These two set very high and great standards and the plate last year.......What are your predictions on them this year?

Where are these three superstars going after the high school life. I have heard about a couple offers Rouse and Gaskin have gotten. What about Hodge. Your posts would be appreciated.

I HEARD THAT MARYVILLES ALEX ROUSE, TYLER GASTON, AND CHRIS MCCORD ARE GETTING BIG OFFERS FROM SOME SCHOOLS. IM NOT EXCACTLLY SURE WHICH SCHOOLS, BUT EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT THEM, AND IS THE MAIN KEYS TO STOPPING MARYVILLES OFFENSE

ARRINGTON IS 6 FOOT AND FAT. HE IS WHAT WE LIKE TO CALL A "TACKLE AFTER" PLAYER HE TACKLES THE PERSON AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN STOPPED. last night while maryville was playing west ryan headrick sustained a head injury. they first thought it was a concusion, but then found out today that its a brain anurism, which is very serious. he has been rushed to a hospital in Asheville. So they can perform emergency surgery, and drain all the blood out of his head. Please have him in your thoughts and prayers.

*UMM MARYVILLE IS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE BOTH CADE THOMPSON AND ALEX ROUSE. ROUSE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE STARTER LAST YEAR BEFORE HE TORE HIS ACL AND CADE TOOK OVER THE SPOT AND DID A GREAT JOB. MARYVILLE MAY HAVE TWO OF THE BEST QUARTERBACKS IN THE STATE. THEY ARE BOTH VERY ACCURATE I THINK LAST GAME BOTH OF THEM WERE LIKE 8 FOR 8 BOTH OF THEM. THEY BOTH ALSO HAVE VERY STRONG ARMS. ROUSE SPENDS HALF THE TIME OUT AT WIDE OUT BECAUSE OF HIS ATHLETIC ABILITY, BUT MARYVILLE IS VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE BOTH OF THEM.

Obviously FB you havent been around Maryville for to long.....Because since Rouse is playing Wide out we havent really got to see him run around in the pocket or scramble at all. He hasnt really got the chance to do it. But we dont really need either qbs to be running around like that when the line is blocking like that. And what did cole patrick do last night, nothing. He ran around a whole bunch you got that right and look what it got him at the end of the half. Alex Rouse stuck him. That was probably the biggest hit of the year. It took patrick a while to get up after that one. I would rather have Cade or Alex anyday rather than cole patrick.

well the trio did it again they just got done beating the crap out of william blount. Again the trio stepped up. McCord scored 3 times, rouse had 4 catches and 5 rushes for about 70 yards and was 4-6 passing which should have been 6-6 but two perfect balls were dropped. Gaskin did his usual making the hard things look easy. Dang just cant stop them. And please no more ignorant comments on this post because most of them are. have a nice day.

This is probably hands down the best trio of players that the state has. These three big play makers can do it just about anywhere. Rouse plays quarterback wide reciever, and defensive back. Tyler Gaskin plays wide out and db also, and is very leathal on the outside. McCord is a total back. he can catch and run up the middle and when he has to blast is out side. There is a rumor going that these three on there back plates have "if you can read this then your screwed." Interesting. To hott to stop i say can you prove me wrong

First off it kills me to sit here and listen to all this about the option.....There has been a total of 2 turnovers in the past five games where the back has not caught the ball.....The option is perfect for maryville, even though it hasnt worked very well because everyone knows when rouse gets in there that, that is probably what there going to run. But after Rouse's perfomance against heritage in showing everyone that he can throw, i think it will open it up a lot more. Also no one is goin to go up to GQ and tell him anything about anything. Its just stupid saying that. GQ knows more about the game and how to coach it then anyone. He will do what he thinks is best for the team.

Halls red devils are garbage especially without spencer turner which quit football for baseball which was a bad decision.......lol they need more talent and a better coach in shepard.

hello, i have heard many stories and didnt know which one was true or what was going on. Well i ran into Alex Rouse and Logan Flowers and talked to them yesterday and asked them about the wreck. Alex said that they were coming back from west town mall and a car swerved in front of Dee Arrington and Dee lost control of the car. Alex said he had never been that scared in his life and said he stopped the car in the median and ran over and got dee and dees cousin out of the car while he said logan was standing looking at the car. Alex said" by the way it looked i thought everyone was dead. Alex talked to some one else and he said that he saw alex run over and get everyone out of the car, and asked him( logan if he was ok) then when alex couldnt find Chris Winkle he looked around then we saw Chris about 40 feet away from the car in a ditch face down in deep water. Logan said Alex ran over into the ditch stablized winkels neck and positioned chris on the bank before drowning and called 911. I didnt get to talk to Alex after this so good job Alex on keeping your head and saving a friend. Also after going to the hospital, logan flowers might have a broken bone in his shoulder and Chris winkle has a fractured schul and a broken vertabre, but is doing good. Prays should stilil be with these guys

I dont agree on two quarterbacks playing, it wont be a good thing because it will be hard for either quarterback to get in a good rythm. I also agree with the missing south guy i think that, cade did have great surrounding cast of players and that they were the leaders. Cade was the one that went along but did very well when they needed him too. From what i hear though Rouse is the Athlete on the team and is the play maker. I have heard and seen a little bit of what Rouse can do at Qb and its all good. i would think you would want the ball in better athlete or better player for that matter, the one that can make the plays, but this is just my opinion maybe Rouse should be a wreciever he could probably help them where ever but i would want the better player at the head spot. But both of these players are good kids and work hard, and will help the team wherever it they play

i heard that the alex rouse kid from maryville high school is supposed to be one of the best quarterbacks in the state....He tore his acl a week before the season during a fall scrimage. People say that he is the next big thing.....austen everson is good but if the rumors about alex are true then i would not be happy if a i ahve to play maryville next year. His father was one of the best athletes to ever come out of knoxville, and played quarterback at clemson, so maybe there is something there. I hope to see him back next year so i can see what everyone is talking about.

Who are the upcoming quarterbacks that is goin to be a difference makers.... it doesnt matter what grade either.....lets here about them. Also i would like to know if any of these are DIVISION 1 PLAYERS.

IF YOU LOOK AT THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS THE ONLY TEAM THAT HAS BEATEN MARYVILLE FROM KNOXVILLE IS HALLS. THAT WAS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SUSPENSION OF 10 STARTERS. ALSO WHO HAS WON THE STATE CHAMPOINSHIP 5 TIMES OUT OF THE PAST 4 YEARS IS MARYVILLE. THE ONLY TEAM THAT GIVES MARYVILLE A GOOD NAME IS CENTRAL....AND CENTRAL CANT BEAT MARYVILLE EITHER. SOMEONE IN ANOTHER THREAD SAID THAT MARYVILLE WOULD GO 3-7 NEXT YEAR OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. HAHA MARYVILLE WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER SEASON LIKE THAT WITH COACH QUARLES AS HEAD COACH. THE KNOXVILLE PROGRAMS HAVE NOTHING AND CANT COMPARE TO MARYVILLE ATHLETICALLY OR ACADEMICALLY. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A KNOX COUNTY TEAM WENT TO THE STATE CHAMPOINSHIP WAS CENTRAL AND THEY GOT BLASTED..... SO WHO RUNS THIS SIDE OF THE STATE.

i dont know about you, but alex rouse has improved on his rehab and got released last week. He was remarkably gotten almost all of his speed back and his arm is as strong as ever. watch out for him this coming season. In my eyes and of manys others that know the game alex rouse is one of the best athletes in the state, and will get his shot and show everyone how good he is......
