  1. bump... article in JC Press about Joslin and Shoun.
  2. First region game, both teams look good what's the prediction? SHHS-28 Sevier Co.-17 last year's game was during the Hurricane, sloppy game Sevier pulled away, hopefully this year is a little different.
  3. Boone? lol. anyway, who doubts SHHS now? Joslin is def. D-1 caliber like I've been saying and he has shown it since his sophmore year. Look out for SHHS this year, it's going to put the 2003 season to shame. Spread Option is the way to go. Shoun's second INT was some... well... you know, it was a drop. Good luck TN High, I saw some of last year's team in the stands tonight... cuz I always sit on the vistor side during home games. heard DB game was OR 7 DB 3 at half, didn't know what happened with that one but both teams are alright in my book... it's going to be a battle in the Big East this year.
  4. it'll be a lot closer than last year. shhs 20 ths 17
  5. Shoun is a white Vince Young. with all said and done SH wins easily, won't be like last year, or the year before or heck even the year before that cuz its been close the last three years even if it was the 'first game' of the season. Justice Joslin is amazing and one of the best talents in East Tennessee, along with Shoun and Michael Forney can make you miss so fast you're going to wonder why they scored so much. It was 14-0 at half but could have been 21-0 because SH fumbled on the 3... so don't be saying Central could have scored blah blah. Oh and The Hill won't be as physical as DB? Paaaaleeeeze. Waco Jaco has seen the light and he even goes for D-B, Science Hill is no joke this year. Good luck though, Betsy just has a hard as crap schedule this year and I commend that. Thought the D-B game would have been closer though? Maybe not..... good luck though keep this thread alive, I like to see people saying stuff about Science Hill for the first time in three years other than the yearly "D-B will murder Science Hill" thread at the end of the year....
  6. Science Hill - 35 Betsy - 10 B) Joslin gets at least another TD rec.
  7. The Hill dominated the Cougars of Sullivan Central tonight. 46-0, everyone hates so bad but this is quite possibly the most dominate performance by the toppers in years. Shoun threw for 3 TD passes and only played just about three quarters exactly. Joslin caught two of them, this is a team to watch out for this year... Betsy's next week, and I hope they come to play if not it's going to be run and gun nightmare.
  8. All right, all right... you want to know why S. Hill went 4-6 last year? I believe we were predicted to go about 7-3 at the beginning of the season and I 100% agreed with that. Pre-season, we had a 3-year starting FB go down, the strongest guy on the team because he was playing Nose guard. Also, Drew Turner a 3-year starting FS, could run a 4.4, only played about 3 games with a bum knee. He went down with an MCL tear or ACL, can't remember the Elizabethton game. He was D-1 potential and is trying to walk on to UT this year. Let's see who else, Brandon Shoun our QB who threw for 5 TD's and over 300 yards in his last game he played went down with a broken hand that game. HENCE Justice Joslin going to play QB, this kid is an athlete. Look out for him Big East, he's back at WR and Shoun back at the helm for their senior years. I played O-Line last year and you know why I didn't get any of those all-conferences because I'm 5'9", but I don't even care about that. Me (ex-Right Guard), the Left guard (went to play at UVA-Wise), and Center have left. the two tackles are still there which were the biggest guys on the line but now play center and guard. One of which is Ben Murray only a junior and is a monster getting looked at by D-1 schools. Hunter Thomas, we lost him to graduation and also went to UVA-Wise, the noseguard, as well as two OLB's and a running back. I watched their scrimmages and the offense is loaded, O-Line is huge and watch out for the Shoun/Joslin attack because it's back. The defense is going to be iffy again with many people changing around in the front seven, swapping positions. But do not bash this "4-6" team from a year ago because two years ago a "5-5" team went "8-2" the next season. the 5-5 year had close games, much like we did last year. the reason jeff co. killed us is due to the great ability of that shiverdecker guy. and why did TN High destroy us? oh yea, didn't they go to the state championship game? yeah, i believe they did, it was a loaded senior team. we shut them out in '03 when we had a loaded senior team. That was my input, take it or leave it.
  9. Science Hill vs. Greeneville (Aug 5th)
  10. 1. D-B 2. SHHS 3. Campbell Co. 4. Jeff Co.
  11. I didn't think Elizabethton was very good last year... we beat them, but I know we played harder against D-B and still got beat pretty bad, but physically it was close. I suppose EHS didn't lose many? but I know D-B lost their one, two punch... but always reload. I can't wait to hear how SHHS does against both this year. Is the QB for EHS still there? he was alright.
  12. No Justice Joslin for WR or DB? crazy.
  13. Science Hill was rebuilding last year, as well as going through tough injures to possible all-conference players. Brandon Shoun will be back at QB for his senior season who went down last year after Knox. Bearden suffering a broken hand. His last game played he went 9 for 12 300+ yds passing and five touchdowns. The O-Line lost two guards and the center which they will be replacing with a few sophmores and juniors. The kids coming up were bigger than last year so I doubt there will be any 5-footish o-line. Justice Joslin will be back on offense playing his original role as WR because as any of you know he finished the season as the QB last year, not winning a game but very impressive in his couple starts. He, along with Shoun will be the playmakers to watch on his Topper O. Michael Forney will be back at running back, he is one of the quickest there is. Defense lost two OLB, a nose guard, defensive tackle, and saftey. Not entirely sure about any of these positions but they will be filled soon enough. That's all I got guys. I played last year but still lookin' out for my highschool.
  14. nobody mentioned anyone from SH? dang... Ryan Kind, Kevin Kenny from SHHS
  15. Justice Joslin from Science Hill - potential to be all-state...all-state honorable mention last year for the most part it was due to the fact he played QB for 4 games
  16. Nat Scott from Science Hill (rising junior) - started as a sophmore at FB because brother Jon-David Scott (was going to be a 3-year starter) suffered an miserable torn ACL in a scrimmage against Sullivan South.
  17. wes black - science hill (sr.)...returning offensive right tackle...bench-300, powerclean-265, squat-495, deadlift-500
  18. Justice Joslin, Brandon Shoun, Wes Black - Science Hill High School
  19. Kevin Kenny of Science Hill has I think 4 goals in 3 games..
  20. GO TOPPERS! tomorrow night will be so much more hyped than the district title game, trust me... and that night the roof was shaking from all the comotion. ill be there, i predict SH wins another close one... and then both teams have a good showing at state. topper guys you should tell me who you are. haha i can't figure it out!
  21. CRAZY GAME! went to OT and the Toppers pull it out by 6, so much angst in the air in there and don't even do the "what about football" garbage, this is bball get real. us SHHS kids can take it anywhere, anybody that was at the game want to say our fans aren't up for our team? you are crazy. anyway, who's next?
