Ned, I want to add my words of appreciation to you for taking time to visit here to explain more about unapproved website and your rating system. Those of who are High School sports fanatics really enjoy visiting and comparing the various sites and ratings. Keep up the good work, and visit CoachT often.

Absolutely.... and employers should have the right to fire those who break comapany rules while protesting and replace those who choose to strike.

WOW...The Colts are for real!! They are playing with a lot of confidence. Unless something changes dramatically, the Titans will most likely be looking to earn a wild card berth in the playoffs this year. Maybe the emergence of Indy will convince Reece and Fisher to replace Eddie "I've fallen and I can't get up" George with someone who wants to carry the ball!

NLCS
gobigred replied to Illini's topic in Lookouts, Redbirds, Smokies, Sounds, & Major League Baseball
This is going to be a great series with two interesting story lines. The Cubs seeking to overcome a long drought with a new manager, and the Marlins coming back from a miserable first half after hiring a 72 year old manager in mid season that was coaching his grand children in Little League at the time he was hired. I can be happy with either team winning. -

gobigred replied to swamp's topic in Lookouts, Redbirds, Smokies, Sounds, & Major League Baseball
I expected the Braves to lose in the NLDS. They do a great job of building teams for winning pennants, but seldom produce post season success. It has happened for several years. Here's why. Almost every year the Braves are in command early in the pennant race. Shortly after the All Star break they consistently go on cruise control for thr remainder of the season. There is an obvious lack of emotion, almost to the level of boredom, and the "hustle" level appears to drop dramatically. I thought they were especially lethargic during September this year. The Cubs (and Marlins) on the other hand, were battling for their playoff lives during the same period. They came into the series playing inspired baseball and expecting to win. I agree with Swamp to some degree. Bobby Cox has had great success winning pennants, but he does a poor job of keeping an edge on his teams. The NBA Lakers and the Braves have proved once again this year that you can't just "turn it on" when you feel like it in pro sports. To add to the problem this year, the Braves bullpen was atrocious, and we all know pitching usually wins out in a short series. It may be too late for Cox to learn from yet another hard lesson in the playoffs. His retirement is rumored, and it looks like Time-Warner is going to cinch up the purse strings, which means there will be an exodus of talent from Turner Field in the near future. -
Super job, Wes. Thanks for putting in the hard work on the site. It would be great if your coverage could be expanded to include DII basketball and baseball some time in the future.

rollredroll and 64, I have some credibility questions about the unapproved website site starting with their power ratings which have two teams from Montana as #1 and #5 in the country. Nothing against Montana HS football, but that is bizarre don't you think?

Congrats to Franklin on a big win in the battle for bragging rights in Williamson County.

I found out the pasta is catered now instead of being homemade by the freshman moms...You are right rollredroll, it was good! MBA played arguably their best game so far this year tonight. The Big Red offense seems to be able to move the ball on the ground and through the air with equal effectiveness. It will take that kind execution (minus the fumble) to win next week. Keep up the good work guys.

MBAalumnus, I can't believe you said that. The Mother's club has been offered millions for that spaghetti recipe!! LOL blu, No one from MBA is predicting a blowout. On the subject of cheerleaders, ours are students at St. Cecilia and Harpeth Hall. They compare very favorably with the cheerleading squad from McCallie.

Ted, Your points above are on target. Unfortuantely for Rush, when an entertainment figure who depends on advertising revenue for survival makes a controversial (read: politically incorrect) statement, he becomes instantly vulnerable in today's society. I agree with ELA on this one. Rush made a stupid move this time. He either committed a serious judgement error, or he is so arrogant that he thought he could get away with his remarks. In either case, it will cost him. Limbaugh, in my opinion, is currently more concerned about being entertaining and tooting his own horn than he is about providing legitimate conservative commentary. I seldom listen to his show. G. Gordon Liddy is a more intelligent and well rounded conservative voice. He is way too smart to ever make a mistake like this.

Most people will pick MBA to come out on top, and on paper, they should. There is no doubt, however, that McCallie will come to Nashville with a hunger to get back into the DI AAA title hunt with an upset victory. The Big Red must be prepared for a quality team in McCallie that features one of the best players in the state in Ryan Moore. MBA needs to put together a complete, mistake free performance as they prepare for the stretch run in the conference race. They must eliminate breakdowns on special teams and avoid drive killing penalties that have been a problem at times. The toughest games of the season are yet to come starting with Friday night's contest. Roll Red Roll

It looks like Tyner could compete at any level other than perhaps DII AAA this year.

Congrats to Christian Brothers on another impressive win. The last few weeks of the DII AAA season are going to be dynamite!

MBA 36 - Father Ryan 22. The game was not close. The MBA first team offense and defense was dominating. The lone Irish TD in the first half resulted from a blocked punt that was caused by yet another poor snap. The Big red led 36-7 early in the third quarter and the reserves took over at that point. Father Ryan scored two TD's late in the game on MBA's 2nd and 3rd team defense. I have to give Ryan's kids credit, they played hard the whole game.

Nuttily Minds and company will morph from the Dixie Chicks into the new girl rap group.... Dyxc Chykz!

This should be a great game to watch. Sorry FHSreb, I saw the Cougars play BA and they have to much ground game for the Rebels. Cougars 21 Rebels 17

The formation of the Super 7 in football has created several new rivalries. Now that MBA and BA play each other at least once (usually twice) each year, I think the rivalry has shifted in that direction. The heated rivalry with Father Ryan, at least for now, seems to have cooled. I do not agree with you guys that the Irish are terrible. They have not enjoyed as much success as they are used to there recently, but playing in DII has a lot to do with that. The league is very tough. They started the year with a big win over Franklin County and are showing signs of improving. I wish their players and coaching staff much success in the future. Good luck Friday night.
