yes, it indeed is an odd numbered year so i guess it is wartburg's year to win. i would like to see them beat harriman in the championship personally. but come tourney time, anything is possible.

ahh, its school. i dont have classes on tuesday or thursdays so i can take it easy on those days. but overall, its not that bad.....you gotta pick to win the tourney?

T could have chased him down if he had felt like it. He was being nice and letting them have at least ONE good highlight from the game. but this year the winning streak continues as wartburg rolls to a big W.

We had it moved up there for the sub-state game. It was all part of the master plan. What is all this going on and on about the score keeper (talking about several different posts here, not just the one I quoted above)? Did he shave some of your points or something? The only thing I am aware of is that he failed to I was just stating the fact that I had never seen that before, not whining bout 'home cookin' or anything like that. So get your stuff straight pal.

ok, first of all i was sitting next to the accussed 'spitter' and that is totally false. The old rent-a-cop came over and said he had seen him do it. and mentioned it 15 mins after the game was over. only after some 40 year old is tryin to start something with a 16 year old. A) he never did it and B ) if he had why are you gonna wait till that late to say something to him?? just wanted to clear that up. and you're gonna talk bout coach davis being classless??? so showing emotion and having some fire is classless? not to mention Unaka's coach coming over near Wartburg's crowd and with a smerk on his face and sarcasticly waving us bye. thats a little less classy then a coach showing emotion and sittin on the floor. i'm not gonna get on here whining about the refs. granted they werent the best id ever seen, Wartburg girls had plenty of chances to win that ball game. the T in the 4th quarter, missed free throws, and a few mental break-downs just to name a few. and thats the first time i'd ever seen a scorer's table in a corner up high like that. pretty weird to me. but our girls had a good season and they'll be back next year!

I agree that home court is an advantage. But don't forget what Wartburg did last year when they went down to Harriman and beat them for the championship on their home court. But regardless, it's shaping up to be a great tournament.

well on friday, Sequatchie (spelling?) Co. beat Midway by 30 or so. Also, Wartburg beat Sweetwater by 17. thats all i know.

gol20tyme, not all morgan county teams struggle with roane county teams, since wartburg put 2 of them out in the district tourney...and were district champs!!

although wartburg lost some good seniors last year, they should still be alright. although not as big since we lost davidson, but we'll make up for it for our ability to shoot the ball. its hard to tell who's gonna be the top team, we'll just have to wait till the season starts and find out.

no hshoops, vespie did not graduate last year. he is now a senior.

actually biggamer or should i say jackass......that guy that does the games on the radio for weco doesnt have a son that plays for wartburg....its coalfield. although my dad does work there and i play for wartburg im prob who you were talkin about. but id say where you live you cant even afford a radio so you wouldnt know. and last i checked harriman's still going for their first win???? yep your right.....what a real team. a losing one!!

it seems to me just because wartburg supposedly hadnt played anybody that we're gonna get beat. just because we havent been in a 'battle' or whatever rockwood's been in doesnt mean we havent played in big games before. this group of seniors have been starting 3 and some 4 years. so we know what its like to play in big games whether or not we've had some this year or not. but bottom line we'll just have to wait until friday night to find out....cant wait!

yea i remember cause that was my 8th grade year....Rwood was leadin 14-0 at the half and we came back and won 21-14 if im not mistakin. and people think just because Rwood beat Kingston they're headin straight to M'boro. and they think wartburg hadnt played anybody and we're gonna lay down or something.....wrong answer. im tellin ya Wartburg is gonna come out fired up and ready to play. its gonna be a hard fought game and we'll just have to wait and see who comes out victorious.

well as a starter, i know for a fact they didnt score on us because i would have been in there if they did. not that it matters now but just to set it straight they didnt score on our starters.

well maybe if you wouldnt get on here and act like a jackass and talk about how harriman is soo good when they havent won a ball game in god knows how long then maybe people would. first, worry about winning a few games. and also to get respect u got to give it, which ur doing a GREAT job at that. yea right.

C-field played us pretty hard last night. ill give em some credit. our defense kept gilbert in check most of the night, minus a long screen pass. no disrespect to him, but he only had 2 yards rushing. you can talk bout bad calls here and bad calls there but bottom line the better team won. and for everyone doubting w-burg the whole time...well i dont think i really need to say anything. we did our talking on the field. but good luck to c-field the rest of the year, u boys should do good in ur region.
