  1. This one won't be close. Baylor is an average team that will be beat by a good McCallie team.
  2. BA stuggled with a very mediocre Baylor team. BA's defense was put into many tough situations in the first half and did a good job only giving up one TD. BA's defense totally dominated in the 2nd half. The BA offense is another story. The running game is good enough to beat mediocre teams on its own. They will not be able to just run against good teams. This offense looks like the "same old " BA offense that loses in big games because it is to predictable. Their offense this year is tunring away from a vertical passing attack to a "horizontal" passing attack. 3 completions / 9 attempts for 9 yards, that will strike fear in the hearts of upcoming BA opponents. This BA defense better begin playing REAL good becuase this offense will struggle against teams putting 8 and 9 players in the box. No passing game NO gold ball this year
  3. I just got back from the game. Josh Bone was clearly the BA player of the game, he rained 3's on the Mitchell defense, had at least 6-7 rebounds and did a great job against a tough Mitchell press. Brian Wright made a couple of plays where you wondered who was the player in Brians uniform. One time he took a pass on the base line took one dribble and dunked over two Mitchell players. Brandon Brown did a great job on the offensive and defensive boards. And Brandan did his usual great job! I would have never thought this team would have beaten the best of West Tennessee, win the City of Palms and Arby's Classic and still have a chance to win the State Championship. Who would have thought after this years schedule the only losses would have come from two mid-state teams, Shelbyville and Whites Creek. Interesting year....
  4. Hey pro2 know, appreciated your analysis on bathrooms, concessions and Division II basketball but the last time these 2 teams played lowly old BA beat mighty Bolivar by 8. I can assure you BA respects Bolivar and will expect a very tough game.
  5. Does anyone know what the standings are in the Divison II middle region. I wonder who will be playing whom in the upcoming District tournament.
  6. The bottom line is that Brentwood Academy is the best team in the state.... not every team comes to play every night like jek said.... but they will pull the victory out...
  7. Maybe this huge win, on a national stage, may move them into second in the Tennessean Mid-state poll. What a joke!
  8. I don't think the RHS backcourt can stop Nick Krow, he should have a monster game and be the differnce.
  9. I don't think the RHS backcourt can stop Nick Krow, he should have a monster game and be the differnce.
  10. Has Shelbyville played yet this year and what do the BA Eagles have to deal with?
  11. Franklin's season will end Friday night. Remember this team lost to a bad Father Ryan team.
  12. Hey Chattcity what college's are looking at BJ? He is a very good QB and only going to get better.
  13. Wiht possibly a 4 way tie for first place who should play who in the first round of the play offs in 2 weeks. This may take a NASA computer to figure out. Does anyone have an idea?
  14. WesVols do not forget BA's own Barry Turner who was the first true freshaman this year to get considerable playing time for the University of Nebraska. During their last game On ABC Musberger said the coaches think Turner will be the next superstar to come from Nebraska!
  15. MBA is going to make JPII realize "they aren't in Kansas" anymore. Welcome to the Big Time!
  16. WOW! One of the weakest teams in Division II smokes one of "the best" 5-A teams on their home field. Nuff said about D-2 football AND who is the best in Williamson County!
  17. There is a rumor going around Nashville that Christian Brothers high scholl has four new starters on their team who have moved in from New Orleans. I'm wondering if this is true, if so how are the current players taking this.
  18. USA you are exactly right. I thinl fftballkicker has taken to many headers after reading his logic.
  19. Another reason why Ravenwood is going to be up for this game is this is "the year" for this team. Sure they have some young talent, but this teams heart and soul are their seniors. This is the group that all started as 9th graders and the ones that are left are a pretty special group. I would expect for this years Ravenwood/BA game to be much more competitive than next years game. I'm proud of Coach Rector stepping up ans scheduling this game. It is a shame that BHS felt they could not compete with BA and put an end to their series, look at the gate alone and the excitement this game created in the City of Brentwood. I'm glad that Ravenwood stepped up and I hope this game becomes the Week 0 game for both teams for years to come. Go let BHS open with Coffee County and the rest of the surrounding county teams. Should be a good one and I have a feeling you need to get there early to find a seat.
  20. Coach T readers should be the first to know that the Pac Man deal is done. You will read about it tomorrow and he will be on the field Wednesday. Whos says Coach T subscribres don't hear the news first!
  21. Hey Pope 57 have a clue; Brentwood Academy had 2 sophomores last year who made 1st team All State Division II. Tyree Ford at runnung back and Bill Kottas at wide receiver.
  22. I am in the market for a used football jugs gun. If you know of someone who is interested in selling one please contact me at 615-373-9137.
  23. Congratulations Lipscomb! AE's loss is just another example of how bad east-Tennesse basketball is. East Tennessee AAU teams never advance in the state tourney in any age group and the high school level of play indicates the same when you get to the big dance. Looks like another Midddle and West dominated State Tourney.
  24. Hey PatriotFan05, take your medication and come back to reality. What a waste of computer space!
  25. In tourney time all you want to do is win and advance and that is waht BA did today. Give credit to a great Harding Academy effort. This is the kind of team you would hatte to play. Well coached, good conditioned, know thier roles and execute very well. They came in to this game loose and played like it. Their coach and fans should be very proud of their team and thier effort. An excellent "source" at the game said Price is definitely D-I talent, maybe a notch below SEC but still a very good player and he is only a junior!
