  1. I wouldnt get too upset where anyone's favorite team is after just a few weeks. The strong will be around at the end. That being said, how can JCM be rated 7 spots higher than a Brighton team to whom they lost? Discuss amongst yourselves.
  2. 2 words for you........... Cassandra Howard. end of debate
  3. Crockett County goes on the road and beats Page 10-3. Any thoughts?
  4. I gotta admit.....i giggled just a little myself.
  5. Lexington played a super game and put in on my Cavs tonight. Congrats to the Tigers and good luck next week. As for Crockett County.....its just one loss and there is plenty of time to get healthy and recover from tonight. Stay focused and learn from the loss. Concentrate on South Side and trying to wrap up at the best playoff seed possible.

dms? Are you with the Dyersburg National Guard Unit? If so, I have three guys who I want you to say hello to. Just let me know.
  8. I haven't seen the score posted at Coach T or at TSSAA but I sure hope this is correct. Doug Argo is a class act and is working hard to turn this program around. These young men deserve to win and I send major congrats to the Pioneers from Crockett County.
  9. Is the Peabody 21 Milan 14 score right? If it is....what a shocker.
  10. Crockett County wins 11-6. It wasn't pretty...but it is a region win on the road. Cavs go to 6-0.
  11. Godspeed to these young men from a Crockett County fan.
  12. I cannot speak for Coach Doug Argo, who I happen to know and think a lot of, but I have a feeling he is thinking......... "Ohhhhhhhh Yeahhhhhhhhhh" Good luck Doug. Here's an early salute for your first win of many to come. You are a class act.
  13. I just read the Jackson Sun article and I have to admit I was surprised. What's the real deal VG?
  14. I just wanted to throw out my congrats to Bolivar and Jackson South Side on their appearances in the State AA Finals. While I am a Crockett County sports fan, I am proud that we have 2 West TN teams playing in tomorrow's finals. May the best team win. Its great to have 2 teams from District 12AA playing one another in the finals. And we thought 13AA was tough?
  15. scroll up my friend.....its right above you
  16. Let me add mega kudos to the Lady Cavaliers for their great tournament run. You gals have improved so much this year and are playing inspired basketball. Keep on believing!!!!!!!! This team has overcome some serious tragedy....Jr. Hillary Russell was killed in an August auto accident and Jr. CJ Hoppers tore her ACL playing powder puff football in Sept. They have 3 freshmen and 2 sophmores who get a lot of minutes. I dont think anyone was expecting a trip to the Boro but no one is complaining. BTW....Wescharge.....I still cannot believe Haywood beat the Lady Chargers. Im still shaking my head over that one. Good Luck Lady Cavs!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. And you guys wonder why the DI privates are upset about the multiplier? This take the whole "fairness" issue to another level. I guess the definition of the word "fairness" depends on whether your child attends a private or a public school.
  18. I for one say good riddence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a Crockett County fan I am glad he has graduated....the guy gave us fits in the 2001 ande 2003 playoffs. Seriously.....congratulations to Jared Elliot and best of luck in your future. I knew when I saw you in the playoffs as a Sophmore you had a future ahead of you at the next level. Godspeed as you make your dreams come true.
  19. Sorry guys.....looks like the hometown Cardinals get the marquee QB. James Banks anyone?
  20. Here's the money passage and quote from the Jackson Sun Article: "Milan High School is among those that enroll students from outside its district lines if it has room in that student's grade. All it costs is a $50 application fee. Milan High Principal and Athletic Director Tim Warren said he knew of athletes from Carroll County and outside zone lines who played for the Bulldogs, but he doesn't feel that compares with private schools." "It's entirely different," Warren said. "I don't think the TSSAA knows what it's getting into." Somebody care to explain how its different?
  21. The Commercial Appeal ignores the majority of West TN schools since we are out of their coverage zone. The Jackson Sun does the same since Memphis is out of their coverage zone. Consider it a rural West Tennessee team. Not to mention the fact that rural West TN considers Memphis either a part of North Mississippi or Eastern Arkansas.
  22. And the message you are sending out to all Class A schools and their players is this: "You are not capable of beating a private school....they are better than you....you are a victim of circumstances beyond your own control....you need help to win a championship"
  23. And the winners areeeeeeeeeeee........ Mr. Football 2003 winners
  24. The TSSAA link is up!!!!!!1 MR. FOOTBALL WINNERS
