    Week 0

I'm assuming your a Germantown fan..if not ignore this post. I recently moved to the other side of that state and cant get any info on my Devils....any info you have would be greatly appreciated. (How did spring ball go???Who is gonna replace Brandon at QB???Who's replacing Kasser and West at LB postions??)
  3. It was a great game but a very painful loss 14-10....so you can imagine the bullets we were sweating when Riverdale got the ball back with a chance to win it all this past season. Another 14-10 loss to Rverdale in Finals would have been to much.
  4. Kurston Biggers scored a touchdown every other time he touched the ball, whether it be kick returns or rushes. The 1996 BA stable was the greatest high school backfield I have ever seen. All-Americans in Biggers and FB Tito Lee, and one of the fastest men in BA history in HB Hunter Atkins (very elusive, also scored frequently). Atkins was heavily recruited (mainly for Track) until tearing his ACL against Columbia Central his senior year...he still walked on at Auburn. BA would have been a wishbone team w/ All-american Austin Kemp at QB, but they decided instead to use Kemp at TE/LB and put Lance Phillips at QB because he had a rocket arm and BA had dynamite receivers in Ryan Huskey and Bo Clift (also the kicker). Anyway, back to the subject at hand...one of the best backs I've seen play is Clarksville Northeast/Tennessee HB Travis Stephens. In the 1995 BA-Northeast classic 5A Quarters showdown, Stephens carried the NE offense. Even though they couldn't scape the endzone paint (BA won 7-3), he got them close on several occasions. I played against the 96' BA team in the semi's(mud bowl)...Kurston and Tito were both studs....I'd say that was the second best team i ever played against.
  5. Jeff fite was an assistant on my pee-wee football team...didnt he make the 49ers roster as a punter???
  6. I would agree...last years MBA team would have most likely beatin Germantown. MBA's balanced attack would have been a nightmare for the Devils undisciplined secondary....but its a new year and MBA lost a great deal(as did Gtown)..so I wouldnt be so quick to make MBA a Multi Touchdown favorite.
  7. Abe Felix-Houston and Ahmad(?)Galloway-Millington(became a stud at Alabama) (Not meant as the best ever...just a couple of the better ones i had a chance to watch play.)
  8. Thats a bold statement for a team that went 6-6 last year. I can't tell if you meant that to be racist??? explain. BTW Bram Cannon..he wouldn't happen to be the younger brother of Chris Cannon...QB at Harding about 6 years back.
  9. I dont know about Riverdale(seems wierd..but they were mostly juniors last year)...but i thought it aweful strange to not a have a single Gtown player. How did they pick the teams??? If coaches did that could explain it...CBHS and Germantown havent gotten along together for a good while.
  10. What??? Byrd played a series and did nothing the only qb who got anything going was Long.
  11. Just the guys from Lemming's 100 to watch in 2005 Jeff Cottam 6-8, 250, 4.7 Germantown (Tenn.) Michael Oher 6-5, 330, 5.0 Memphis (Tenn.) Briarcrest Christian Malcolm Rawls 6-5, 300, 5.1 Memphis (Tenn.) East
  12. It was Germantown's first game after replacing 17 starters from the 02 squad including the QB...and the first game for a new head coach.
  13. Complete domination by the West. Final score West 37 East 7
  14. First half impressions....West O-Line and D-line are dominating. Solima looks very accurate may need to work on arm strength...Bell looks very good as well. Not much good going for the East...the new QB Long looks like he might be able to move them some. West 13-East 7 East is very fortunate too still be in this game...I doubt they can keep it close in the second half.
  15. Germantown and Hillsboro would have both crushed Milan..Infact Germantown and Milan had a common opponent...Covington. Germantown 31 Covington 7....Milan 21 Covington 14.
  16. *rim shot* cause that was a joke....4A,5A,IIAA,IIAAA Milan would have no shot at.
  17. When did this come about??? In my day we called it H*LL..but I guess Inferno is a little more PC.
  18. Even with the 94' loss I've always respected the Warriors for winning and losing with class(ya'll have done alot more winning than losing). It will be tough road for both teams...but I sure would love to see Riverdale and the Devils in a rematch.
  19. Wow such class displayed in that post...someone should lock this thread!
  20. Yes I played...The pitch was a arrant option attempt by us that allowed riverdale to get the ball back and drive for the game winner....I'm not bitter i swear!
  21. The 2002 JCM team was good..but not the caliber of the other teams in this list. In my opinion the 94' JCM team was a good bit better.
