No they don't have fans. You won't get 10 paid admissions from Howard for this game.....maybe not 5. Halftime prediction....56-0 Lincoln County. You'll struggle to keep your total below 100. Howard may score two or three on you due to their speed and the fact that they play school yard football. Watch out for the trips left and three more to the right. They'll do that a lot. But rest assured, they're terrible and you'll struggle not score 80 or more. You might keep it low if you suit up the alumni in the third and the cheerleaders in the fourth. Del.

I'd give the Red Raiders the advantage at the moment. It's at their place and they play in a higher classification. Plus if they don't have any morale problems that's an advantage over us. But I'll pull for my Jackets no matter what. I've survived 1-9 seasons as a player and a fan. I may be upset about our current problems, but I'm behind our team no matter what. Del.

The arguing is happening on both levels. Who's at fault? I don't know and I'm not trying to point a finger. I wouldn't claim smart enough to know the answer, but I do know something is wrong. Again, this is the most talent we've had since our quarterfinal run in 1993. I think we should be 6-1 not 4-3. I'm trying to down the teams we've lost to, but I think we're clearly better than what we've played. I do know this much. I'm going to quit worring about it at the moment. I'm going fishing. Del.

Our fan support has been outstanding this year in my opinion. So saying anything against the fans won't fly. The fans don't suit up or coach. Our problems are on the field. I'm not about to say it's the coaches' fault or the players' fault. But I will say it falls somewhere within those two. Something isn't right. There were arguements on the field and other things that just don't bode well. So the fans have little to do with it. And for the record I was shocked at the small support from Marion County for their team. Those that were there were loud and proud, but the fact that the bleachers were less than half full on that side....including the band...just didn't look like a Jasper crowd. Where are the Marion fans? Del.

Joey Cook is out for the season but that excuse was gone in the Sequoyah game. I wish I knew what was wrong. Del.

The only thing I can suggest is to come up to Grundy and watch the game on cable tomorrow. If you can figure it out you're smarter than me. Del.

Without question Grundy got out played, out hustled and out everything else. Marion wanted it more and they took it. We have major problems at Grundy. MAJOR PROBLEMS. The talent is there but something is wrong with the heart and attitude. I won't begin to point fingers because I can't say one way or the other. Maybe it's one thing and maybe it's many. But there's no excuse for playing the way we are. Del.

Now that's a problem everywhere. Big guys who could make a difference but don't play. So I ask you this question.... Why don't you play? I'm not asking to take shots at you, I'm asking because I don't understand. We had some when I was in school that wouldn't play either. I always thought if I was as big as one of them I might could have been good enough to get to college. I would have killed to play college ball. I don't care if it would have been Tick Bush Tech I would have played if they let me. So again...why don't you play? Del.

Well I think both teams NEED this win. Marion is having a questionable year overall. Grundy looked strong to start but has slumped. Grundy has the most talent they've had since the quarterfinals run in 1993. If they're going to make a run this should be the year. However the way things have looked the last three weeks any playoff run will be short. They way they looked the first three weeks the Jackets could be deadly. I hope the team from the first three weeks shows up Friday. We need to rise back up to the level we're capable of playing. Plus.....stomping Jasper is always a good thing! Del (who learned to dislike Jasper when Colquette was there and still pretty much feels the same way.)

Does this game mean as much anymore? Del.

What radio show did they call in to? The Red Zone in Chattanooga? You know the way to fix this don't you? Call the game in yourself. The Red Zone was begging for folks to call in Friday night. Don't like what you hear....just call in and tell them the real story. That what I would do. Del.

Well, if it makes you feel any better I've never had a bad experience at Boyd caused by any kid. HOWEVER....... I did play in a JV game there many moons ago where one official threw 25 flags himself. All for neutral zone infractions. We wanted to kill the guy! Other than that I've had no problems. But I've still got to pull for the Pirates. After all I played against Vic. Del (who also has 3 $20 bets riding on the Pirates and a state title. Go Pirates!!)

Yeah, I talked to John Thursday morning. Found out from email response from the CDB earlier this week. John's sister is my boss...in my real job. Del.

Don't know what caused the change but there were NO problems at Howard last night. The teams and cheerleaders even prayed together after the game. So thank you to whoever seems to have things turned around there. Del.
