Final score was Sequatchie 3TDs to Franklin Co 2TDs. Varsity was 2-2 with JV scoring 1 TD. It was a good scrimmage for Sequatchie because Franklin Co was big and physical with a very good, hard running back. SCHS was short a starter going into the game and had a few banged up but nothing too serious. Defense ran to the ball well. Offense hit two big plays on counters and the jv drove the length of the field and scored. A very productive spring for a very young team. The young kids needed those reps this spring and several of those guys will be good football players. Now they need to work really hard this summer on conditioning and the mental aspects of the game and they will be just fine.

Nice scrimmage overall. The one long pass was actually on Sequatchie's 2nd secondary as they rolled them in and out. Pickett was out because of a cut on the play. 10 play format is ok but a down and distance game, in my opinion, would have done wonders for the Indians because the Trojans had trouble stopping the Indians. The last series was 6 plays each from the 50 and the Trojans ended about the same place they started and Sequatchie missed a TD pass from the 10. Lots of work to do but not a bad day for 4 practices.On a side note, both QB looked poised and comfortable throwing the ball as each had a touchdown pass. Biggest stat for the Indians....0 fumbles, 0 turnovers.

anyone who knows football knows that Harpeth is a good team and Camden is a very good team. Omni is what we call a FFWD, which is a future fence walker of dunlap! He means well but his knowledge of the game is not near as vast as he thinks. Should be a great atmosphere Friday night and we welcome all Harpeth fans and team to the beautiful Sequatchie Valley and Indians Stadium. Have a safe trip friday

WE HAVE NEVER SAT ON THE BALL. also, majors and fulmer wont lots of games and each one had a national championship. btw, omni, whitwell runs the delaware wing t not "split back" offense. if you were at either game and knew what you were watching you wouldnt have even made that statement. Btw, i know who you are and we will talk. 2. sitting bull, our defense is physical and plays hard. Lay off the peacepipe. I Dont know which coach made you mad but if there is a problem address it with them in person. Internet isnt the way to go. 3. The coaching staff will NEVER teach a kid to play dirty or hit after the whistle. Too much class for that.

Plenty of depth? Wow you must know this team well. Dont know about the depth part but the Indians will be just fine. They play hard ad work hard. We have several key positions that must step up but all that will be answered in pads. You cant tell anything from a 7 on 7. it is good for conditioning and timing as well as teaching young DBs to break on the ball. If you are judging teams off of 7 on 7 then good luck. By the way, the depth at skill position isnt proven. Cant count on young guys until you see them in pads

Nothing wrong with the spy's intelligence. He asked a simple question and ended up with a lot of responses. The Lions struggled this spring. Sequatchie is a good team and the Lions had a really hard time with them. They also are installing a new defensive system, which could have been some of the problem. The Lions dont have much speed and that will hurt them but they play hard. As for the outburst, I dont think a message board is a place to discuss a kid or what happened. I am sure it will be dealt with according to the coach's rules. I know what my rules are but not everyone has the same set for certain actions. Well your screen name doesnt carry much credit with that statement. As of today there hasnt been any transfer. You must have some other info. The Indians are working hard in the weightroom. Not as many new faces from kids that didnt play last year as one would hope but with 18 or 19 upcoming seniors it is hard not to like the direction the Indians are headed. The main thing is if they can keep the program headed that way and not get complacent. Schedule has toughened with 2 defending state champions on the schedule. This group has grown into a good group of young men who like to put extra hours in. Hopefully it will pay off

Different set of Lambs. Omni, there werent any DL over 230 this year. What makes you think there will be next year? Lamb was 200 pounds (barely). DL is a concern. A huge concern. They lost both DE's, and the DT. Biggest DL that played last year in games weighed 215. Secondary is another issue defensively. Lost both corners, who were really good. LBers will be better. Offensively we must find a QB and 1 offensive lineman to fill in at guard. Need to find 2 TEs and 2 more running backs to fill in voids. Lots to work on in Dunlap. I know they have been getting better but dont crown them, yet. Each group is different. Looking for leaders in this group. If that happens, then start building them up.

coach the offense? where do you get that? averaged 33 points a game, 356 rushing per game. I guess since they didnt throw it 20 times a game there is something wrong with them. Tell you what, you should go to the fieldhouse and give the coaches some suggestions on what they should run offensively and maybe, just maybe, they will win a few games.

I know for a fact #2 hasnt done anything like that all year so dont know why he would now, what about the player that kicked him in the head while he was down? #30 and #12 didnt play much for SC so how did they late hit all night? might want to remove the rose colored glasses and realize there are several fans from several teams describing the same behavior from Goodpasture. I promise you the SC kids didnt start any of it, I was there. I have it on film. Was also close to the action.

Should be great weather for a game friday night. I have been hearing about how physical Goodpasture is but I dont think they have seen a more physical running game than Sequatchie has. i have seen both teams up close Gerry and Bratt isnt crazy. You might want to see Signal play before making that comment. Goodpasture is a good team but ALOT of people are underestimating Signal. They are for real

the most impressive thing is the class and respect these teams show each other after the games. They beat the crap out of each other and hug and shake hands at the end. The scrimmage game time has been pushed back to 7 because of the excessive heat. This is also the SCHS QB club's annual BBQ dinner. $5 a plate BBQ that will be served starting a little after 5 PM. We welcome all pirate fans to come up early and have some food and share war stories.

We have great football here and we should enjoy the seasons for what they are for; those players working their tails off because less than 3% of high school athletes sign college scholarships (this is ALL sports)

Dooley and staff are doing a good job. Tennessee does not have the talent to fill an SEC roster. There are not as many D1 athletes in this state. If Dooley and staff thinks Robinson can play for them he will offer. If he doesn't, he won't. It is that simple. Cody will do well wherever he ends up. He comes from a great family

Better go back and read the rules. Football can lift and condition but cannot do anything football specific; like run pass routes, play with footballs, ect. Many teams try to get around this with tennis balls or they ignore the rules. If coach was there and routes, footballs were thrown it is a rules violation.

Not knocking anyone but for the owls sake I hope this 7-on-7 is strictly player organized with no coaches present and off campus or they are in violation of TSSAA practice rules. Let's hope coaches are not present and it is happening at the local park!

He comes from good stock. I know his uncle well. Guys be careful posting these 40 times. I find it extremely hard to believe he is a 4.9. Not downing him because he is a good player but he looks more 5.1-5.3 on film. The combine times are very accurate. 40 times are always thrown out it makes me laugh. Kinda like all the 4.4 forties of high school kids. It don't happen. But he is a talented player with a future.

No, talking about mcminn. Chatt central was 2-3 plays away from losing to little ole sequatchie. The point was the Indians were in every game. The early part at mcminn with the muffed punt changed the game. Mcminn central was imploding until that point. Then the Indians got down for 2 quarters. But it is in the past. Maybe the Indians rebound and find ways to win or they find a coach who can find ways to win and learns about the Indian tradition.
