best defense in high school basketball. He always seems to get the best out of his athletes, especially since Greeneville is a 2A school playing a 3A schedule.

Greeneville, after a 14-14 tie at the half, runs off 20 unanswered points to defeat Morristown West 34-14. Big win for the greene devils to keep them undefeated in the conference. The only team in their way is the mighty Hurricanes of Morristown East. Enjoy this big win guys and come home to Burley Stadium and claim the District Championship by defeating East. P.S. Most people aren't bashing Memphis for being Memphis. The fact is that it costs an extremely large amount of money for a team that is successful. I am affiliated with a school that decides to play at a higher classification than its enrollment and money is a big reason for that. If you have a team that wins the right to participate in the State Tournament, they should not be punished due to the cost. Heaven forbid that the TSSAA help tems out with their expences. 18% from the gross of the Regional baseball & 1/3 of the gross from the sectional??? Give me a break!!! Who are we doing this for anyway?

I thought Greeneville did a pretty good job slowing down the "scoring" machine that has had over 60 homeruns this year. If the throw from the third baseman on the 2-out, bases loaded, squeeze in the fourth is not wide of home, they are out of the inning only trailing 4-1 instead of 6-1. The Greene Devils hopefully showed that they can play with the big boys, especially since Farragut has more try out for baseball than Greeneville has in their whole senior class. Great year Greeneville and yes, good luck to Farragut in the state tournament.

The game was finall called due to wet grounds. They will play Tuesday evening at 6:00, with the loser playing East @ 5:00 on Wednesday and the winner squaring off with Jefferson at 7:30 Wednesday.

The conference winner (Jefferson County) is not automatically in the regionals. They still must finish in the top 2 of the district tournament. Good luck to all of the 4 remaining teams.

Does anyone think that this year's IMAC tournament is up for grabs? Even Cocke County with 1 conference win, which came against West, can beat anyone.
