  1. As usual, you accuse without any thought....Where exactly did I negatively refer to your beloved leader today?
  2. Brownie lied on his resume and has been exposed as nothing more than a lawyer that was a room mate with a Bush campaign director from 2000.
  3. I understand your misunderstanding. I really take issue with steels assertations that the coach can't be responsible for the irresponsible.
  4. What you see on Friday nights is the result of coaching....or lack of it.
  5. link from factcheck.orghttp://factcheck.org/article.aspx?docID=344
  6. Your right about the people that ignored the evac order, having a hard time with sympathy for them. I've got a Discover magazine from 6 months ago with the levee plan and wetlands restoration plan in it, and it mentions that Bush is scheduled to kill the funding.
  7. Read it in the newspaper, Not pointing the finger at Bush (you may have noticed that if you hadn't jumped onto the bash anybody bandwagon). My concern is that we'll continue to practice poor policy that destroys the environment and puts people at risk. Politicians and businesses and everday joes all share the blame in the pursuit of what I want now and not what the greater good needs. You better watch those stumps, Katrina floods are liable to wash them out from under you. Let me also add that I almost feel sorry for Bush, 9-11, messy Iraqi situation that will end with a Islamic nation, and now the Hurricane....The President of disasters.
  8. Noted in the Tennessean that a month or two ago, Bush slashed corp funding in New Orleans to strengthen the levee and he also wiped out the wetlands protection laws that Clinton had put in......I'lll note that these things inplace would not have changed the result this time....but do we learn from this and restore the Mississippii to its natural course and protect wetlands or do we rebuild another ticking time bomb.
  9. I'm with you. Lets build a replacement above sea level to be a state of the art city of the future. Mass transit for the primary locomotion....Leave plenty of room for a future hydrogen energy structure...Limit the use of automobiles...Build communities that people are comfortable occupying without vehicles.
  10. Along the same lines....Read the chapters 1 and 2 of Gensis...2 creation stories with a different order? or is chapter 2 a reverse and more detailed chronology...Same thing with the flood story....2 different stories in the bible intermixed with contradictions.
  11. I topped off at 2.64 this morning and passed stations all the way up to 2.99 for regular.
  12. The pipeline from Houston and New Orleans to Nashville and the southeast will be back to half capacity by the end of the week, full capacity in a few weeks.
  13. through elementary school
  14. One "expert" is saying $4 a gallon.....maybe back down to $2.50 by next year.
  15. Not to change the subject, but how many of those teams in your list are Private? and how many of the top nine are?
  16. I was wrong ealier...30% of ALL US oil comes into New Orleans...Platforms and ports are shut down until further notice. Tennessean reported this morning that Every $1 rise in crude is a 2 cent rise at the pump...Katrina is expected to push the price past $70 a barrel. Strategic reserve anyone? This could cripple our economy and shock the world economy with high inflation and disrupted global trade.
  17. 1/3 of US domestic oil goes through No'lins.....Read an article some time ago that predicted a doubling of gas to $6 with a 200,000 barrel disturbance in supply.
  18. There only chance at being competitive this week is if Lincoln Co. is working on there Riverdale game plan and planning on winging it v. Warren Co....I'd say your going to see the reverse of that score v. the 3A team.
  19. It is the cars as well. Foreign cars get much better mileage than there American counterparts, and this mileage could be even better. I like the truck tags idea, give it a different classification on the drivers liscence as well, training for a larger vehicle and maybe we can get some stupid teenagers out from behind the wheels of 2 ton duelee killing machines. Probably not a blanket, but a recognition that anything not getting at least 30 and more than ten years old is not as efficient and pollutes more than a newer model.
  20. Good post Caeser. #1 Stop giving tax breaks to Big Oil...We don't need more wells or refineries. #2 Stop giving the Auto industry a free pass. Raise legal min's on car's mpg now. #3 Start taxing owners of fuel in-efficient vehicles and older verhicles. Use the money to fund the construction of the "hydrogen economy" infrastructure. #4 End the production on non-hybrid vehicles over the next five years. Give the auto-industry some tax relief etc...to accomplish this. #5 Witness the transformation of America into the world's tech leader again and the added bonus of a weakening of middle eastern power brokers.
  21. Warren Co. by three+ scores. I heard Gordonsville would've thumped Dekalb if hadn't been a pull your starters in one quarter jamboree.
  22. Congrats to the pioneers. thumb
  23. She looks completely different now. Filling out, stretching those legs....etc...pretty amazing.
