  1. Ti-Ta, I was looking at state records on the TSSAA website and here is what I found: Ralph King holds the record for: most rushing TD's in a season--43 most rushing TD's in a career--95 Plus he's 2nd all time for TD's in a career--97 he's 2nd all time for TD's in a season--48 he's 3rd all time for rushing yards in a season--2,647 he's 4th all time for TD's in one game--8 he's 8th all time for rushing yards in a carrer--5,784 And Gerald Riggs isn't even listed in any of the lists.
  2. In track, his senior year at state he earned enough individual points to beat all the other teams combined.
  3. That's who I was thinking, but especially Hillsboro.
  4. Sean was on the team, but he quit and just runs track now. I've never heard of Corey Waller so I guess he's not on the team.
  5. I'm not in high school, but the best player on my team (MTSU) would be Clint Marks, QB. He passed for over 3,000 yards (I think it might have been closer to 4,000) last year and will be a redshirt-junior this year. He was #1 in the nation last year in passing percentage for a team ranked #15 in the nation in passing.
  6. I don't even want to try to guess at this.
  7. I'm not an alcoa fan, but I consider them a power house in 2A. You all have every right to be confident in the team because Alcoa is the defending state champs, have some of the best players in the state (maybe in the nation), etc....
  8. I haven't seen too many cocky Alcoa fans on here, just respectable ones.
  9. It looked pretty reasonable to me considering it's just preseason.
  10. Too bad Maryville won't join them.
  11. I'm the smallest LB on the team, but my size is right, well, maybe I'm closer to 5'9". Kevin Simon for UT is only 5'11" 225. They also have one that's 5'11" 215 and another 5'11" 210. Actually now that I think about it, our starting WLB only weighs 200 and led the team in tackles last season.
  12. This is very true. At MTSU, we have a 300 lb. line man who only benches 300 and power cleans less than 300. But he runs a 4.8 40 and he is the hardest hitting lineman on the team. He's probably the best lineman we have.
  13. Thanks everybody for explaining why Alcoa is in 2a....for better competition.
  14. They shouldn't have accepted the furniture, but they lost their stuff in a fire so I can see why they tried to keep the furniture.
  15. Manzikert, I can only think of 2 times the Titans have gone to the AFC championship since they've been in Nashville. One was in 1999 when they beat Jacksonville to go to the Super Bowl and the other was when they lost to the Raiders in 2002 (I think). 1999: lost in Super Bowl, first year in the playoffs since coming to Nashville in 1996 2000: lost in first round to Baltimore 2001: didn't make the playoffs 2002: lost in AFC title game to Oakland 2003: lost in 2nd round to New England 2004: I don't think they even made the playoffs did they?

    Well it's about time.
  17. Alcoa only has 300 students? Then how the heck are they 2A. They should be 1A.
  18. Not that bad of a game. Remember, Siegel has only won 1 game in 2 years and that was against LaVergne. But I guess we'll see.
  19. Actually the best player to come from my school is Ralph Stembridge or Rico Turner. Why do you keep insisting that I'm Ryan Jeanette. He's 6'6" 300+ lb. I'm only 5'8" 210 lbs.
  20. True, but there is a certain amount of pride you have when you can improve your one rep max and be able to say, "hey, I lifted that much weight!"
  21. I don't know if being taller would help him so much as being heavier.
  22. I agree that UT has a problem with thugs. UT has had problems over the years with people like Leonard Little, Dewayne Goodrich, etc... Since Feb. '04, they've have 13 players to get cited or arrested. But I do like the fact that the program is good enough that kids from California are willing to come all the way across the nation just to play for UT. That speaks a lot about the program.
  23. Well good luck to him. I never saw him play until the BCB this year and he truly amazed me.
  24. That's the teams I picked them to beat or possibly beat. It's not really a joke about the former Riverdale kids that made Blackman's football program so good at first. Half of our team the first 2-3 years came from Riverdale and Oakland. These 2 schools, especially Riverdale, work exceptionally hard and have a better mentality than teams like LaVergne do. We had guys who played at these 2 schools who knew what it took to win big time ball games.
  25. yeah you wish old geezer. You couldn't even hit me if you threw you're walker at me.
